I've heard around the Pickens Bridge road area. A lot of farm land out there ya know.

Wow, that would not be a good area for a huge school in my opinion. That's still really close to city limits. I thought they said they were looking to stay away from possible JC annexation???

Which board member or county commissioner has property they want to unload on the school system? That will probably be the deciding factor for the location for this new school! While we're at it why not build a new k-8 school at Jonesborough to replace those two? Same awful round school and old middle school! Are we less deserving?

commissioners and board members don't possess enough land for a big school to be built on. Usually the reason a person runs for commissioner positions is for the free health insurance and the extra income and to get favors from others. They usually don't care very much for the betterment of the community. They just want the freebies

Oak Grove doesn't have any open land areas for a school. They will likely go down Pickens Bridge or Carroll Creek and take good agriculture land from Carters or Crouchs would be my guess.

They are in awful shape and both should be replaced! I wish Jonesborough had a board member fighting for a new school. Who do we have Mary Lo Silvers? Yeah we're screwed!

Bobby Hicks Highway is Gray...why would they put 2 former Boones Creek schools in that area?? And besides that, Bobby Hicks highway area is where JC is going to annex eventually. Yea, Oak Grove doesn't have open land area to build something of that enormous size. Seems like the elementary round schools could be renovated pretty quick and less expensive since they don't even have walls inside to contend with. Geez!

I just heard from a reliable source that it would still be years before they decided on this new school thing and even more years for them to start building and complete it. Hopefully that is true.
