How dare any of your dumbasses say good riddense to his passing. Stew was a good person. All the things being said about what he did are just speculations! Pull your head out of your asses. A 22 year old boy died by the hands of someone! End of story.
And he put a kid in the hospital. Kind of hard to argue he was worth a crap.

Nancy peppers brothers name is Wesley, Stewart was a good kid but some people snap, there was something wrong and it wasn't drugs! He didn't o d either bitch. A untrained guard at the jail killed him you sorry sob.
My father was an inmate here as well. He was "found" in his cell and died at the hospital. His skull was smashed, I later found out that he had actually been in a confrontation with jailers His name was Charles Edward Williams, and he indeed had not been simply found in his cell, "an apparent fall with no witnesses" as the facility staff stated upon his admission to the hospital. I live in North Carolina and I was not informed of anything until after he was pronounced brain dead. I obtained his medical records and by the time I had it all pieced together the evidence was gone. The state gladly cremated him free of charge, and I failed to ask for a FORENSIC AUTOPSY specifically. There is a difference between a medical autopsy and a forensic. The medical shows the cause of death, the FORENSIC will tell you the manner in which they died,(what caused the injury that resulted in death).

O and also another inmate died two days after he did... Coincidence???
How many inmate deaths will it take before something is done about this. I suggest we put all of our incidents together and take this to the US Attorney general. Local officials will not help, I have been down that road. We need to open someones eyes to exactly what is going on in this place. The people who are running this place will face their Karma in due time, but we have to bring world attention to these people NOW. I understand the law should not be broken & the inmates are there for a reason, but this incompetence and maltreatment of these prisoners ,is in violation of our natural rights as human beings. Especially when there has been no trial & they have not been found guilty through due process of the court system. Which given the circumstances is probably just as crooked as the people they have running this place. This is unacceptable, and something should be done. It took me weeks and weeks of emails before my dads death was even acknowledged by the media. I wonder how many others have died or been killed due to ignorance and maltreatment that we dont know about? This is very disturbing.

For the record, I knew Stewart well. I lived with him for 2 years and the actions he did on this night aren't normal of him. Also how dare you people talk about someone you do not know. He had lots of potential and was a very successful student and highly aspiring bodybuilder. It would be wise to not judge someone due to the actions of one night. He lived for 22 years and was a great person, ask anyone who knew him. The night of this incident the police were even told that he was mentally unstable and acting out of his mind. I will agree what he did wasn't right and I wish I could sit down and ask him why, but that will never happen now. I do believe that he died because of his treatment in the prison. He was used to eating a large diet, nearly 10 meals a day, and not fed even a portion of what he was used to. He even complained to his father of hunger pains in the 5 days he sat in that cell. I do not know how the police handled him, but I do know it probably wasn't with warm open hands. I simply feel that if proper care and consideration would be taken of him while in jail, and yes he did need to be there because of his actions, even though I believe he was not within his proper mental bounds, then he would still be alive. I personally want answers for what happened to a good friend of mine and I don't want people remembering him for the actions of obviously the hardest night of his life. Rather he should be remembered for the other 22 short years he got and all the happiness he brought to his many friends.
After reading all these comments, yours made a light bulb go off in my head. I'm not accusing this young man of anything but is it at all possible that he was using steroids? I had a friend in High School that used them, and at times they made him change personalities. I've heard it referred to as "Roid Rage". I may be totally off base here, but its a viable theory. I'm deeply sorry for the loss of your friend.

You guys are so wrapped up in your own emotional connections that you have failed to see what is happening in your own town. People are dying.. Who cares what they did to be there? The fact is he died in the care of the people you trust the most for protection & justice. This man was young; and even if he was guilty, this is not the punishment he deserved, PERIOD. Unless of course you believe in dictatorship.

