I try to stay outta that place as much as humanly possible. I think if we all got our groceries at actual grocery stores like old times we could put walmarts sorry a$$ out of business. I can't wait for the day one of those dumb a$$ cop wanna bes stops me for "shop lifting." I'll have my name on that building by the time it's said & done. I'm tired of the Walmart bill sh!t!
Thank you, you're a real American who cares about other Americans. That's a lost tribute. You're a good person.

The Walton's have $90 billion, they never worked in their life. I don't envy them one bit, because they will burn in hells fire for all eternity. What I care about is the people who work for them and yet love below the poverty line.

You seem a little jealous. If you don't like Walmart, don't shop there. If you don't like working there, don't. You think the Waltons have some sort of money tree spitting out money they didn't earn. How the hell do you think WalMart got started. Don't get me wrong, I never shop there, but quit attacking people for their success. Somebody worked their ass off to get WalMart to the size it is in its formative years. Maybe the children of the Waltons are running it in the ground, but the founders apparently did some right things to achieve their success. Success is not the problem with this country. Its the people with a lack of success who take no accountability that is killing the country. Life is full of choices. Make the right ones, you get rewarded. Make the wrong ones, you get punished. It is that simple.

Pretty much right...I don't get all these idiots who say Walmart is "Un-American". What's more American than coming up with a better business plan than your competitor and beating them at their own game? It's called capitalism and is usually embraced until a company gets "too big" then they start getting bashed for it. And I for one have no desire to go to some local Mom and Pop store and get screwed by paying twice the price for something I shouldn't need to. Times are changing and this isn't Mayberry anymore.

Seriously?! Lets talk about why America is in the mess we are in?! We demand lower prices & higher wages which is impossible. So, this in turn forced companies to produce products over seas. Walmart is one of the worst companies for starting this lower price demand. They're china mart ! If you knew the first thing about business you would know its virtually impossible to have jobs in American while producing the products here. So, what you're saying is that you're for outsourcing & high unemployment rates!

No, I'm for some of you lazy dipshits getting off your asses and working for a living. If you don't like the Chinese handing our ass to us, build a better widget. Americans are fat and lazy by nature and are spoiled. Get out of Hampton and travel the world and see how life really is outside your bubble. And nobody "forced" Walmart or any other company to buy products from overseas...they do it because they're smart and the stuff is cheap and they can make a higher margin off of it. If YOU knew anything about business you would have sense enough to know this is how you turn a Mom and Pop business into the $450B empire Walmart is today!

Are you kidding? You think Walmart started the demand for lower price goods? This is the most ludicrous statement I have ever seen on any Topix post. Let me give you a big dose of reality. Jobs are shipped overseas due to taxes, unions, EPA, healthcare and the legal system. I want to state however I do not support or believe in shipping jobs overseas to places that basically utilize slave labor and slave wages to manufacture goods. However, if you tax a company to death, demand they pay healthcare, strictly regulate their affect on the environment, allow employees to basically blackmail their employers for higher wages, etc., jobs going overseas is the result. It is Americans who want maximum pay for minimum work and it is these same Americans who only buy the lower priced products. Not all Americans mind you, but enough to cause this affect. Walmart is simply falling in the system that we as Americans created. They didn't start any of this.

If enough Americans strictly purchased only American made goods, jobs would not be shipped overseas. If American companies weren't the most regulated companies in the world with the most demanding work force, jobs would not be shipped overseas. I for one do own a business and have offered goods "Made in the USA" and had to quit offering them because nobody bought them. Nobody bought them because they cost a little more. Not a lot more, just a little. Most consumers could care less if something is made in the USA if they can save a buck by buying something foreign made. And none of this has anything to do with the Waltons or Walmart. Look in the mirror and you will see part of the reason why this happens.

I agree with most all of this except the part where if we only bought American made goods jobs would not be shipped overseas. That's part of our problem now since we've moved from a manufacturing base....we don't make hardly anything here anymore to be able to buy American. I heard someone just last week bragging about their Chevy truck they bought being an American made vehicle when in reality it's no more American as a Hyundai plant in Alabama as both are importing needed parts from Mexico and other places to slap their vehicles together.

Apparently your the idiot and don't know how to spell either. They are just doing their jobs. What would you do if that was your job? Ever thought they may not want to do that either but with the economy they are taking the job they are offered? Leave people alone if you don't know their situation.

Or maybe this person never considered that Walmart has to actually pay money for loss prevention people because Rednecks are ripping them off blind. Look in any paper and you will see where shoplifters were caught at Walmart. If somebody tries to rob your house, are you going to leave them alone?

Obviously they have too much time on their hands or they aren't trained well. I've never stolen anything in my life & I see them watching me almost every time I'm there.
