I won't entertain your need to expose your own lack of knowledge or real world experience, both in labor affairs or social interaction, you are doing a fine job of that on your own.
Grow up punk. I wasn't the one that had to pay someone else to fight my battles for me. Sissy ass.

Now we are Gaining over 150,000 Jobs a Month.
Get someone to explain the difference between Loss and Gain to you........
According to the Bureau of Labor in 2006 wages were up 3.3% over 2005, up 3.4% in 2007, up 2.6% 2008 (dems had congress) That figure has nver been over 1.9% under the clown in the white house. That's why under the democrat the sheep keep on gettin poorer, while the dems teach them to hate financially successful people!

chill out fella. You're getting too worked up here. We know you believe in the philosophy of I got mine you get yours. You don't see that as selfish, but one day, if you believe in God you will learn if you were right in that assumption. Now you need to take a deep breath and believe what you believe and hold on to these beliefs and feelings that will eat you up from inside. I feel sorry for you myself. It seems like you get really worked up over these things that have always been this way. You will eventually have a coronary!

You should try not to get so worked up over these things. You will have a coronary. One day, if you are a Christian, and believe in God, you will be judged. Your caustic attitude toward the poor and your fellow man will be evaluated by Him. As for now, you should take a deep breath and attempt to find some empathy in your heart and mind.

Pop, we are both guilty of getting way off the subject and starting to act like some of the spiteful sorehead posters on here, just trading salvos of disrespect. I apologize and honestly applaud you on your business venture, and hope you the best of luck. Let's just say we disagree on certain things and leave it at that. No use in either of us getting too worked up on an opinion, when neither of ours really amounts to a hill of beans here. I respect your tenacity and we all need more of that. I never discovered exactly what your business is, but that is of no importance. I truly hope you will continue to treat the employees of your business well. You're cool in my book! I hope you accept my apology and that some of these miscreants on here can learn from it.(Well, they probably won't, but it's out there)! Peace, Pop.

I have worked in several places where the "flexibility" thing was supposed to be the employees choice. They could take the overtime pay, or they could take time off.

Except, verbal instructions (off the record) came down from the office, that if you want to keep your job, you will just take the "comp time".

And that expired at the end of the year.

No problem, just put in for it before the end of the year, right?

Um, no.Sorry, we just cant spare you.

Enf result, employee gets screwed out of the money that they earned. Thats how it works in the real world.

The big suits with thier big theories on this and that, well, you can tell who has ever worked as an employee, and who was born with the silver spoon in thier mouths.

Guys who have actually worked (not in an office, but real work) all know that this cutting out overtime pay is just another screw the little guy law, just like NAFTA and the "Food Safety" laws, etc.

Just plain old corruption from the GOP.

The only reason that is Obama ever won any election isnt that many people agree with him on anything. Hes just there because the Republicans are so ridiculously corrupt, inept, and out of touch.

You are correct. People voted against republicans, not for democrats. This comp time jive is just another stab at workers by big business to screw us over again. Seriously ridiculous.........if a company needs to work overtime, how can they provide time off? The outcome of such legislation would leave the door open to comp time being substituted for vacation, sick days, etc. Just look at how FMLA has been wornholed and taken advantage of by companies in regard to vacation, when it was supposedly meant for families. When companies want "flexibility" that means the worker bending over backwards.

Thank you very much for this post. You have earned a lot of respect from me. Yes, we do disagree on things and I do realize everyone has their own opinion. I too apologize for delving into the insult abyss. I think we both want the exact same things, we just differ a little on how to achieve them. I value my employees highly and consider each and every one part of my family. Sometimes I get burned with my compassion, but more times than not, it pays off in terms of productivty and the well being of me and the employee. I have learned the long and hard way that it is in a company's best interests to pay your stronger assets highly. No company can be successful without quality employees. In my opinion, the best way to earn the most money you can possibly make is to make yourself indispensable to you employer. In short, put yourself in a position where the employer cannot imagine operating without you. We currently have several of these types of assets and they are paid very well. Each one came up through the ranks and progressively earned more responsibility over time through their performance. However, I also pay very well on entry level jobs. In my opinion, you get what you pay for and I want the best that I can afford.

You seem like a respectable and honorable person, and again, I thank you for your post and admire you for the willingness to post it.

Hey Folks, let's have some fun at "Mayson Cutie's" expense! After all, he is merely comic relief and it might help to focus our negativity toward him instead of the sane posters. In one sentence, what do you all think he would do if he were really pissed? Please limit it to one sentence and refrain from vulgarity or excessive swearing (that's his game)! " If Cutie were really pissed, he'd try to pick a fight with the little crippled boy down the street and call him a lazy democrat!"

Yep, I think you and I are both seeing the same thing, and that comes from experience.

The people are on the edge of going backwards by more than 100 years in labor rights (wasnt Obama supposed to be for labor?)

But, the Republicans will push this mess, and the democrats will "reluctantly" go along with it in order to get something from the GOP that they really want, like more Obamacare fix concessions, gun bans, or Gay marriage concessions, etc.

The only people that dont have a voice in any of this, are the Christian conservative voters. But, as bad and corrupt as the government is, the American people are themselves corrupt. They would rather watch a sports even than write a lettof of protest to thier elected representatives. Most of the young people are too sorry to even vote, and the ones that do tend to vote for the atheist/communist exttemist (liberal democrats).

(Not that the GOP is any better, honestly)

They pay no heed to responsible government. They have a careless attitude, they think that sins such as abortion and Gay marriage are light things, and they have turned a deaf ear to the Word of God.

So, the shackles of slavery are being slipped on them, and they have a spirit of slumber to numb them.

So really, the American people have deserved what they are getting.
