Ramsey is just brilliant, ain't he. He's your Lt Governor of Tennessee. He is an NRA puppet and you people bought his BS hook, line and you're sunk.

Points
1) most major employers don't want guns anywhere on their property, especially foreign (Volkswagon and Toyota)
2) Tn is a right to work/right to fire your ass for NO REASON AT ALL
3) Ramsey's best friend is Diane Black , her husband stands to make $million$ own the drug testing when you need unemployment, which by the way, he wants to limit to 12 weeks.

S if your employer even suspects that you have a gun, rumor, innuendo, gossip, a supervisor who doesn't like you, doesn't matter. You get fired. They don't have to say it was because of a gun, he'll, they can say it WAS because of the gun. Doesn't matter. You're fired. You didn't do anything illegal. No problem. Just go home without any knowledge of why you were fired. You voted for Ramsey and he doesn't think a working person has any right to know why they were fired. Now he wants guns at the workplace. So, you get fired, drug tested and then refused unemployment and in some rare case that you do, you only get 12 weeks. Now being unemployed will give you lots of time to work of your target practice or fix that old carburetor you've been working on. You didn't do anything illegal. Nothing to be ashamed of. Of course, Ramsey will be pointing at you when he's talking about the lazy unemployed drug abusing losers who are ruining the nation. But who cares. The carburetor works.

I agree with you ramseyhitler.
BTW> Right to work means you have no rights! The Southern Red State people need to stop electing these idiots that do not care about the people of their communities. The GOP has become a joke and their crazy azz statements are laughed at around the world. Yes, the republican/tea party is mocked and made fun of everywhere...not just in the USA.
Cut taxes for the wealthy and benefits for the poor that is motto of the Republican/tea party. WAKE UP Red States

Explain it to me. I might be a redneck but I am as educated as you and can counter every argument you can make for your socialist loving party with real facts. Go ahead, lets hear it. Open your mouth and make a bigger fool of yourself.

Raising the minimum wage does way more then cause inflation. To equal out the cost of operations people get laid off for starters. Next problem occurs when people with no experience enter the job market, they'd more then likely get hired if the minimum wage was lower, but employers don't wanna fork out $9 an hour for somebody that has no idea what they're doing, so unemployment rises. Here's another problem I experienced first hand at my first job. The minimum wage was $4.75 and was my starting wage. A few months later, the minimum wage was raised to $5.15.. For the other people that started out at $4.75 and worked their way up to $5 or $5.25 after a year or so it was a slap in their face. Their were now people hiring on with no experience making the same or .10 -.15 cents less. It caused moral to go south QUICK.. Every time the minimum wage goes up, the cost of living is soon to follow, it has to, when it starts costing companies more in labor to produce a product they in turn pass the increase on to their customers..

Well said. I am all about higher wages but raising the min wage is not the place to start. Go get an education. Go learn a trade or some skills and quit complaining about not making any money when you are too lazy to breath. I pay my guys general labor guys more than triple the min wage starting out and its hard to find someone who is willing to show up every day, use their brain and do honest, hard work.

You strike me as an intelligent man so would like to throw this out there. I don't think a position making $7.50 and hour would be looked upon any different if the minimum wage were raised to $9..its still entry level work and the employer will fill it with the most qualified candidate he/she can find if the vacancy exists so I don't think unemployment would be affected. Companies don't hire people for the heck of it, they hire them because they need a job done. That need doesn't go away just because it might cost them $1.50 more an hour, they will just pass it on to the consumer. As far as the morale issue, that is probably going to just have to be the cost of progress unless they can figure out a way to work it into the legislation (assuming there is legislation at some point). Either way, inflation increases year after year and people cannot live on this meager wage so at some point it will be increased...its just a matter of time.

Can you imagine how long it would take a McDonalds employee to reach $9 an hour? Then how they'd feel working beside a new employee being hired on at the same wage?

Back when it happened at my first job after High School we all thought they should have given their seasoned employees a raise based on the percentage the minimum wage was raised. Thinking about that now, I think it would just raise company costs that much more and endanger jobs.. If you throw together this wage increase with the Affordable Care Act its a disaster waiting to happen. I'd rather see the cost of living lowered. I read a few weeks ago about the United States selling off oil rights to China. Why are we sending our oil rights to China and buying Middle Eastern oil instead? That's gotta be costing more, don't see how it couldn't. There's no reason for gas to be $4 a gallon except pure greed. Same with food, you can walk into a grocery store with $100 bill and not even fill up a grocery cart now unless you're addicted to Ramen noodles. Look at all the owner/operator truckers that went under when diesel sky rocketed. I saw it first hand in my family, they were forced to file bankruptcy and drive for a company. WWII pulled the country out of the Great Depression, I've read that this is the first time in history the United States has been in a war and stayed in a recession. Something is terribly wrong with that. Since I've been alive I can name 1 president I don't dislike and that's Reagan, and I'm sure if I researched him more I'd probably discover that he sucked too but at least the economy was kicking ass in the 80's for most people. It's a damn mess and out current leaders are just throwing fuel onto the fire..

