She treats the girls like cattle. Its supposed to be fun but not with her. She thinks she is Sue Sylvester (Glee). I thought a person at least should have a teaching certificate to coach cheerleading but I guess when you are related to the athletic director (Danny Good) it doesnt count. And Im not a disgruntled parent whose girl didnt make it. Acutally my niece did make it but hates Julie, as do most of the girls. Cheerleading is supposed to be fun. Julie takes all the fun out of it.

I have seen first hand the positive effect Julie Johnson has had on the Daniel Boone Cheerleaders... She may be strict but this squad is in the best shape it has been in since Mrs. Nelson was in charge. I do know that there is a family tie between Julie Johnson & Danny Good but I don't think this has anything to do with her being over the cheerleaders. I agree that the coaches should have some sort of teaching certification but thats just not how it works now. There is a students parents at Gray school that are over the boys basketball team... do they have certification? NO! Did their 6th grade son along with many of his friends make the team? YES! Which in turn knocked several 8th graders out of playing. Its not fair how the extra cirricular activites are coached by the parents and not someone affiliated with the school! Something does need to be done about this. You think once your kids get into school ball that all the "daddy" ball will come to an end- well its not so! I think its great parents want to be involved but what ever happened to Booster Club?

Julie may have had a positive effect on Daniel Boone HS but when her own cheerleaders want to quit because of her, its time to get rid of her. Cheerleading should be a fun and wonderful experience for those involved, but with Julie in charge the girls dread every time they have to practice. When girls, who have always wanted to and loved cheerleading, suddenly want to stop because of the coach, its time to get a new one. After all its all about the kids, not some egotistical drill sergeant.

Okay let me get this right.... you don't have a child that didn't make the cut so what is your problem with Mrs. Johnson? Sounds to me like you have some sort of personal vendetta against her! Don't you have some other issue to rant and rave about "theater guy"? Oh I know this must be some sort of underlying issue you've had since highschool... You must have never made cheer squad.

Have you noticed David Crockett and feeder schools have few problems concerning athletics. The competent, moral, ethical Athletic Director Josh Kyte is well respected and puts the best interest of the schools first. Josh Kyte was hired in a moral manner. Kyte was not the first choice of the foul mouthed boardmember Keith Ervin or the hypocritical Chad Williams. Williams talks a good game but his walk says something else. Thank goodness for solid stand up for whats right men like Jack Leonard. He is worried more about the kids then re-election.

Ok well let's put it this way. Julie Johnson has made a wonderful effect on the squad. Two years ago they had a coach who wasn't even there. The cheerleaders just do it for the skirts when some of the cheerleaders actually take it serious. They need Julie to be that struck when two years ago when she was not part of it they had cheerleaders come to games high and drunk so Julie is a blessing. And she is not the only coach it's christy Wilson and she is affiliated with the school. And the whole reason girls have quit had nothing to do with the coaches that matter was not under their descretion. Or Danny goods he is an amazing athletic director and yes they are related but big deal that doesn't do crap christy calls the shots not Julie. So grow a pair and deal. You know also that she is mean cause they need discipline bad because the drama comes from parents like you who do this stuff and butt in to everything your daughters and or nieces are in highscoop they can take care of themselves and they cause stupid nit picking drama. So cut the crap get off his stupid website grow a pair take yourself in person to Julie christy Danny and Ron dykes and tell them how you feel. Grow some and show your face. Lord knows I will. And you'd be surprised to see me.

I bet you are the cheer mom suckup everyone speaks of.

I will show my face if you all would. I'm not afraid to stick up for whom and what I believe in. This is rdiculous stop blaming coaches and administrators or athletic directors it's stupid. I will say this my daughter wasn't always treated fairly but they self with it. I am no part of her cheerleading decisions or the coaches I don't know them very well. So stop making unbackable accusations.

Grade point average requirement was also lowered.

Oh and Uh are you even a cheer parent? Boone on this should comment unless they are a cheer PARENT. You don't know what is going on.

I know for a fact that the reasoning of the GPA being taken away. Was because of Ron dykes not the coaches. but please tell me when have football players ever truly had to have a GPA it may say they have to have one but I know a bunch who never meet the standards a couple are even starters so don't start that.

You have a point but read my last post and cheerleaders are not ruled under rasas so until this year when Ron dykes took the GPA away they had to have a 3.0 that is higher than what all other sports had to have.
