I've always seen science as God's way of keeping us busy, and giving us the privilege of unlocking the mysteries of his creations. Little by little he lets us discover more and more as needed.

It was a Craftsman, he can take it back to Sears and get a brand new one!!

I'm glad you caught the tool reference, it was pretty creative if I do say so myself.

The Bible teaches that a duty of the watchman is to give the warning to the people when the danger time comes.

If the watchman sees the danger coming and does not give the warning, then the peoples blood will be on the watchmans head. But of the watchman does indeed give the warning and the people heed it not, then their blood is upon their own heads.

The watchman has done his job.

Since you insult me because I write longwinded posts, then you will not be held blameless on the day of judgement. You were given the warning in detail, which you complained about.

Hence your blood will be upon your own head when the Day of Judgement is come. You cant say that nobody warned you.

I'll echo what CPD said and also extend the same gratitude to him. Not to many in my family "appreciate" my opinions anymore and its good to get on here and have a spirited discussion with well-informed individuals rather than those who stoop to name-calling and juvenile behavior when their knowledge of a particular subject has long ago ended. Keep up the good work.

Hmm, I didn't much think of you as a bible thumper there Cheesey, you struck me as more of a general run of the mill believer. I guess I was wrong since you thought the 4K character limit comment included you. Actually it was aimed at HillbillyNuts and his Encyclopedia Britannica length posts all over Topix.

So tell me Cheesey,
Do you go out with bible in hand and get all in people's faces preaching and warning them as they pass you on the sidewalk or drive past with the windows down?
Do you go up to couples sitting holding hands on a park bench and school them on premarital sex and of the approaching end of times?
Do you quote scriptures instead of giving people direct answers and end every sentence with "thank you jesus"?
Do you go out and heckle or smack people with your bible at gay pride parades?
Would you say your preaching style more resembles like a James Brown sort of thing or a Sam Kinison sort of thing?

OR

Are you the kind of thumper that just sits on his ass in front of a computer spewing his absolute knowledge of god and his plan for everything and how the evil Satan bla bla bla you'll go to hell bla bla bla?
Are you the kind that conveniently ignores or make excuses to reinterpret the christian belief Satan in the form of the serpent is the one who tempted the kids to have lunch at the forbidden tree of knowledge which in turn gives us all modern conveniences including electricity, the internet, computers, and cars to name a few.
Ya know what Cheesey, that might be the biggest hypocrisy of all the thumpers. Enjoying the comforts of Satan's gifts while talkin shit about him and telling others they should renounce him.

Damn, I tried to make a hillbillynuts length post but I seem to have failed by about 2000 characters. Oh well, that's one race I'm glad I lost.

No inner demons, I enjoy life just fine, I just wish that I didn't have to witness and listen to the most significant scam in the history of civilization continue to try and dominate other people.
I'll start a prayer chain for you- you are clearly lost and maybe our prayers will help you turn away from your anger.

I guess I just don't understand why you resent him so much. Don't be so quick to categorize or label people. We're all individuals and where people are concerned there's exceptions to every "rule" so to speak. There were things that happened at my church years ago that lead me to have the same views about organized religion that you have now, I wanted no part of it. I still don't attend a church, when I run across an individual like Hillbilly with a vast knowledge of the bible I tend to listen these days. I use the information he posts as food for thought, I then research it and make up my mind for myself. When we start calling each other vulgar names on here and quarreling we're really not benefitting from this site at all. There's a few on this forum that really don't care for my sense of humor, there's others who get a few laughs from it. At the end of the day I'm not gonna quit being myself to please the few that don't like me. It's a kind of political correctness we all deal with as individuals in our day to day lives. We just can't make everybody happy, not even if we try.

I love how "political correctness" is now a term thrown around at anyone who doesn't think they're a soldier of the Apocalypse and that the end of days is just around the corner. As soon as I saw the name of this thread I knew that was what it was going to be about. I see a lot of REVERSE political correctness these days.

I do see your point, actually, and I think it a valid one. Political Correctness is indeed a religious issue because it often carries with it the teachings that run contrary to the Bible.

Jesus said this...

..."If the world hate you, you know that it hated me before it hated you. 19If you were of the world, the world would love his own: but because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. 20Remember the word that I said to you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also...".....John 15:18-20

And also He says..."And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved."...Mathew 10:22

So I am not in the least surprised that some of the posters here hate me.

But the witness has already been given, and it can never be taken away. No ammount of insults or venom they spit at me can remove it.

None of these who have read my witness can say "I didnt know".

The witness is likened unto a two edged sword, for if they hear the witness and repent, then this witness is the word of Life to them.

But if they hear the witness and repent not, then the witness is a condemnation upon them that will not be taken away.

And the witness will condemn them at the Day of Judgment which is to come upon all of humanity in the Lords time.

You go out of your way to start sh*t with people, and then complain that they hate you. You're not being persecuted, you just desperately WANT to be.

The topic of political correctness came up, and since it has morality issues, well naturally morality became involved in the discussion.

I presented the logic that political correctness at its heart, embraces many doctrines and attitudes that run exactly contrary to Biblical teachings.

In other words, sin.

And thus I was attacked (as per usual)

And when that was pointed out by myself and others, then you say that I am going out of my way to start (dirty expletive deleted).

And then you say that I want to be persecuted, which is just another thinly disguised attack on me.

And I also dont complain if I am hated for pointing out the truth about political correctness. I just brought in some scripture to put it all into perspective.

Which you showed an unreasoning rage against.

So, by your apparent attitude, may I deem that you are in opposition to my positions?

If so, then may I also conclude that you...

A...support the idea of political correctness in its basic function of forcing or coercing the mass of the people to think only a certain way (as defined by the atheist, socialist, leftist media and the leftist politicians) and any Christian voices of dissent are to be immediately squashed and atacked (as required by the most elemental summation of PC).

B...that you then support the fundamental agendas being supported and pushed by the PC camp, such as abortion, gay marriage, unconstitutional gun control laws, social engineering, an all powerful nanny state, loss of constitutional rights and freedoms, turning the nation into a police state, extra-Congressional law making by fiat (edict and executive orders), warrantless searches, indefinite arrest and detention without trial or due process, the constant attacks on Christian beliefs and traditions, and all the manny other such things that the leftist are pushing with these mandatory PC agendas?

C...that insertion of Biblical doctrines or scriptures into this discussion seems to enrage and infuriate you?

D...that you justify and practice dishonest debating tricks in order to find a way to twist the debate into a slur attack against anyone that opposes your ideology?

Im not trying to defend myself by attacking you. I am merely pointing out to you what you are saying and doing. And this done in order that you might stop and take a look at yourself and the position that you are defending (PC), and the one that you are attacking (Biblical doctrines).

Is this really what you believe in? Is this really what you want to become?

Hillbilly, why cast your pearls before the swine? These people only want to fuss and call attention to their juvenile ways. I used to think that way.....when i was 16. Give then time and some real world experience, but in the mean time, don't expect them to get right. Youth and rebellion go hand in hand. Don't waste your time on them. Hopefully they will realize their errant ways. If not, you did your best.

Thanks my friend.

But the Pearls are not mine to cast or withhold. They are the things of God. The Great Commission" requires every Christian to give witness.

I can sew the seed, but some other will bring the water, and another the cultivation.

And yet another will reap the harvest and still another to thresh.

So, we who serve the Master must all do our part. If I dont see the immediate harvest from my work, that is not to say there wont be one.

We are all just cogs in a great machine.

Peace
