Why is this not a big deal to all Americans? He is taking up for a country that violates human rights. He had better not criticize Americas past treatment of anyone while he is friends with this dictator. Rodman is a traitor in my opinion.

Criticizing America while safely ensconced behind its freedom has become a cottage industry for liberals. One wonders how well Jane Fonda would have fared in Veitnam, or God forbid, Cambodia, without U.S. celebrity. I haven't heard Rodman make any comments criticizing the U.S. of America. In case you haven't noticed he's not a terribly bright guy so what HE does in N Korea hardly matters. If the State Department allows him to travel there then he can go.

Interesting you assume he's a liberal which in itself isn't a negative term no matter how some people try to use it as such. It's actually a term Reagan used to describe himself. You might pay more attention when you're watching Fox news and watch how your country is being slammed by your conservative heroes.

Criticizing America? You should listen to Fox News and Rush Limbaugh and talk radio in general and hear what they say about our American President. As for Rodman; I sincerely doubt he has been given any tours of North Korea's death/work camps. I believe his actions are disgraceful. I also believe it is disgraceful that talk radio and Fox News misinform people, and worse that people actually believe them. It is however called Freedom.

Dennis Rodman? Gimme a break! He has about as much celebrity appeal and represents Americans about as much as Charles Manson. I'll bet the N.Koreans are learning how to make N****** jokes behind his back!

Given the fact that I question Rodman's decisions regarding NK, should he, as an American, not have the right to go against the norm? He is free to his opinions and to come and go as he pleases. As long as he isn't passing vital security info, which I seriously doubt he has any, what is the problem? The United States has supported countries that violated human rights and many dictators who were brutal in their tactics maintaining power when it was to our benefit. Or should his freedom only be to the extent that you think he should be free?

Go for the lay up Dennis. No body has shown the ability to pass the "olive branch.
America sent over 1200 young men and women to die in Iraq. Today there is a war there and the fighting is for the same reasons. War is not the answer. Bush and Cheney should have sent The Rodman!

Are you people crazy? Dennis Rodman as a bright ambassador of light or a man of integrity? That idiot couldn't make change for 9 dollars without 3 bills of the same denomination. Face the facts, the man is about as intellectual and knowledgeable as a cake of soap. What a last ditch effort to be back in the spot life! Might as well send Carol Channing with her sissy dancers. The jig is up, Rodman.

Who has made a claim that rodman is any of those things? He was a great baller, hall of fame inductee. Haven't heard anyone claim that he was anything else.

He is the typical hero of young black kids thinking they can become famous by playing b-ball and running that damn mouth.
That stuff has become redundant. Nobody believes in that shit anymore. He's only a joker, with no real chance of revitalized publicity. I consider him no more than a cross dressing redneck black man. You claim he was a baller and a semi famous player. Why can't he just retire from that and fade away? His fuse has burned out, thank goodness.

Rodman has turned into a freak just like Michael Jackson did. Jackson liked little kids and Rodman likes little Koreans.

You are out of touch if you think rodman is anyone's hero. He has become more of a novelty. And I don't claim that he was a great player. That is proven. One of the best defenders the nba has ever seen. The greatest rebounder. And five nba championship rings. He was a great player. Now, that being said, he is also one of the most controversial players. Not one of my favorite players, but still not as disliked as Bill Laimbeer. Now there was a dirty player. As for the trash talking, people forget that Larry Bird and Jordan were much worse than Rodman.

Rodman has serious mental issues! You can also tell he is highly stoned off alot of drugs! His friends that were with him in the interview looked very scared and ashamed of how Rodman was acting. Also the fact they all seem to dumb to realize they can all be killed at any second and nobody can do crap about it! Rodman was a NBA star now he's a washed up drug Addict who has embaressed America and Himself!!

Rodman is just an entertainer. The North Korean tyrant is unstable and an ambassador or someone with a history in political arenas would best represent America. This is not a stable country either. Obama loves his basketball too but he should not allow an American citizen to go to an enemy country and act like it is another vacation. Obama is just a talking head who allows others to do his job for him. I could site many examples but this is about Rodman being a traitor. Could you imagine the backlash if Bush was in office and Joe Namath (a white man) wanted to cuddle up to Sadaam Husein? You are the moron.

You've been watching too much Faux news...North and South Korea are technically still at war and we are an ally of the South. For that reason, we don't have diplomatic relations with the North and therefore wouldn't send an ambassador or anyone else there (certainly not the President). Seems you've just found another outlet to rant against a President you obviously don't like but there's plenty of legitimate gripes without blaming him for this! Please educate yourself before commenting further...thank you.
