A few years later, while working for another democrat in the white house, Rahm Emanuel, Obama's chief of staff, is on record stating "F*** the Unions". Why did Rahm say this.. and let's face it, many people in today's democratic party in fact agree with him. Thus I have to conclude numerous democrats are in fact anti union, anti doing something about the massive wealth INequity in our nation. that is unacceptable.
I guess that the middle class has lost so much ground in the last four years.

Go back under your rock & look up the Middle Class decline that began in 1980. Also, do you not understand that you are posting the Republican agenda. I believe that you are confusing Redumblicans with Democrats. Or, you could just be a troll.

You might want to ask Greece what they think about unions now.

I'm trying not to roll my eyes so hard they don't fall out of my head, but you wouldn't pass any literacy test administered if I ran a public school. You spout an egalitarian principle like a far-lefter but you took a quote out of context all Glenn Beck style so I can't tell if you are for real or not.

In reality, your thoughts and fears are baseless. Rahm Emmanuel did say that. But instead of asking "hmm, why?" you jumped to an illogical conclusion.

The quote came during negotiations on the government bailout deal of GM. The package put together by the White House and the GM board involved cuts all around and some gov't backing to save the company. You can certainly argue whether it was good for the government to bail out GM, but you would be wrong since they are now finally making cars at a profit and I am pretty sure the taxpayers got the loan back.

But as the deal loomed, advisors informed the White House that the plan would involve cuts to the UAW union at GM that might be unacceptable, and why not try to put together a deal that gave the workers additional pay and benefits, since a labor friendly president was crafting the deal.

To his credit, Rahm notes that the sweetener would if not kill the deal, certainly delay it a Looooong time during a period where the economy is crashing and they felt they needed to take action. So, F the union an get the deal done. But in that one specific scenario.

You could draw a connection to Chicago teachers, but again, I think that it points to merely an ability to call traditional allies to task if the situation warrants it rather than a fully fledged commitment to the wealthy.

I won't address all of your ignorant statements here but would like to explain to you GM is not making a profit. We could have paid each workers job we saved $780,000. Forbes just put out an article GM headed for bankruptcy again.....

Didnt Obama promise that families making less than $250,000 would not see any tax increases?

And then he steamrollered Obamacare through Congress, which increases the $$$ that everyone has to shell out, with a mandatory individual mandate that we pay this money?

The Supreme Court ruled that it is indeed a tax.

The Chief Justice also said that it was not the job of the Supreme Court to protect the people from the consequences of their political choices...

Obamacare is the biggest single tax increase in the entire history of civilization. And couples making less than $250,000 will have to pay it.

Or face the IRS, which will insist they pay it.

So, Obama lied.

I fail to see how obamacare is the single biggest tax increase ever. Almost every American is already exempt from any penalties due to qualifying for Medicare, Tenncare, their employers offer it, or they are too poor to have to pay the tax. The majority of small businesses are too small and are exempt, so the only families that will have to pay the tax are those that don't have insurance through work and make enough money to afford it. Of this group, the data indicates the majority are young adults that don't feel they need insurance.

But what does that have to be with the topic, which is that Obama is secretly anti-union

This is for BOTH parties and the "in-betweeners" so to speak..

How come TRUE issues of this country are never brought into the spotlight, or ever mentioned in the "public eye" ?

Maybe perhaps asking about the REAL national debt and how the Federal Reserve is one of the largest corrupt organizations on the fucking planet? In less than 1 year now, they have only been hemmed up on spending 9 trillion dollars, and thats only what the Bloomberg report could summon up with official statements. It is assumed in just this past year over 30 trillion missing.

I only ask this question, for the simpler question. Why does anything else matter MONEY wise, when you have a cartel of this caliber projecting the nation into complete bankruptcy. If the projected number for JUST this year is correct, it is an amount of money that can never be retained, no matter what bullshit programs are drawn from thin air. Our dollar is beyond search and rescue, it is dead buried and soon to be dug up by the "CSI" of other countries. This is why simple bickering of parties, off throws REAL issues of this country and its severe debt. There is no way around this debt or returning the value of the dollar, its as simple as, when will they announce that the country is bankrupt. That is the only thoughts or questions that either party should be "touching" upon, in my opinion.

Small minded repubtards can't fathom it, they worship wealth, even from the pulpit. It's sickening. Well, when the idiots voted in GW and the towers got hit, it was a way to kill Hussein and four thousand of our own and 100,000 Iraqi citizens at the same time, he doesn't give a shit. That fatass war criminal is sitting fat in Crawford Texas hitting his ho was past the point that it stinks. The congress put two wars ona credit card and handed the American people a 16 trillion dollar debt that they blame on Obama. Shrewd and constant and totally transparent. Stupid people can't see thru it. FOX NEWS has stupid people in the middle class thinking that the poor people have all the money...go figure...republocans ruined this nation, but then again, that's their aim.

Good thing your "side" is so peaceful correct? Either your trying to get simple politics flared back up again or simply cannot relate to their being larger problems than donkeys vs elephants.

We are a dead broke nation that is NOT a super power anymore, sadly though, the majority of the country has the illusion that we are not only a super power but THE super power.

That is a once upon a time story if there ever was one. Unless magically we all can see past the shitstorm of social belonging, politics, corruption, and the illusion of having "control". This will never happen with politics getting in the way, first of all. Political affiliations is destroying many aspects of human relations, and letting the real problems slip away under the radar.
