I'm sure most everyone is aware of what unfolded yesterday and today in Watertown, MA. The bombings a few days ago were horrible and tragic, and the locking down of a major US metropolitan city for a man hunt is rare to say the least. Luckily one suspect is now dead and the other is in custody.

Today for almost 3 hours video flooded TV with live footage of cops standing around lining a residential street while "reporters" who had minimal facts dragged out, sensationalized, and dramatized the events as if the situation really needed more fuel heaped on an already highly volatile and emotional situation.

Here's what they knew for fact at that time -
A person was discovered in a tarped winterized boat parked in a backyard of a house. Shots were heard in the area and the identity of the person in the boat was at that time unknown. All of 2 minutes of reportable news information.
The other almost 2 hours and 58 minutes were filled with speculation, conjecture, and the telling of what they didn't know.
So in summary, American news coverage is 98% bullshit and 2% fact based information.
Why is the media more concerned with making and being the news instead of just reporting it and then shutting the hell up so people can form their own opinions based on the facts? It's fk'n pathetic.

I agree with you 110%... I haven't watched the first minute of news coverage about the whole situation.

My theory is this, the media has become a product of its viewers, there are people willing to sit around a television for hours watching them report this 98% bullish/it so they provide it for them. Then from there, social media is clogged with knee jerk reactions, and people who were against such government tyranny as drone strikes on American citizens and indefinite detention start posting ridiculous statements about how we should go ahead and kill them and save the tax payers the money of a trial.

It's a cycle I've come to resent as of late. I feel terrible for the people caught up in these terrible tragedies, but my god, the media has a way of making me just totally sick of hearing about it because of the sensationalism and the onslaught of these media made heroes.

Here's another gripe, ever notice that months later when parts of the truth the general population is deemed responsible enough to be told about come out, they totally contradict what we were originally told. How do we even know what to believe anymore?

Well Puffy since you haven't watched lemme give you a small recap of what actually happened verses what the media and cops said happened.

Voice from police scanner..."WE got him, suspect in custody".
Media goes crazy patting cops on the back and tells us how proud we should be of the boys in blue.

Now, here's the reality of what happened.-
The cops locked down an entire town and conducted a "house to house search". They FAILED to find the suspect.
After residents are allowed out of their homes a HOME OWNER discovers a rip in the tarp on his boat. Upon investigating said tear he finds a bloody mess in the boat as well as quite a bit of blood on the boat's trailer and a small ladder leaning on the boat. All of which the police MISSED in their thorough door to door search.
The HOME OWNER calls the police to tell them what HE had found.
Oh, I guess I should mention this person's home and boat were located just a bit more than 500 feet away from the abandoned vehicle the suspect and his brother had car-jacked earlier.
After the homeowner called the police and told them what HE found the cops moved in and confirmed there was a person in the boat, who was later captured and arrested.

So, to summarize, the cops missed a bloody mess and tell tale signs of something askew less than 600 feet from the abandoned vehicle of the suspects they were looking for while having an entire town in lock down.
The media chose not to question how the police missed such obvious evidence and instead had to rely on a homeowner to provide them with the suspects location. Instead they chose to show pictures of police bringing milk to families stuck indoors and portray them as brilliant heroes.

My point isn't so much to knock the cops as it is to show the bullshit and biased crap the media spoon feeds the masses.

They seem to "create" news now. It gets harder and harder to decipher fact from fiction to the point that a lot of us don't believe anything they say at all. To the people on here who hate conspiracy theories, they can thank the media for them.

You said it well, Puff. Now, I'm going to go off on a pet peeve of mine, that being the constant pro-homosexual agenda being touted by the media. Seriously, humanity has despised the homosexual for ages and with good reason. I won't go into detail, else I'll be hissed at by the spoon fed bleeding hearts who may have good intentions but are being blindsided. The media is hell bent on trying to convince us that it is all acceptable and try to make us feel guilty for opposing it. Who do you think is behind all this?(pun intended)

