Um, if Ted Cruz was born with dual citizenship at the time of his birth, then he is indeed a natural born citizen.

Instead of trying to twist the law out of all intended purpose, and use tortured logic (like the 5 liberal justices of the Supreme Court do all the time), why not just step back and consider what is the original color of the law to start with?

The purpose of the law was to keep an imigrant from arriving off a boat, and running for President. If that were allowed, every European potentate of the 18th century would have simply sent their trusted henchmen to America to seize power by such means, and then have America cow-tow to the potentate that patroned them.

It was never intended to stop a child born with dual citizenship from doing it.

Ted Cruz would make an excellent bogus tv evangelist. He knows how to talk to susceptible marks and tell them what they want to hear. Soon he will be trying to fleece you for your money. Canadian currency accepted!

We have become a blind society of puppets. All we do is re-quote Fox News & Bill Maher and any other idiot nut job out there instead of forming our own opinions. Until we oust the GOP & the liberal tree huggers it is never going to be any different. If you go back 80 years in history & look at both parties you will see that they just ride the latest wave of media consumer BS. People do have the right to own a gun, they also have a right to go to the doctor when they are sick & not be left to die. We should support the MIddle Class & small business, for it is they who have carried our country since it's inception. Nothing is black & white. I am so tired of hearing from people I am pro-this & I am pro-that. We need to be pro-America & pro-people. We care more about pets than we do homeless people. We need new leadership, and neither party will suffice. All of the decisions that are being made benefit 4% of the population. Who is left to suffer & pay for it all??? The people who are in the middle. The 40 hr a week worker....that's who. Ted Cruz is no hero & neither is Obama! If they were this country wouldn't be in the shape it is in.

The 40 hour a week worker is a thing of the past. Full time is now considered 30 hours a week (per Obamacare), so many (soon all) businesses will go to 25 hours per week.

So they dont have to pay Obamacare fees, insurance, and penalty.

Ted Cruz stood up to fight this madness, even as he was stabbed in the back by his own party of "Republicans". They are trhe same sort of corporate sell outs that ruined the founder of the Tucker automobile company in the late 1940s, using governmental BS to destroy a man just because he was doing the right thing.

You did see the movie "Tucker", didnt you?

So, if you remember the crooked politicians in that movie, then you should be familiar with the republicans who stabbed Ted Cruz in the back, including our own Phil Roe, Senator Alexander, and corker of Tennessee.

Ted Cruz fought them all, and many Americans cheered him on. Why do you say he isnt a hero?

Because the crooked news media told you to think that way?

Dont tell me you are still brainwashed by that tired old 1970s garbage of "everybody is wrong" stuff.

In the real world, right is right, and wrong is wrong. Ad Ted Cruz stood up for what is right. To paraphrase Forrest Gumps mother,...right is, as right does.

And Ted did the right thing, even though he was in a nest of vipers when he had to do it.

Thats just how it is.

You have said it well and I agree 100%! Like you said, people seem to need to align with one side or the other, more or less "which crooks will be on my side?", and when it is all summed up we are their parasitic hosts. As for me, I have no loyalty to either side, since they are both out to enrich their own coffers. What are we to do now?

The law wad written precisely for that purpose. Let's step back a second and look at the color of the law. The law was written in order to disqualify any potential citzen with English loyalties. This would absolutely disqualify a person with "dual citizenship" Canada is a country that to this day is loyal to England.

Um, no. You are quite wrong about that, and trying to build a bridge out of tortured logic and spider webs.

Georege Washington had been a British subject, and even a service officer in the British armed forces. Ben Franklins son had been the Royal Governor of New Jersey, I think it was.

So your assertion that the color of the law was to disqualify anyone with English loyalties is incorrect, as just about everyone in the new USA had some ties to England in some form or another.

And Canada has been independent since about 1867, so whatever loyalties they have with the UK are no more than we ourselves have (NATO).

But the founding fathers didnt write the law with NATO in mind.

They just wrote it to keep foreign potentates from sending in "wringers" to take over.

