Hammond needs to remember in spite of who he is related to and knows he is not bigger than federal govt. Cafeteria managers know the federal guidelines which state no outside thanksgiving dinners. this was to protect kids but Hammond wand his cohorts on board overturned staff decisions. Hammond is too worried about social events and Christian rights and needs to worry about to hear others concerns about food safety.

The disgruntled cafeteria manager needs to find better things to complain on here when she doesn't get her way.'Nuff said.

I have heard that this is the same cafeteria lady that takes food off of students trays when they don't have enough money and throws it into the trash.

As a parent of a 2 Fall Branch students I am ashamed our cafeteria manager would get on topix and blast a school board member. I hope Mr. Hammond calls her out on this.

First of all,you need to learn to spell before you head a topic! Second, Mr Hammond is one of the best things that has happened to Wash Co schools in a long time! "Social events"? Would say he could care less! Christian rights and the well being of our children? You better believe he is worried about it! He is a dear friend of mine and that is the reason he ran for school board. I would suggest you keep your opinions to yourself! You are are way out numberrd on this topic. Better yet, GET ANOTHER JOB!

What makes you think this is cafeteria manager? Hammond has taken on issue before that ruffle feathers. Not everyone shares his beliefs.

This youth pastor is happy to know Hammond is on the school board. His intent was not to "ruffle feathers" but to handle this and other matters brought to his attention. Board members were called through out the county over the dinners being called off last minute. Hammond has helped institute voluntary prayer time before school in some our city and county schools over the years. He has stood up for teachers and cares just as much for the bus drivers, custodians and cafeteria workers. He has been bashed by tea party simply because he wants older schools to have new floors and remodeled where neede. Now you are criticizing a man for wanting to keep traditon alive in our schools. I can't imagine bashing him for asking questions about so called USDA regulations unless you were one of the ones he questioned. THANK YOU MR. HAMMOND FOR LISTENING,RESPONDINDING, REACTING AND TREATING OUR KIDS AND TEACHERS LIKE HUMAN BEINGS. THANKS FOR YOUR HUMILITY AND STANDING ON THE CROSS.

I have been very impressed with Mr. Hammond's concern and care for Washington Schools. A group of teachers ask him to come to school to sort out all the freenzy going around/rumours/hurt feelings/large group teachers leaving and any other subject we wished to talk about. He was such a nice Christian man, he listened to our concerns about the evaluation progress and many other matters. He was just a warm, sympathetic, educated, knowledgeable man. We thank him for visiting us. This man cares about the Washington County Schools and he has common sense!

That is so true! It sickens me how a "select few" have to try and ruin one of the best to serve on our school board! If they have a problem, then they need to call him I can assure them, their concerns will be addressed!

If this is true, this Person should find another job. Obviously, dealing with children is not a good environment for her to be working in!

Recent school board minutes show Hammond plowing away with tax dollars the board does not have. After the county commission said no to Fall Branch School roof replacement Hammond makes motion to replace it any way and the board voted to do so. Hammond thinks officers are needed in school. I agree this is needed and would be nice but taxpayers pay the price. Could the roof not have waited since commissioners thought so?

David Hammond is an excellent board member and I'm proud that he stands up for everyone. I bet if your children went to Fall Branch you would be in favor of a new roof too! Trust me the schools can never have enough officers to keep everyone safe. I'm glad to hear Brinkley push for more computers. It's refreshing to hear these requests as opposed to more money for mower men or for athletics. Keep up the good work Hammond and Brinkley!!!

I guess Fall Branch doesn't deserve a new roof. We should spend more money on Ridgeview. We pay taxes in Fall Branch too. Look at the difference in the facilities. The people in Fall Branch should have sued Wash. county years ago for the difference they have made compared to other schools in Wash. county.

I agree with you. Keep on trucking Dave and Bill work for all students not just the athletic fanatics. The older elementary schools need repairs. BCE and others need remodeling. Taxpayers want the board to spend the funds wisely. Keep the funds in the classroom where all benefit rather than a few.

Safety of students and staff should should come first before any ole ballfield in this county. Parents need to know that their children are safe and protected while they are in school. Thank you Dave and keep up the good work.

I do not think David Hammond can be accused of wasting money. Hammond may not always be in agreement with everyone but he does respect every ones opinion. He has proven he cares about the teachers, athletics and academics. But you cant argue the point he really cares about the kids.
