I would not take my dog to a salon that Brenda owns. She has a long tongue and gossips about her customers. The uncleanliness is horrific and she had nicked my dogs everytime. I do not recommend her to anyone. She is not a animal lover and it is apparent when you pick up your baby---she always is scared and anxious.

I quit taking my dog there years ago when I noticed an index card with colored dots on it. The dots were for different things like dog will bite, etc.. What I didn't like was the one that said "Owner tips". So I assume that means your dog gets special treatment if they know you will pay extra...

I would think any pet groomer would want to have "dots" to be aware if a dog bites! And I have always tipped Brenda and a few others because they have always done a wonderful job grooming my dogs! I thought everyone knew to tip your pet groomers if they do a good job. I tip a waiter if they do a good job or a hairstylist if they do! That's just common courtesy! I think the place is very clean, considering they CLEAN UP DIRTY DOGS! I've been in there right before closing and they are always cleaning up. My dog is very much loved by our family and I would not even consider taking her anywhere else in Johnson City. I know of some places that will not let you see them grooming your dogs! They are always out in plain view! I give personal touch an A+ they are wonderful!

Took my puppy there for the first time. Told them i wanted just a trim and they completely shaved him!!! I am not happy that i had to pay 40 dollars for them to do the oppisite of what i told them. The front desk lady was sarcastically rude, acted like everyone who came in was a bother to her. I should have known when i walked in and there was hair all over the lobby that i should have walked out. Disgusting. My dogs specialy made collar was thrown on the dirty floor with all kinds of diffrrent dogs hair over it.

Had my cats' nails trimmed (not an easy task especially with one difficult kitty). I am pleased with the groomer's excellent handling. The groomer knew exactly what to do to calm the cats. Staff was friendly, helpful, and professional. The price is very reasonable.

My dog is always treated very well by the groomers at personal touch. He always comes out looking beautiful. Brenda is a little hard to warm up to but once you get to know her she is very nice. She is kind and attentive to the dogs.

I would recommend Linda Frei, at Cherokee Springs Dog Grooming in Laurel Bloomery. I had had a bad experience with another groomer, out of the area, and finding Miss Linda is a godsend. She is an animal lover, so gentle, and kind to my "baby".

Go in there, tap your foot three times, wink twice then clear your throat.

That is like expecting to have to tip your school teachers or daycare workers in order for them to treat your children well.

I have a large dog so naturally I pay more... I have a newfoundland. We had been there several times but I noticed my dog started to refuse to get out of the car when we got there.. the last time I went in the front desk lady was rude, rolled her eyes and acted like I was being over protective because I am sure to remind them my dog has a bad hip..she has hip dysplasia and you have to be gentle with her. Then we went to the kennels to put her inside to wait her turn... I had to go with her because strangely she wouldn't go with the rude twit that sits up front...I then witnessed her shove my 110 pound dog to get her in a kennel then acted as though she was disgusted with having to work...I mean literally push and shove...and she yelled at my dog...yelled at MY DOG right in front of me! I pay well and tip well but that day I had a bad feeling ... I should have said many choice words that day but thought no..they are professionals ... they know what to do ... maybe she was having a bad day...I warned them about her hip...it should be fine... i am paranoid... these people gave to live dogs right?...Wrong! That evening I picked up my dog...her cut looked ok. I paid and loaded up my dog which struggled.. I thought hmmm...when we got home she could barely walk I had to call the vet and bring her in and they gave her pain medication.. they were rough with her... I should have said plenty at that point... now my dog is afraid to get in the bathtub ..which never was and issue before... she will snap if you try to put her in the tub... so now I have to muzzle her just to give her a bath which I never had to do before that day... I think they mistreated my dog.. I can't prove it from other than what I saw and how my dog acted but I would never recommend anyone take their dog there...and I would tell those "people" now exactly what I thought... in fact it was all I could do to keep my husband from going down there and threatening them... break one of their hips and throw em' around and see how they like it! But he didn't... I don't want him to go to jail. I can say this they will never get my money again or anyone else's that I know. I regret taking our beloved dog there... i hope no one ever has to feel regret like i have for leaving her when my gut said hell no and she was not in a good place.. our dog is like our child we love her dearly maybe we are overboard...but after hearing what i have said make your own decision.

I am relieved to hear that I am not the only one who found the lady at the front desk to be rude. She was always very condescending to me. My dog also has anxiety now concerning being brushed, shaved, and bathed. I don't know if it had to do with the treatment received at Personal Touch. However, my business has since been directed elsewhere. I'm not going to pay them for services that my dog can receive elsewhere from people who are much kinder to both of us.

We have a Russian Blue that we have taken to Personal touch for 2 years, 3 to 4 times a year to be shaved back. This time for some reason they had to call an hour after we dropped him off to see what we wanted done, again these same people have done this cat for over 2 years. At 1;30 we went to pick him up as his appt was for 10AM they called at 10:45 to ask how do you want him done. Arriving at 1:45 to get him he is sitting in his carrier exactly where I left him. The owner says he is being done, even though I see him sitting in carrier. She then states well I don't know what my groomers are doing. In the meantime, my cat is Un-cut had not been removed from carrier, had not been given water had not been attended to at all. THIS IS BEYOND UNACCEPTABLE. TO LEAVE A CAT IN A CARRIER WITH NO ACCESS TO WATER OR A LITTER BOX FOR OVER 3 HOURS. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE THEY APPARENTLY HAVE NO COMPASSION OR COMMON SENSE, or both.