God forbid someone say anything in regards to being uncomfortable about homosexuality. Kinda like the guy on here asking what areas in the tri cities are best to move to if you don't wanna be around blacks or gays. If this guy is uncomfortable around them I think he's doing the wise thing by trying to stay away from them and leaving them alone. I guess the people who verbally assaulted him on here would be happier if he moved next door to them and felt like a prisoner in his own home and eventually had an altercation with them. I wonder how many of them that attacked him have gone out of their way to be surrounded by blacks and gays? I'm betting only the blacks and gays have because people seem to be more comfortable around other people they have something in common with. These goofy progressives run around calling everybody bigots but I'll bet you they subconsciously practice segregation and don't even know it, we all do, we all wanna be around "our own kind" so to speak. This doesn't make you a racist bigot, it just means you're human and you're not lying to yourself.

The news media are no longer neutral reporters and journalist.

They are knowing participants in the political "culture war" that is unfolding across the nation.

They are willing participants who knowingly spin, lie, and suppress the news according to political goals.

They seek not to educate the people, but to control them.

So, I consider the mainstream liberal media to be completely untrustworthy. Viewers should take note to automatically tend to disbelieve everything they hear on the news.

Automatic suspicion is advised. They are not on our side.

You would need to include all media outlets, not just the traditionally liberal news. Conservative programming is just as biased. The news now is for people to tune in to what they want to hear, not actual news. If you are conservative leanings, you'll tune in to Fox News. If you are liberal biased, it's MSNBC. Real news reporting is pretty much dead.

Quite true. I cannot disagree with your assessment.

But they do cover the most important of issues though. Like this one...

We may not get any real news on the things that are going on behind the scenes (because no real investigative journalism takes place any more).

As with the news clip we just watched, for example. If this story is worth even talking about on a news cast, then shouldnt somebody be investigating it in depth?

You would think. Everything now is really just headline reporting. Now actual reporting. No more Woodward and Bernstien. I would like to see and enhanced photo of the phone. I mean, if we could see the model we would know what time period to look for the individual in. It's diffinately not someone from the 80's. lol

I want to know who the service provider is, any company whose service can traverse the depths of time has got to have an awesome coverage area.

As usual, Puff, you hit the nail right on the head! Too much whining leads to too much being unilateral on views. I agree with you 100%!

The video posted above by hillbillyboy references a "news" a story about time travel and shows footage from an old old movie with a lady using what very loosely resembles a cell phone.
Hence my comical comment about a service provider having coverage that spans time must have awesome coverage in this time.

I think the American news media is trying to emulate their heros in Europe in the race to the botom.

And truthfully, as bad as American news media is, the BBC is far worse.

I am thinking of the BBC as public enemy number one here.

They are openly, militantly political and militant atheistic and leftist extremist. The BBC is quite shameless and brazen about it too.

Everything they put on the air is openly and shamelessly propagandized.

And the US media is getting to be just like them.

I give no credibility to any of them.

The evolution debacle is a good case in point. Evolution has been scientifically debunked and disproven in so many ways that it is laughable.

By scientist themselves.

Like this...

But the liberal news media refuses to tell the people the truth about it. It is never covered, and the lie is perpetuated.

Remember "Lucy", the supposed "missing link" that proved evolution? The remains were all shouted from the rooftops by the media for decades as being proof of human evolution?

Well, scientist have themselves admited that "Lucy" isnt proof of human evolution after all. In fact, she isnt even part of the "human family".

The scientist say this...

http://www.uncommondescent.com/intelligent-de...

But the BBC deliberately lies about it (as per usual) and says this...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sn/prehistoric_life/huma...

Notice how the BBC deliberately suppresses the scientist, and continues to spin and hype "Lucy" as evidence for evolution, even after scientist have debunked it?

See how they refuse to cover, or even acknowledge the scientist (real ones) who have admitted that Lucy is not proof of human evolution?

TThis is the great "PC conspiracy" of socialist, atheist, radical letist, and all the usual suspects and cabals that would turn our peoples hearts away from God and lead us into the captivity of strange doctrines and removal of personal freedoms.

That is the occult ties of the mass media a d the halls of power.

That is why the media is not telling us the truth, and will not tell the truth about anything.

The truth will set us free, and that is the very last thing that the media and their leftist and occultic masters would have.
