This thread is devoted to "keeping it real". Please post all your "real" comments below. If you show any kind of a sense of humor I will be forced to whine about it to draw attention to myself.

Darius Rucker - Wagon Wheel Full Lyrics [Video] Well, according to the area of listing, Darius is dead, as it is, this post was in the obituaries. I really don't care either way, not a fan. How did his "demise" appear on this listing? I'm just trying to keep it real! As my momma said, "If you can't take a joke, why did we raise you!"

Yep, and I'm no fan of country music, but The Possum was the epitome of real county music. None of this bogus "country rock stuff". The old boy sure laid it out there, sober or not. I can only describe his music as Hard country....the real deal!
Like I said, I don't listen to the stuff, but gotta hand it to him, he sure delivered. Now, don't get me wrong, country music is something I don't listen to by choice, but as long as it's the real stuff, more power to it and the Possum was the real deal!

After hearing of his passing I YouTube'd some of his music. That man put his heart and soul into every song. I was kinda swept away at the emotions he could make one feel through music. I shared the videos on my FB page and my mom, who lost her husband a couple years ago, commented that "He stopped loving her today" had moved her to tears.

Ya know, it's almost like George saw the changing of the guard coming in country music. The video from 1985 entitled "Who's gonna fill their shoes" was more or less a country genre prophecy. Not many of today's artists should be considered country music. I like guys like Toby Keith and maybe even Eric Church but 90% of the rest belong on a pop rock station and some like Scary Underwood and that first American Idol winner are on soft rock stations also