A child born with dual citizenship is not a wringer. So while I dont find any grounds for your argument, at least you havent been rude , and I appreciate that. And I have also enjoyed talkng about the early days in American jurisprudence.

George Washington was qualified by being Natural born, thirty five years of age and last but not least fourteen years a resident. This is what qualified him.

Congress made a law that persons born before a certain year could still be considered a citizen, though they were born subjects of the British King, like the founding fathers, for example.

But this does not apply to Ted Cruz. He was born with dual citizenship at the time of his birth. Which is to say that he was a US citizen at the moment of his birth.

There is no birth issue here that would prevent him from running for President.

Those that oppose him as President, will just have to look for another way to get at him. There can be no traction had on the birth issue. There is no legal reason regarding his birth that would disqualify him.

He was a Canadian at birth. Disqualified at birth. No where in the constitution does it grant a person with citizenship to another country the right to be president. It does not matter he will never hear the gun go off in a presidential election. The people will never elect a Canadian as president.

Is that your best attempt at a rational argument?

A one-liner insult?

Im not surprised. I dont think I have ever seen more than a handful of liberals who can string a coherent statement of opinion together and span more than a paragraph.

And that based almost entirely on insults and profanity.

In other words, liberals lack the brains to say or think really smart things without having the liberal media there to spoon feed them.

Liberals cannot think for themselves.

Liberals cannot tell the difference between reality, and some knee-jerk "its for the children" appeal for more support for even more BS government policies.

(Policies to help corrupt liberal politicians, and have zero to do with helping kids)

The liberal voters never see the truth of that, because, complex or original thought is out of reach for most liberals.

Liberals are naive.

Liberals dont live in the real world.

And liberals are incapable of handling complex thought.

The concept of Freedom, or Critical thinking (thinking for themselves) is far out of reach for them.

And every one liner, insult, or lame argument that you liberal guys post, just proves these facts ever more clearly, to everyone but the liberals.

But the Liberals cant understand that, because, liberals are just not adequate in the brains department.

Correct, your most recent remark is neither an argument, nor a debate. It is just a mindless insult of no importance.

It only represents a burp of the nauseating contents of the liberal mindset.

And it showcases the careless disregard of liberals towards all things important.

Thus the unthinking support for odious socialism and wicked agendas by such unthinking liberal attitudes, is readily explained.

Your observation has no legs.

Im not arguing as to whether or not I am an idiot. I may well be?

But if you cannot show some sort of rational argument to that effect, then what does that make you?

Im trying to sharpen you liberals up just a mite, and that is for two main reasons.

1...Us Tea Party guys need you democrats help us in the next elections, to unseat some of the entrenched Republicans do-nothings from their seats.

Its very hard to unseast guys like Mitch McConnel, or Alexander or McCain. Oh sure, well will challenge them in the primaries, but we dont have the political power (and bug $$$ supporters) to get enough of them voted out.

So, we will need your help to do it.

Reason 2...Frankly, you guys are suffering a total credibility crisis. Obamacare aint working, and more and more of Obamas lies are falling apart. Public opinion is starting to catch up to that, which will only tend to add the power to the very GOP guys that we want voted out.

So, you guys are going to have to tighten up your grassroots support act, if we are going to get any where in voting out some of the GOP idiots.

The problem is, your grass roots support by liberal posters on sites like this, is really childish and amateurish. You rely too much on stale talking points and rehearsed party lines that have been debunked already, and the never ending "one-liners" and insults, which only turn people off.

So, if your going to be of any use to either the democrat party, or the Tea Party, then your going to need some training in eloquism.

So, just look at me as your trainer, so to speak.

So, now, go back and form a rational argument which demonstrates that I am an idiot.

And dont try to sensationalize thing overmuch. That is the first resort of failed journalist.

Just stick to the bare bones, matter of fact data and logic.

So, off you go now. Make a rational argument which conclusively proves that I am, at least, wrong about something.

And remember, two political partiesare counting on you. If you fail to meet the mark, then your putting GOP politicians back into office in the next elections.

Good luck, and good hunting! ;)
