Has anybody noticed gregs pizza is different now in a not so good way? I know the owner sold to someone new but I think they are using cheaper cheese and its not as good

I eat Greg's pizza once a week. And have for the last 30 years. Everytime somebody tells me of having a bad experience I can't help but bring up the "Soup Nazi" episode of Seinfeld. They are a staple to this area and seeing as they have remained small I believe they
stay busier than they care to be and don't really mind pissing people off. This is unfortunate but doesn't bother me enough to not eat there.

I have nearly zero complaints with Greg's. Sure one out of a hundred visits may go bad with a lame salad or an over toasted sub, but all in all, they are hard to beat. They are a very fast moving business and every now and then some idiot doesn't show up or orders the wrong stuff, resulting in a monkey wrench in the service. Nobody can duplicate their pizzas! If you don't like them, go to some of the "instant pizza" shops and have a freeze dried PLASTIC PIZZA! I've heard more than one tale of so and so who used to work there, started their own pizza parlor, etc. None have even come close! You can't beat Greg's.

15 minutes?? When was the last time you orderd a pizza there and it was erady in 15 minutes?? I love Greg's Pizza, too, but you can count on a good 25 minute wait during off-peak hours and up to 45 minutes during peak hours.. and yes, they are worth the wait. lol

Its because of the sleep walking rapist they hired named Ronald, the bald guy at the register with a million tattoos!

Ordered pizza there Friday evening. Was told it would be 30-35 minutes. Got there a few minutes early and went ahead and paid for my pizza.. sat down to wait for it and finally, 55 minutes after my order was placed, I went back to the register to ask when it would be done and, surprise, it had been done and was sitting there getting old.. thanks for calling out my name when it was ready. I've never seen it take so many employees to ring up an order. not very impressed with the women working there.

I tried Greg's Pizza and it wasn't so neat
The cheese had a funky odor like sweaty feet
I watched 'em make my pizza and spin the dough
Waited an hour 'cause they were so danged slow

I don't know about the JC store but the Elizabethton restaurant is as good as it has always been, using the same brand of cheese and recipes as before

Greg's pizza? 10 lbs of grease. Never understood the local obsession with that place.

Greg's is as good as ever. You people who complain about it either don't understand "Greg's style" or you expect the employees to entertain you.
Greg's style pizza is unique and delicious in its own right. The employees are there to take orders, prepare food, and collect from the customer.
Get over it. I am going there now!

I ate there today and I'll have to agree its not as good as it use to be. I had the ham sandwich and it was barely mediocre. Probably wont go back,

Same thing happened to me. Apparently the new staff working there can't get their act together. I miss the old Greg's Pizza.

Our complaint is the service and quality of food prior to the change in ownership versus what customers get now. I am a loyal Greg customer, love the pizza, but the service has suffered recently. No, we do not expect to be entertained, just made aware when our order is ready so we can get it while it is hot.
