Gave Gregs another chance and it got even worse. This is absolutely our last time there. Not the same as the old Gregs. Ingredients have been changed to save them money. On top of that the prices were raised SKY HIGH! We always get a small cheese no toppings with either a sandwich or spaghetti. Always paid around $18 and today the same exact order we've been getting for last few years went up to $23 plus tax. We can get the bigger cheese pizza at Rockys for $1 less than Gregs small pizza. Spaghetti at Rockys is $6.50 compared to Gregs $9.36 (plain spaghetti. Rockys spaghetti is consistent and so are their pizzas. I will not be back to Gregs again. DONE!

I agree..... Gregs is not Gregs anymore and they have gotten my order wrong several times. That just didn't happen with Cunningham. What's with all the female employees now??? Not against anyone working but just wondering why all those yrs Gregs never employeed females and things worked so well and now things are falling apart. Heard other people commenting on that too.

Went to elizabethton Gregs and they no better. Did same guy buy it as johnson city one? Its sad and gregs was always the best anywhere. The new owners need to go back to the original gregs. Elizabethton prices were up too. just can't afford anymore even if it was still good

Greg's Pizza remains the same as before, toppings and price wise.

The last time any prices were altered was August 2011, while still under the ownership of Mike Cunningham.

The cheese, toppings, and food overall remain the same and have not been changed.

I went to pick up my pizza and when I got to the car I had to grab a slice. It was completely brown. Burnt! I took it back in and asked for a refund. They told me alot of people order it that way. And to try it you might like it. But if I didn't they would make another if I would wait another 30 minuets. I'm one sad fat boy

Ordered pizza there Friday evening. Was told it would be 30-35 minutes. Got there a few minutes early and went ahead and paid for my pizza.. sat down to wait for it and finally, 55 minutes after my order was placed, I went back to the register to ask when it would be done and, surprise, it had been done and was sitting there getting old.. thanks for calling out my name when it was ready. I've never seen it take so many employees to ring up an order. not very impressed with the women working there.

The prices have changed since new ownership. The prices are ridiculous now. A regular spaghetti is $9.36 and that's without meatballs, mushrooms or anything. Just plain spaghetti with meat sauce. I can get the same size spaghetti at Rockys for $6.50. It is basically the same exact sauce too. The same size pizza with same toppings is $3 less at Rockys. I'm not trying to push Rockys on anyone. Rockys only downfall is bad location. I'm only stating the truth that Gregs isn't the old Gregs anymore. Several people know he is using cheaper cheese and charging more. I don't waste money there anymore on mediocre food.

Rocky's doesn't even come close to Greg's. I've heard the story about how the the guy used to work at Greg's and stole the recipe and opened Rockys more times than I can count. Apparently he didn't do a very good job of stealing the recipe cause its not very good. And personally I wouldn't support a business that prides themselves on stealing another's recipe.

Completely false. It's asinine to make such assumptions.

The last price raise was in 2011, while still under ownership of Mike Cunningham. The cheese is the same as well. Same brand, same blend, guaranteed.

Claim what you will, but facts are facts, and spreading false rumors not only make you look a fool but hurt a business that doesn't deserve your unwarranted lashing.

I don't know what part of my statement you are saying is not true but I know what I used to pay for a spaghetti and a small cheese pizza at Gregs and I know how much it cost now since the price change. The quality is not like it used to be. I'm not the only one that has noticed that. I'm not trying to hurt anyones business. I am only giving my opinion which I have a right to do. You can keep eating at Gregs but I will not be going there anymore. Don't call me a fool. You are the fool when you call another person a fool just because you don't agree with them.

I agree, the quality has gone downhill fast. The last time I ordered from there the spaghetti had mushrooms that were hard as rocks and the noodles were like hookworms. It just didn't come close to what it used to be. Maybe I was there on a bad day, it happens. I'm gonna give them one more try soon. If it's the same lame food, bye bye to them!

I've heard that old story of a former worker stealing the recipe time and time again. If you add it up, about one third of the non-chain pizza parlors have done that! I don't believe a word of it, but have noticed that the last time I was at Greg's, it wasn't very good at all. Might have been a bad day, I dunno. Gonna give them one last chance soon.

I dont know whos saying its not changed, but those people gotta be getting paid to say that.

it sucks now, both on the management and ownership side and on the food side.

used to love the meatball subs but they definitely did something different!

id pay mike cunningham triple the normal rate if hed make me some real gregs in his own kitchen. he could be kind of cold sometimes too but at least he made sure people were trated right and not like their cogs in a machine that are expected to be happy with whatevr theyre served

I think it has been established that Greg's pizza has taken a turn for the worse. I don't know why. I just wish they would get back to the famous pizza and subs they used to make. It's a shame that an establishment that has been around so long has gotten lame. Whatever the reason, I sure miss the good stuff. I guess that like everything else, maybe they are cutting corners. That might work for some businesses, but not Greg's! The stuff has been almost legendary for decades and I'd sure hate to see it go under. Somebody there needs to wake up and go back to basics.
