It's good to know he is willing to accept "patience". He will need patience to work with all of the box head pill popping patients.

So you know this program doesnít help? How may I ask, are you a doctor? Or someone that has experience with the program. I see you know the street name for the drug so I was wondering how you come to get the scientific proof that it does not work.

Dear dosen't help,
Mercy no whatever we do lets don't help what was it you called them ? "Box Head Pill Popping Patients" . If we allowed them to get help through one of these clinics, they might be able to afford the treatment. If it does not work, and they have to keep going back for the rest of thier lives. A $400 a month office bill is a lot less than a months worth of street dope, to support a habit. They might not have to steal to support their habit. Of course this would cut into the illegal drug dealers money, we really would not want to do this would we! They might be able to hold down a small job and pay for thier treatment and that would never do. I bet you anything drug addiction is nothing more than a rumor started by people who are hooked on drugs. But by the grace of God we could be one of them.

I am not a doc or a patient. I just wanted to make fun of the grammar of the original poster.

I can tell you two things about suboxone treatment. First, it is not a reputable medical practice. I don't see any other doctors peddling their services on forums like this. Second, it is not an effective form of substance abuse treatment. Unfortunately, we will have to wait for the "scientific evidence" while "patients" and other substance abusers suffer the consequences of suboxone abuse. Suboxone has many street names for a reason. It is bought, sold, and abused just like any other drug.

Why don't we call it what it is? More or less a Methadone clinic. Artificial red. Some communities reject such clinics and are successful in stopping them, due to the fear of junk heads hanging around. It's a shame when "doctors" rake money from someone's addiction. But, perhaps it will work. If I were dependent on opiates, I'd sure hate to shell out 200 bucks up front and then 100 bucks every now and then for such iffy treatment. A good drying out in a substance abuse hospital might be a better solution. It just seems a substitute drug is not the way to go to break the habit.

Right you are LG that is what it is. its just that the media has not put two & two together yet if that were the case they too (the doctors) would have a hard time keeping their leases.
The thing is there ARE success stories, it works for some and as is with all diseases there are those that just never heal...they die young and hard I have seen it first hand
Point I am trying to make is this if it helps one out of a thousand itís worth trying donít you think?
Now about the doctors...well man has made money from the want and woe of his fellow man for a long time it will never end and as you said is sad.
Now for the other numbnuts that posted sounds like you need to visit the life of a junkie or a drunk some time could be you may learn something.

I am a registered nurse who has spent about 10 years working rehab. ask me what i think about suboxone- one big pharmacuetical joke. the number of persons who this really helps is so few. it is just a means of substituting one addictive pill for another, not really even substitute considering most people what take it- still use other drugs too. Too many people that are prescribed this drug are abusing and selling them. there have been numerous reported deaths related to this (causes respiratory arrest)So what is the answer to our drug plaqued, drug infested community- I dont know but I can tell you it is NOT suboxone!

it is so sad that people still think there is a magical medical cure in the form of a pill that ends drug addiction, food addiction. People spend their entire lives looking for the answer. it comes to this..... it is nothing more or less than will power and faith and acknowledgment there will be daily struggles and temptation. I believe in second chances, I believe in reaching out to help those who are down. But what frustrates me is the bottom feeders who suck off the system who are repeatedly offered help and dont take it serious because they know the system will always support them. Most of the people who abuse drugs are people who dont work and receive government assistance. This is such a failed- never ending cycle.

thank you for the info to the first poster and to the nurse unless you have been through it or have someone real close to you that has you have no idea what your talking about it does ehlp and is better than doing street drugs cause you can function normally without stress over how your going to keep from getting sick you can hold down a job and not once have I heard of anyone robbing hurting or doing anything like that to get suboxone and yes people have died but many many more have died from other much worse drugs why don't you worry about getting those people help and leave the peolple who are trying on there own to help themselves alone at least we are trying to better ourselves not going around trying to talk people into staying on drugs instead of giving suboxone a try

All of us sub heads come to J.C. to get our fix. The $200.00 and $100.00 visits are a joke. The doc I see gives me 60 8mg subutex (you can snort it) which costs (with insurance) $10.00. I then sell up to 40 of the subs to friends at work for $20.00 each. This $800.00 leaves me with a monthly profit of $690.00 and 20 free subs. I break these 20 into 1/3s and let them dissolve under my tongue as directed. One third of a subutex feels similar to a roxi, but lasts all day. For years I've been prescribed lortab 10s, but the pain relief from subs blow tabs out of the water. I still get 90 lortabs from my family doctor and sell all of them for $6.00 each. So I make a little more than $12000.00 a year from drug sales to my friends. The subutex/suboxone system is totally safe compared to doing the Florida thing. The doctors know patients sell pills to pay for their visits. That's the way the system works.

"That Guy"...I hope your post is read and your contact information is requested by law enforcement so you can be arrested and prosecuted for drug trafficking. YOU, and people like YOU are what's wrong with these clinics.

You are correct. The system allows deadbeats like you to make a living off these substances and usually on the honest folks' tax dime. It would be hard to turn down easy money in these hard times, but it may come back to bite you in the a**. These clinic "doctors" know the score and play the game. Thanks to you and your parasitic kind, a prescription for someone with real chronic pain is hard to get. But on the bright side, eventually one of your "friends" will get busted and roll over on you like a dog in a pile of sh**.