As far as morale in the workplace, Congress cant fix that, but they can fix the minimum wage to update it to something a bit more realistic. It will be up to companies to implement it and keep their employee morale up but most of them wont care, just as they didn't care to pay them anything more than what was legally required. We will never see the cost of living lowered...not while companies are allowed to continue to rape the middle class for their own greed.

And since you brought up gas prices, the US is one of the top exporters (yes, EXPORTERS) of oil and gas in the world. Oil companies are raking in huge profits by exporting oil and getting higher prices overseas and by removing the oil from the US market also increases the price at home. Exxon made $45 billion in profits (not sales, PROFIT) last year and try to defend the rising price of gas on supply and demand. That's just horseshit as Exxon and other oil companies manipulate prices any way they can to gouge the American public and we continue to allow it.

I'll take a crack at this one, hot rod! Ad one who takes great interest in the recently arrested ???? You should at least take the time to look up some of the BIG BOY words that you try to use. Like "socialism" .. I know you hear lots of other stupid people say it, and I'm sure it sounds like a big word, and maybe you don't look so ignorant. But you should know, it really makes you look even worse.

Socialism would mean that we liberals would want to be sort of "all-inclusive". We don't. We want nothing to do with your kind whatsoever. We're it up to us "socialists" , the likes of you would be eradicated . Now there's two words you can look up tonight. Broaden your mind and grow up. You're an idiot and you don't even have to wear the Tshirt. Stupid enters the room before you do. A socialist wouldn't say all that to you, you little worm.

I honestly don't know what we can do about it. I've seen those don't buy gas on whatever day ideas to try and make a statement but how would that help? The day before you'd end up filling up your tank so there goes everybody to a gas station. Only solution I can even fathom would be for a more competitive market and a significant price war.

Your post makes no sense at all. I could devolve to your level but I dont have to. Your own words show what an idiot you are with no help from me. You liberals are ruining this country through your social welfare programs. Someone has to pay for all you stupid, lazy ass people to sit at home and draw a check and think up more was to screw the providers. Whats going to happen when the takers outnumber the givers? All your social plans are good on paper but fail miserably when put into action. You have to resort to name calling because your arguments are so weak and transparent that even us dumb hillbillies can see through them. If it was not for us dumb hillbillies you and your kind would have already starved to death. And by the way all of us right wing conservative gun nut hillbillies we be the ones to fix it all when your plans finally run the country into a depression on the scale the world has never seen. You did nothing in your post to make a valid argument for your views, you just made yourself look more stupid. State some facts. Make your argument without the name calling. Wait you dont have any solid facts so putting us down is all you can do.

If I'm a socailist you are a Nazi! I can also call names. If you would like to have an intelligent debate why don't you stop the name calling. As long as you start off a statement with the Socilist trash talk you are not going to get a respectful respose from me! You and your comrads think it is okay to call people names and then act apalled when you get called a name back. Hypocrate is probable a more fitting name for you but so is fool. Later, FOOL

Are you all missing the obvious? In today's "economy" the answer is sadly "Temporary Work Companies". In the last five years, the part time full time/ full time part time industry has laid claim to the workforce. It's a fine plan to avoid companies paying full benefits and an easy out for circumventing labor laws. Unless you are lucky enough to have a contact who can set you up in a real job, the only recourse is becoming an automaton in the flux of temp assignments with little hope of permanent employment. Walk into any Temp Agency with a glowing resume of years of experience in many fields and wind up doing manual labor in a sweatshop for 90 days. Sad but true! Come on folks, not many jobs cannot be performed without on the job training. Instead you get a bunch of greenhorn kids with sheepskins ranging from 6S Black belt to Administrative Secondary Coordinator of Long Range Logistics, or some other puffed up title. Mostly a bunch of kids with not enough skill to change a light bulb. It's kinda like the Athletic Scholarship scam......a bunch of thugs get scholarships, and lo and behold, become either drug dealers or........eventually become school system gym coaches! One hand feeds the other hand.

Back to the original post.

I find it pitiful that Ramsey is a real estate broker and pushed legislation that weakens property rights.
I own several firearms. I also own property. Ramsey wants to erode my property rights by taking away my right to not allow certain activities on my personal property. The kicker is that I could still be sued in the case of an accident.
