The problem with auburn

I really dont like to bash the town I live in but here we go. The problem with this town is shown greatly on this website, GOSSIP QUEENS ! Example...Now people aware of this site now know that if they are going to get a job here like in customer service they will most likely be brought up on a thread located on topix.This site has bashed or critiqued employees from Quiznos,Sunmart,Amigos,Sonic,n ot sure about pamida and rieger lawn care.These people are just trying to make some sort of living but for whatever reason they have to be torn apart or sexually harrassed by a number of inbred half wits that patrol this site.Auburn has always had gossip but topix has now given them power...u people have cute little screen names and for the first time in you pathetic lives feel like you are important. Well guess what you are not,and auburn is not important to outsiders due to its rep as being a breeding ground malcontent gossip queens. Holla

the problem with auburn is if you have fun you get a ticket the whole county is over policed and the sheriff dept are the most low life liers.auburn used to be a fun place to hang out i no people who grew up in auburn but refuse to come back becouse of the cops little hitlers.assholes.punks.pricks. csuckers they hung they a guy in iraq that acked the same as apd and ncsd the mayer and county comm should take notice becouse thats the problem with bars-taverns like boondocks going under.think about it.

I'm glad some of the taverns and bars are closing. They just contribute to drunk roughneck low lifes. Maybe if they don't have anywhere to hang out they will move to FC or NC and then our town won't be such a "podunk" town as you say.

The nicer lounges are doing fine.

According to the county paper, there are 22 buildings in Auburn slated for demolition. That's a whole lot of buildings, folks. Some of them are perfectly fine but need a lot of cosmetic work to make them look decent again. For that, they have to go. Auburn has absolutely no regard for its own history or aesthetics. I'd like to be around in 200 years when Auburn is nothing but a few ramshakle houses and a courthouse.

Everyone that has had to travel through Auburn, asks why we have so much law enforcement! Good damn question, back in my fathers day they covered the county with very few decent guys. We have the same population ,if not less. They are suppose to be there to protect and serve, maybe a couple. Talk to guys that work the shutdowns, they try and find a place to stay other than Auburn. They either have been stopped because of out of state plates, or might have went up town for a couple beers after a long day. Remember boys these people bring in a lot of revenue when they are here, try to get to know these people, not harass them. But it will not stop til Bob is out and run Lovelace out of town (should not be commissioner over deputies and a state patrol, need more voters that really know whats going on! Oh it was another dead alumni this year, know one likes to come back anymore because of this towns issues!

Here's a New Business Idea. Someone start a Taxi service. Then, we can all drink and don't have to drive drunk. It benefits the economy in many ways. Still Drinkin', new business in town, Cops not pickin' on dui's etc. Gosh, I'm a brain-child!

I'm for this one. It would help a whole lot of people. The Handi Bus is very limited. Sometimes old people like to go places in the evening. They don't all go to bed at 8:00 especially when there is a choice.

I was going to do that several years ago but the insurances were sky rocket high

Someone showed me what the town of Spearfish, SD does. They have a "Get buzzed avoid the fuzz" program that the local bars and law enforcement put together.$5 for singe ride,$3 for each additional head when going to the same location and surrounding towns $15,$5 for each additional head. I don't understand why we can't get local bar owners and law enforcement to work together, this adversarial relationship is hurting the town.
