I have never tried it but my bug man says the key is to spray in the right places not just run along the baseboard. I have had some not even look where they were spraying. He also said the chemicals aren't as good. I wouldn't be surprised if some don't go to home depot to buy chemical.

If you will go to the groc. store & buy the Bengal brand pesticide/insecticide,you would be using a lot better chemical. The watered down stuff the companies use just make the bugs hide.

I have never had roaches before but my husband and I bought a house and found dead ones in it.. We bombed and sprayed and thought we would be ok but we did see a few here and then but then a next door neighbor moved out and BOOM they have gotten bad.. Who do I call or what is the best to do? I have never had this problem before it's disgusting.

Buy a can of Bengal.Spray around & under fridge, stove, dishwasher,& under sink.In bathroom, spray where water pipes come in.You will be doing a lot better job than the companies do.All the pest control co. do is spray their watered down chem. around the baseboards & call it preventive maintenance. All they do is spray enough chem.around so you can smell it & think they have done something. They want to do it as fast as they can so they can get to their next house & next dollar.more houses=more money.I'm retired now but I worked for the major companies for 30 yrs.Do you think they are going to kill your bugs & spray their selves out of a job.Think about it.Do it yourself.

Any good that Barnes has done is due to his wife. He lies. I caught him flat out lyeing and he does what it takes to line his pockets. My neice recentley worked there and if you heard even a little about how he treats his employees and shortcuts he takes to save money, you wouldn't let none of them on the property. He is not even close to the fine, christian man he leads people to believe. The man that was his termite superviser were constantely pulling his behind out of trouble for lying to customers, worked the past two years (which was the ones he got pc company of year) needing to have cancer in his throat removed and the reason he is gone is because Scott Barnes wanted to put someone in cheaper that would listen when he tells them to save chemical and cheat customers. Chris Carrier is only trustworthy person in the place now. The others are scared too death of loosing their jobs. He barely pays them enough to make it to work. He is lucky his wife is so nice, karma will bite him one day. The man had his own mama put behind bars two times, what does that say?
my father, scott barnes, is the greatest man I've ever known and I look up to him. He does everything he can for people and the community. I know that he also does alot for his employees that most employers would not. I don't appreciate the fact you talk about my family. As for putting his own mama in jail, that never happened. That's my Mamaw and she actually came over to the house yesterday. So get the facts straight before you talk about someone please

Not sure what idiot started this post. It is so easy to slam someone from behind a computer.
Fact: Barnes Exterminating has been in business for over 25 years. If Barnes Exterminating did not do good work the business would still not be around. East Tennesseans are smart and realize a good business.

Fact: Most of his employees are long term.

Fact: Having been actively involved in the schools my children attend I have seen first hand how Scott Barnes has helped the schools. Barnes has helped many children financially from uniforms to those who may have not been able to go on field trips.

Fact: The Barnes family through the Gray Community Chest has helped hundreds of needy families.

Instead of slamming this man either out of jealousy or some personal vendetta why don't you get off your cowardly ass and use your time more wisely volunteering or giving financial assistance to someone. Scott Barnes has not lost business or sleep nor has he slowed down his community service because these bogus claims.

Fact: SCOTT BARNES HAS SERVED THIS AREA WELL AS A BUSINESSMAN AND COMMUNITY LEADER.

Byron it is great u look up 2 ur dad. I hope u understand that the basis of this topic boils down 2 simple economics. Money is usually the first thing that destroys relationships. Men like Ur father that has a business with the same employees for years develop relationships with some employees and customers that r a lot like marriages. I really think that some of these comments r frm bitter people that lost out n the "marriage". Employees that wanted to be handed a big check without working 4 it r likely the culprits of bitter gossip. Customers that r bitter likely don't like being "held" to something they have 2 pay and don't realize some of the "pity me " gossip they hear on routes insure the employees a pay check. You need 2 understand some of these employees may no longer work there but they will b the 1st 2 tell u during serious crisis ur family was the only help they had. Ur dad is very aware of the difference between deadbeats and people that do what Is necessary 2 survive the economics of this time. He has built families over the years and times r hard. Some people don't understand, u Just remember u have 2 develop thick skin when u live on top

I don't know anything about Barnes but I also work in the PC industry. Honestly I have never seen more customers trying to get something for nothing as I have in this business. Not all are like that mind you but there are a LOT that are.

DO NOT use this company!!!! They lie, lie, lie!!!! The only person that knows what is going on is the manager!!! I had trouble after trouble with them, not finding termites, then not checking the ground stations for months at a time. They would swear they checked them but I know for a fact they did not. Half were covered up! When they wanted money, somebody listened. They sent a termite supervisor out and he inspected, changed stations and done a good job. I made it clear that I would only stay if he took care of me and I have now found out that he is no longer there!! If anyone could point me to the company Dana went to, or to a dependable company, I would appreciate it much. I do not want to give another dime to this company.
there are some great empolyees at barnes, robert bailey and cory cowen are 100 times better than dana slagle

Former employee says that they quit because as industry got worse and business dropped he absolutely was told to water down stuff and to sell stuff not needed. Most places do it though. A good tech won't do it and some of Barnes employees won't. I used to use them two years ago and the two termite guys were always good. I can't remember their names. One real tall with a beard and dark hair and a short bald one.

I started usi g them in June
They are friendly, fast, and affordable
Maybe I like them so much because they are all about customer service... Which is why I can tell that most of these comments r not from customers. Probably the competitor businesses slamming these guys bc they don't want to work for their reputations

If you have any animals they need to be on preventative medication (from the vet). This will interupt the flea life cycle so the fleas that lay eggs won't hatch. Spray will only kill the fleas and not the eggs. It is very hard to get rid of a flea infestation. They get in your furniture, bedding, and even stuffed animals and lay eggs. Good Luck!

Parents have been using Barnes Exterminating since 1990. They faithfully collect their fees. But over the years there has been termite damage to their home. They kept paying, and now there is massive termite damage and active termites in their home again. So for 27 years they have faithfully sprayed the house and when the damage is done. You hear crickets. Yes they have a policy to cover damage repairs, but you would expect that if it was treated then you would not need such a policy. I would say you get what you pay for but they did not even get that. Save your money and possibly stop the termites by buying a can of spray at Lowes or Home Depot. You will have just as good of coverage and proof of termite protection.
