Proof when tough decisions need to be made Van Huss took a stand for citizens rights while Stout proved politics over people by tucking his tail in and running. Micah Van Huss showed real leadership and Stout lack of leadership. Vote Van Huss for the people.
I will not vote for this man he will have the death of hundreds of innocent people on his hands when the people of Tennessee start playing "the wild west" when thus ridiculous open carry law is passed. We have numerous assaults, road rage incidences, random fights all over the Tricities on a daily basis. Now throw guns into the middle of this uncontrollable anger and see what happens.

Only partially true. Criminals/outlaws have weapons with disregard. Why not give the law abiding citizen the right to defend. I predict in the end crime would go down. Thugs might start thing twice.

Anybody who supports worthless, completely unconstitutional waste of time bills regarding keeping federal drones out of TN airspace is misguided. It is such a waste of time and resources to do things like this when there are a thousand other productive things he can be pursuing.

He made up for it by the annexation laws. Stout is a Pete Peterson P#€€y who would never stand up like Van Huss did.

If you carrying a gun makes you feel safe and secure than so be it. People who have hand gun carry permits have mandatory training and qualification. Now Joe Blow will be carrying any gun he chooses fit without any "regulation." If this is what you want than so be it. I will be at Mahoney's arming myself too. Potentially everybody you will encounter could possibly have a gun. If you want the wild wild west here it is.

One thing you have to say VanHuss isn't afraid to take a stand unlike Clayton "NO BALLS" Stout who abstained on annexation issue because of his race for state house. Wimp!
Ron Ramsey and Matthew Hill hand delivered Van Huss that Annexation Bill to ensure his reelection. No freshman Rep is ever given such an important piece of law to carry. They served it up on a platter so Van Huss would be a lock with County Voters.

Clayton they do not assign bills. Legislators bring concerns to Nashville.

There are 11 other states that already have this including Virgina. Hell even California has some form of open carry. So can you please give stats as to how this increased shooting and so on as you claim, otherwise sit down and stay irrelevant.

Apparently you were sleeping during all of your American government classes. The short explanation is, a legislator has an idea, he makes a bill, he then turns bill in, it goes to committees sub committees and so on and then if it makes it out, it gets voted on. Please if you dont know what you are talking about, try googling at least before opening your mouth. You sound like an idiot other wise.

Your comments a irrelevent. The fine people of Tennessee stood up and stopped your bill. With your irresponsible bill a man could dress up in combat fatigues and go in toys r us carrying an assault rifle. The police would not have any reasonable suspicion to believe a crime is about to take place because the person would be completely legal. The police could be sued under these circumstances for illegal search and seizure. If this is the world you want move to the Sudan.

#1 The Constitution already gives me the right to carry a gun wherever I wish. The state government is denying that right by not allowing open carry. Secondly, a business can post "no gun" signs which are aimed to prevent someone from (legally) carrying a weapon into their business. Even if open carry is allowed, a business still has the right to say you can't bring it into my store.

#2 Studies show that when guns increase, crime goes down. Your liberal fear is simply misguided.

I am voting for Stout! We already have a concealed carry law and guess what? If you can carry concealed with a permit, you can open carry as well! It was a feel good law we don't need! I don't like open carry, though. It makes people nervous when they see guns on the hips of strangers. Why do you feel the need to show it off?

Vote Stout. Stout will vote to change annexations law back to the way it was before. Stout proved no balls when he abstained from voting in an annexation issue earlier this year.

Van Huss gets my vote. He is man enough to vote yes or no. If you abstain you should give a reason why.

I'm not much into local politics but anyone with half a marble for a brain can tell the JC Press (and the rest of the city administration) has it out for him and Hill. The annexation issue must really scare them. They want to keep growing the tax base and since the people they intended to annex don't vote for them it was up to the legislature to provide some choice. They did and now the good old boys and girls want the ball back. The Eldridge party was a coming together of like minds. "We gotta stop these boys. They're too uppity. We've always done things the way we want around here. Right Lamar?" "Uh? yea sure.. you're gonna get the vote out for me aren't you?"
