Maybe instead of getting light sentences we need some mandatory sentencing with some tough guidelines to stop this garbage. First offense, mandatory year in jail. Second offense, five years. Third offense, don't expect to see daylight til you're 70.

IF EVERYONE would take a stand on these DRUGGIES...I believe alot of this drug business could be (almost) eraticated. The Problem is...Most people Have druggies in their families and in Friendships. And ALOT of people WON'T speak up,because they are afraid they might step on some TOES.Lose a friendship,or hurt someone in their family...or send someone to jail.If people would stop and think..let them get in trouble, let them go to jail.If not,we are going to see more young ones suffer, because alot of these druggies are doing their drugs in front of these young children. The Children are watching their parent (Zone out) so to speak. And the children suffer for their STUPIDITY.I say......MAKE THEM PAY...loved ones or not!I dont care who they are....PPL OPEN YOUR MOUTHS AND SPEAK UP...not just here on TOPIX..I KNOW I WILL

All I can say is; if only life was that easy! You will find very few parents that could report they're own children for drug abuse.

Many people have addicts in the family. Each addict is different, and their loved ones deal with the strain of watching them destroy all aspects of life, but they still find hope that things will change. Yes, they've made they're own choices that's led them down the wrong road, Although you can't expect a parent, to report their own child.

Are there situations that would lead a parent to have no choice, of coarse. Most will keep they're mouths shut, spend thousands on any hope for recovery, only because unless you now the love of a child....it's just not that easy.

In this generation some addicts are easy to spot, although some are very under radar. The addictions are kept secret and nobody would now from the appearance of the person or the life they live. They don't all come with long hair and tattoos anymore, quiet the opposite.

I find the biggest problem is the large dealers, cons, under the table thieves, people that take from the most addicted soul, then soak in the money from the weak. When these people fall so will the rate of addiction. The public must take a stand, and report what seems to be strange activity.

It's better to be a snitch than be guilty of not reporting a meth lab and it explodes and kills an innocent child or a young person destroys their lives by getting hooked on this horible drug. Please, if you know of a meth lab be a snitch and rest easy that you might have saved a few lives.

Carter County has an extreme drug problem. It is beyond what most people realize. there is a very active drug "counter culture" in this area. Many of these people are impaired to the point they are unable to function in any productive way. There wouldn't be enough jail cells to house them all if all could be rounded up. Most survive on govt. support of some kind. and most have kids who are growing up to be anti social, dangerous members of society because of the environments they are growing up in. Folks, we are in serious trouble and it may be past the point of no return.
I'm not sure there are enough stable, productive people to maintain our community within just possibly one more generation.

I feel as a home owner & business owner of this area that when we get a renter in and they are just a few of the biggest provider& supplier and the owner of the home in which these ppl rent from are made aware and knowingly continues to rent to them is a shame . Clearly , are home & land owners that desperate to get those few hundred dollars knowingly renting to a renter that creates a lab and sells drugs out of the home this hungry for money while all along placing all home owning / tax paying citizens at risk . I feel any home owner that knowingly rents to what's reported to them on several occasions by several members of the community , should also be held somewhat accountable as jeapordizing the safety of the surrounding community and their families ! Bet they will take great caution in the future as to whom they rent to .... If held at some sort of fault when clearly its been brought to the attn of that home owner or land owner . I know of a home that I'd just as soon buy with cash money, as to rent to drug addicticted meth users , makers and sellers . Shell Creek Rd alone has one that I know of and I would be willing to work a deal to buy the home to prevent continued use and making & selling of drugs while children reside just steps away from this one particular but one of many so I'm learning .. I didn't move to this beautiful area to have such worries for my family & that's why I carry lots of ammo regardless ~ I really want these ppl to get help but some do not even want the help & they say ppl will do just about anything to get the fix so it's up to us to protect ourselves , homes & land ... I will not hesitate and if felt jeapordized , best of luck to anyone who tries my patience or the family as well as neighbors who have also taken more ammo in and less BS .... We are not putting up with this nonsense any longer & surveillance in place now with added voice activation . Mostly I'd like to continue prayer for all of these ppl who have fallen victim to this and all addictions because GOD will guide you to the path of righteousness if you ask of it . Please turn to the lord as he will always walk beside you during your troubled times and he will forever be your savior to get through this horrible life destroying situation . You are all in my prayers and the prayers of the community . Glory to GOD & may GOD bless each of you & your family's .....
