WJHL reported student being "kicked out" because of state requirement on age. The story does not reflect entire truth. Mistakes were made on school level and parents level. Everyone of us makes mistakes every day but the Byrds probably do not own up to their mistakes. By the way why would these fine upstanding parents tell a 4 year old she was "kicked out"? Only an idiot would put it that way to a 4 year old. Does this family reside in the Boones Creek school district? As parents of an older child who has gone through the process I am sure they were aware of possible issues. But the biggest question in my mind is why did they not call school system administrators or school board? Could it be they wanted to create a problem and get some media attention instead of handling it properly? Wouldn't the Christian thing to do be to at least give system a chance instead of calling liberal media? Could they not have used different term with 4 year old just in case the off chance it may confuse her or make her feel not wanted? Yes the school employee made a mistake-when is the last time you made mistake on your job and was the media alerted? Seems like someone needs an ego trip and 5 minutes on the news.

I agree! This man told lies to the media about the whole thing! She only attended 2 classes because kindergarten days are staggered the first couple of weeks. Hope he doesn't have other kids in the system, this could hurt them with their peers. WJHL seems to love to get the dirty on Washington County schools but this is so stupid . I can't believe even they woul show this. If this man wants to be on the news so bad, he should have taken another route! " kicked out" ! That's just plain ignorance at its best

So the news is worried to get the "story" but they only report one side?? And yet they allow the parent to more or less slander the system and another person without hearing both sides. Liberal media at it's best and those who use it to their advantage. I for one feel bad for the child and will find a new news channel for information. Sad event for everyone involved!

I agree! The parents used this little girl to get some social media and WJHL did the same. I see reporting lies is not a problem for them . Never again will I watch WJHL .

No, the Christian thing to do would be to take to Topix & blast their parenting skills & cast aspersions on their character. Duh.