I agree. Everybody makes mistakes. Some worse then others but at least where there is life, there is hope. This young man was never given the chance to right his wrongs.

i did not know stewart well but i did talk to him once and know many people that were friends with him. him as a person has nothing to do with what he did or how good of a person he was this has nothing to do with the topic of this post and will not. ive heard from a friend that he had been acting weird prior to this happening and im sure he wasnt in the right place mentally but the point of this is to show that something is going wrong in the jail. he was in jail he did not od simply because he had been in jail for days. something has happened to a 22 year old that now has no chance to change his life or fix whatever mental problems he had wrong with him simply because he is gone now and wont get that chance. this is about what happened to him while he was in jail not the kid he beat before he went there

For those of you so quick to judge on a person you never knew, I sincerely pray to God that someone you love NEVER faces mental illness, NEVER makes a bad decision, NEVER drives drunk, NEVER takes advantage of a girl, NEVER texts and drives, NEVER gets in a fight, NEVER takes drugs, is NEVER in the wrong place at the wrong time, NEVER does anything wrong that could cause their mug shot to show up online because reading things like:

"Good riddance to bad rubbish..."
"that person was a monster"
"the world is better off without him..."
"hard to argue he was worth a crap..."

Is HEARTBREAKING to the people who actually KNEW Stewart. If you had known Stewart before all of this mess, you would know that he was an intelligent, kind, caring, supportive FRIEND who would do anything for those he cared about, had a younger sister he adored, among many other wonderful qualities. You people who are so quick to judge based on the actions of ONE night out of the entire 22 years that he existed are IGNORANT.

It is very clear to all who knew him that his behavior that Thursday night was not normal. The police were called long before anything "bad" happened to try and get him some help, and the cries for help were ignored and because of that, someone is in the hospital and Stewart is dead and ALL of his friends and family are mourning his loss.

I'm not saying Stewart isn't to blame for his actions that night, or that he was Jesus incarnate, but I am saying that what he did was extremely out of character and we are all SHOCKED by what happened. If I had known Stewart to be violent, angry, mean, hurtful, or frightening then the events that happened would not be so jarring- But that wasn't him... And you don't have to believe me, but you should stop leaving such nasty, damaging, vile, repugnant, deplorable and comments about someone you've never met.

haden gieger ----Police said Haden Geiger was “clearly high on an unknown substance. He stated he had taken nitrous oxide, then oxycodone,(then) he stated he had taken K-2. Upon being asked multiple times what had happened to him he stated it happened at MMA (mixed martial arts) training earlier.”
According to police, Geiger would then tell police that nothing had happened.
stewart peppers----
A resident had reported seeing a man break out his neighbor’s vehicle window and run away. Police found Peppers in the area, but as he spoke with officers, he dropped a book bag and a gym bag and ran again. Police caught him a few blocks away.
Inside the bags, police found a loaded handgun, a vial containing an anabolic steroid and about 45 grams of marijuana, police said.
As Officer Jeffrey Hammonds was arresting Peppers, there was another report about a woman who had a gun pointed at her several hours before.
The woman, April Terry, told officers she was driving on Milligan Highway and turned left onto Swadley Road when she saw a man pushing a bicycle. Terry told police she slowed down and made eye contact with the man.
“He immediately dropped the bike and walked toward her and pulled a gun and pointed it at her face and said,‘Give me your (expletive) car,’” Officer Jeff Stork wrote in the affidavit.

I can produce may affidavits of my fathers demise in this facility.. all of which are conflicting and state falsehoods. One can wonder if the young lady only slowed down, how on earth he managed to point a gun at her face? What did he jog or run at a steady pace and point the gun at her face, or did she stop? I guess her window was down... or was it?

What happened to protect & serve? The fact is, no matter what this young man did or did not do, he was paying the price, he was apprehended and was awaiting his trial. Be careful, god forbid YOU or one of YOUR family members face the other side of this type of situation. Sadly TYRANNY is starting to become the new trend... and the sheep are following the wolf.

