Misconseptions in JC

The ignorance of people who live in JC never ceases to amaze me. You post all of these complaints about what is going on in the city without searching out the facts. Everyone is intitled to their opinion, but before you go speaking out don't you think you should have all the fact, so that you can make an informed decsion?
Most of the people on here probably didn't even vote in the last city election, therefore your opinion doesn't count. You don't even take the time to check out the allegations against people before you post it. You are just another trouble maker. How about spending your energy on something positive instead of always trashing people who are trying to make a difference.

Some of you folks can't accept Dennis Presley lost the election, or in the previous city election your candidate lost.
It seems also some people has to much time on their hands and get on these blogs to vent their anger.
Go back on your meds and maybe in another election you will have better luck with your candidates.
Though I doubt it.

Actually if ya really got to know, Im just kind of sick of all politicians and their corruption. Johnston City certainly has no shortage of that. People have every right to complain about it. So if ya don't like...tough!!!

I think the one who DO vote have every right to complain. There are morons running amok in this town. They are CONFIRMED to running things illegally, yet no one stops them...but maybe they are watching and waiting for the right time to get them in something bigger. Corruption runs deep in this small town. Don't be an ostrich with your head in the sand, or is it somewhere else? I vote. I go to meetings. I campaign for a change and I pay taxes. I am ALLOWED to have a voice here or anywhere.

It'll be interesting to see how the discussion goes tonite. It seems as though there might be some discrepencies in how the public works director is being paid. Rumor has it he's being paid extra to operate a road grader that the city has already paid for an operator on. Also rumor has it of some falsified overtime hours to get his check up to what they promised him. Im most towns this would be considered illegal, but in JC it same ol same ol. Its only tax dollars right??? Im sure Torch will correct this asap. Council meeting tonite at 6pm

Alas I was not disappointed. The Torch was missing two of his minions at the table last nite. So in their infinite wisdom nearly everything was tabled until the next meeting. They did however find enough strength to approve a new stop sign ordinance. But the publics works director will have to wait on his 2nd or 3rd pay raise this year until next month. They were really quiet when it came to the treasurers annual report. Seems as though it drastically changed from the report they were asked to approve two weeks ago. Even the finance chairman had no comment. Interesting. Stay tuned.
