I am not a buffet kind of guy but the food is not bad for a buffet. It is definitely worth a try.

Buffet food is OK. I eat only the food cooked on the grill... It's fresher, and they do a good job.

I visited this establishment on Saturday March 2. I am no food critic but I have eaten at a few Chinese/Japanese restaurants in my life and this experience left a lot to be desired. The food tasted bland. I selected several items off the grill, as well as the buffet, and although it was prepared well and it was clean, it had no taste, at least to me.(The fresh fruit was excellent, though.) I had both chicken and beef cooked on the grill and requested Teriyaki sauce for seasoning. I thought it would spice it up a little, but no.(I try not to compare buffets to made-to-order restaurants as that is usually an unfair comparison.)
After the initial disappointment of the food, we continued to try to finish our meal. Starting halfway through the meal, our waitress continually asked us if we were ready to pay. When we told her no, she insisted we go ahead and pay, while we were still eating. We found this to be odd and a bit rude, but we agreed. I told her I had a 10% student discount for me and my son, which they advertised they accepted. She said OK. When she brought the bill to the table, she had not taken the 10% off. I brought it to her attention and she replied saying the charge was $7.25 each and the discount was about $0.75. I explained to her that 10% would be $1.50 ($7.25 x 2 =$15.00 x .10) and nothing had been taken off. It seemed to confuse her. I didn't want to waste any more time for $1.50. After that, she kept hovering near our table watching for us to leave.
I won't be going back. I hope others have had better luck there than we did.

I took a friend there for dinner. Big mistake. The decor is nice and there's a lot of food, but it's awful. The meats are overcooked, bland and cheap foods. I won't go back. Some of you may like it, but I wouldn't even feed it to my dog!

It probably confused her because your math is incorrect.

Typo. Meant to type $7.50 each x 2. Discount should have been $1.50.

My bf took me there for mothers day. NEVER AGAIN for that price. Some of the food was ok but I told the waitress 3 times to put rolls out. The cakes were stale, the banana pudding sucked. It seemed to me it was cheap brand foods. Not worth $50 for 4 people. I was told it had everything. My kids barely had a choice to pick from. To many onions in everything. If you have money to waste, go for it.

The coupons are a joke. just to get you in there. Then you have to fight them/explain to them (I think they are just acting dumb) to get the discount.

I went in there during a recent holiday when they had advertised a discount on the Johnson city press website banner. They said they didn't know anything about it. I see from these other stories this must be a practice of theirs. I won't go there again. The only way you will get your money's worth is to eat only from the hibachi grill, not off the buffet tables, and get water to drink.

I've been there about 4 times and I like it. The items I choose have flavor and I really love the Sushi. Love the waitress I've had the past couple of times as well. :)
