Anyone else think Myron and the school board lady are going to freeze out Cheek and Tomika?

Myron will not be re-elected due to her back stabbing the seniors concerning the Seniors Center. Vance Cheek will be a "Yes Man" like the last time he was on the Commission. What the City Mananger wants, Right Cheek will give him.

Cheek's a Maverick who does his own thing without thinking how it affects the big picture. Myron did make a lot of enemies. Tomika will be a Dan Eldridge flunky. I like Bolus. Brock will just be another school board lightweight like Duffie Jones. We need more candidates like Frank Bolus

If you feel that Jennie Brock will be a lightweight, you have another think coming and you obviously do not know her. She looks at things critically, voices her thoughts well, offers alternate approaches and -- unlike many who have great ideas -- has demonstrated that she can bring those ideas to fruition.

It seems like the same people keep running for different local political offices. We need some new blood running our community. Brock has been on the school board, a lot of other city boards and now wants a go at city commission. Cheek has had his turn as well. Tomita is already on the county commission, but that isn't enough and wants on the city commission too. I think Myron simply wants to retire on the commission because I don't guess she has anything better to do. Her hobby is politics. We need a different batch of leaders.

None of the Commissioners have a clue as to what is going on at the City. If they did, they would "reorganize" the administration. Out with the old and in with the new. The "old" guard has been a failure.

No matter who is elected, it will be the same old shuck and jive. These "leaders" are out for themselves and the businessmen they are in cahoots with. I guarantee every move they make will be for their own benefit. Why else would they want to be in a position? Don't piss on my leg and tell me it is raining and that they do it for the good of the citizens.

Cheek's article today reminded me why I like him. Instead of living off the State because he's crippled, he made something of himself. Sometimes I forget he's crippled and has done more than a lot of normal people have. I will vote for Bolus and him.

Cheek looked appealing enough, but then I noted that his name was in the Charges Placed section for Driving on a Revoked License. Anyone have any information on that?

Vote against anyone who voted for the Memorial Park Community Center. $15 million dollars for a senior center that non-seniors have limited access to because the seniors run the place.

Pffft, old Vance's kid! The old man was thick into local politics and set the kid up well. That's the way it works. The silver spoon in the mouth syndrome. He's a lawyer! Whooptey-do! Doesn't that tell you something?

According to Missy Pyle, he got busted for an old speeding ticket in Knoxville but got his license back. I wonder if he pulled the Jane Myron "Don't you know who I am!" bit? I'm still going to vote for him and Frank.

It's never to early. That's the problem here. People wait until the last second and say, we'll, they look good now. Whatever, vote for someone that has the interest of the City at the forefront. I will vote for the person that is gonna support the PD and FD. And if they decide to cancel the current City Managers contract, I'll walk the streets for them

(anyone who thinks the senior center runs the place does not know what is going on there. The Park & Rec. staff runs it. The Senior Center don't have keys to the building or their offices. It's obvious this poster has no clue!

We need to clean house, Myron and the city manager got to go if you want things straightened. By the way he's been campaigning behind the scene for Myron. Enough said.

1. It says Senior Center on the side of the building.
2. Seniors have full access the the entire building.
3. Non-seniors have limited access to the building.
4. Parts of the building are designated as seniors only.
5. The seniors tie up two basketball courts all day.

Having keys to the building just means you are there to let the seniors in.

Totally agree!!! Clean house and start anew. Dies anyone else question why there aren't any voting districts with representation? Why are all seats at-large? That's where the change needs to start. Get that loser city manager out!!!!