Simple truth... you all was not there... you all did not see him come in and how he was acting... he was a massive man on a DRUG induced rage wreaking havoc in Johnson city... take that and place it into a confined space is a disaster coming... Did any of you not see the part where he had a substantial amount of drugs on him and a firearm in his possession the night he was picked up and him raising Caine claiming he was the incredible hulk??? TBI is doing there job and whenever the autopsy comes back I'm anxious to hear the intox report.... so before you all go blabbing your mouths about everyone and placing blame for his death, wait until you get the facts straight...

I workout at the lifestyles and saw Stewart everyday. He was nothing but nice, no signs of any anger problems. He was an awesome bodybuilder, who was set to compete in October. He wrote up free meal and workout plans to anyone who needed him, which he could make some money if he had decided to charge. The point is, it's a total shock. What he did was pretty crazy and I don't blame people for the negative thoughts towards him. He was an avid steroid user, everyday. I mean you have to if you're competing in bodybuilding. The question is whatever he was using, whether it be the marijuana or the roids, it could have been laced with something else. I've heard it could have been bath salts. Now that's all rumors so don't jump the gun. No one knows for sure what he had in him that made him go crazy

After knowing each other for years, Stewart and I dated for a few months before that fateful night. I got scared when he told me he started his cycle in the beginning of April so I backed off and stopped talking to him. I was afraid that I was losing my Stewart...

The one who cuddled up on the couch with my puppy, the one who made goofy Chewbacca noises... The same one who watched Lord of the Rings in a wizard's cap and adopted a puppy (whom he named "Mr. Porky")... The steroids scared me because I didn't want to lose him to that.

He was the sweetest and most gentle (with as big as he was) person I have ever met. I wish so dearly that I could see him one more time to be wrapped up in his arms and just feel so...safe. Many may not understand because of the charges he got that night but I will never forget that feeling.

Perhaps we should have reacted more when he reached out. "I feel like I'm losing my mind. There's a monster in here." The last thing he said to me... That is what I have to remember.

So, before you bash someone from the coziness of your computer chair, think of the family, friends and loved ones that have to read your shitty opinion. Have a heart. I sincerely hope you never have to hurt like this.

Well "Jesse James" it seems you have all the answers, so tell us were you there that faithful night? You speak as if you were. Why don't you enlighten us?I speak or "blab" as you call it, from past experience. I am speaking to spread awareness not to accuse anyone of anything. The last I checked I was living in America and I can say what I want, or is it now a crime to speak the truth?
THE FACT is this happened to one of my loved ones in this facility and they lied to me about what happened. Either way this agency is dishonest, and this sad tragedy does not surprise me one bit. Now that I have had dealings with these protectors of the peace, I for one take nothing they say at face value.

SO Jesse James hang out, crack open another beer , pop your popcorn! I am sure your local officials will be stating more "truths" on the news in the days to come about what REALLY happened. If your a little slow that was sarcasm. At any rate this is a very sad situation and to make it out to be anything less shows poor character and an extreme disregard of human life. That's my opinion of course, we are still allowed to have those...right? SIGH

I'm not media Christy... If you don't like what you hear in the news change the channel. If you don't like the answers you get then go get training and become an investigator. If you don't like this county or its officials then move... like you said, its your right. Either way, no explanation will put you at ease and will never except thatmaybe, just maybe this was the individuals fault???? Must put the blame on someone else... Might as well sue the car companies for people driving drunk killing innocent people because they got behind the wheel. As for me being there??? No not hardly... Just stating what a "reasonable person" would see in this situation...

And to boot Christy you need to RE-READ YOUR post... You clearly accusing them for the young man death and if America is so great for you to speak freely then why use your own words like Dictatorship and Tyranny? Yes, you would be a perfect person to swear an affidavit... Your crazy... MY RIGHT to opinion... None of this would have happened to this young man had it not been for HIS own action. You really should rally up your sheep (if they will follow you) and go running to the US Attorney General...
