I think we can easily see here that there are three types of people in the world, as far as God is concerned.
There are the hot (true believers), there are the cold (cold heart-hardened against God) and then there is the very worst possible types, the "Luke Warm".
Jesus had no use for the lukewarm. Jesus said of them...
..."I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth."...
Support for Political Correctness, applies to those who are cold towards God. From that baseline position, PC (and all other forms of sin and rebellion against God) flow. It is the root, and PC is just one of the branches.
PC is like an invading species of plant that creeps in and despoils the fields of the lukewarm "Christians" and chokes them so that they become unprofitable and bear no fruit.
That explains why so many "Christians" are seemingly asleep, while the government is removing freedoms and forcing anti-God policies and laws upon us at an unprecedented rate, and they say nothing.
But, I believe that not all Christians go out with the rapture. I think the sincere ones will. But the lukewarm...they aint going anywhere, but will have to face the tribulation.
Revelation reveals Jesus walking among (judging) the seven Golden candlesticks, or seven Spirits (kinds of spirits, or kinds of people) in the Christian Churches at the end of time.
The true Christians are likened unto the Spirit of the Church of Philadelphia. To them, Jesus says...
"Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth."...Revelation 3:10
And if one reads more of what The Lord says to the Church of Philadelphia, it becomes clear He is addressing those Christians who were found to have the right attitude when He comes for us.
He dont say this good stuff about the other Churches (other kinds of Spirits of believers).

Events are unfolding fast. The time seems to be just about run out for humanity.
The rise of PC is just Gods way of drawing the evil of the world to a head. He is not promoting it, but merely allowing it to happen prior to judgment.
As we see from other scriptures, we understand the meaning of the phrase "fullness of iniquity", such as is found here...
..."But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full."...Genesis 15:16
The concept of "fullness of iniquity" is an often repeated one all through the Bible, in both the Old and New Testaments. Here is a study tool on that concept... http://www.spurgeongems.org/vols52-54/chs3043...
God allows nations (and individuals too) to proceed on the path of sin until thier iniquity is complete.
Drawing it to a head prior to its ultimate removal and destruction.
Thus we have explained correctly how to interpret the PC craze of todays fallen world system. It is nothing more than the "fullness of iniquity" being reached.
And when that happens, then the same thing will happen just as it has in every other such case in the Bible. It does have a known conclusion after all. There is no mystery as to how it will all turn out in the end.
The rise of the PC does not mean that Christians should lower our heads and accept defeat.
Quite the opposite is true.
It means the sin weight is about to be lifted off of this world once and for all, and the overwhelming sin weight of this world is about to be amputated, and all according to the events revealed to us, in the Book of Revelation.
For the anti-God crowd, they may incorrectly interpret the rise of PC as a sign that they are winning.
When they were never closer to eternal doom than they are with every new sin that takes place in the world of men.
