I am going to buy a Koran and take it to David Crocket High School and demand that they teach the historical significance of Islam and make sure that Islam has the same amount of time in the classroom as the Christian religion. If they allow it then I will buy the Satanic Bible and make them teach a class on Satanism. Then Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism and so on until they refuse. When they refuse the first religion I will be a happy man. Just saying allowing a particular religion into the school has opened Pandora's box.
hey there. It has to be American History. Idiot.

In that case, they should teach how Deism affected the founding of the country, as many of the founders, including the author of the constitution, were Deists. Also, how Masonic teachings impacted the founding fathers beliefs.

Not teaching Ten Commandment just allows teachers to display any historical documents.

Does this mean that Koran scriptures can be displayed too? Why display something like the ten commandments that is as mythical Lord of the Rings?

Oh American History. Then let's keep the constitution in mind and let the schools educate. Let's keep the teachings of religion to the church. I do not want Pandora's box opened and my children exposed to the teachings of Islam. If you think this is not possible than you are sadly mistaken. Freedom of religion will allow all religions the same amount of classroom time. Keep pushing the proverbial envelope and you will see the unintended consequences.

Do you know what is IRONIC about this whole thing, Patrick is right--if we let public school teach the 10 commandments to our kids in school or anything about Christianity we are opening the door for the religion to poorly interpreted, bastardized, and perverted by public secular sphere. Please read James Madison, a deeply religious man, but also a huge supporter of keeping state and government separated. I have pastored in a Baptist Church for 22 years and have learned the church should stay out of school and school should stay out of church. Amen
You ought to know. I choose who talks to my children about Our father. Sadly, in the 6th grade on Friday afternoon , a woman came from the church and read from a children's bibke. It was wonderful and had a great affect. Peter wasted lots of time in his early ministry. Choose your battles. Make them good one . Save a soul, don't win an argument.

These men are attention getters and not believers. They are self-serving .

Ron Ramsey goes to church, who cares. He takes money from drug dealers. That a lot different than tax collectors.

Im a numbers man . 90% of the saved were saved before the age of 19.

But not by a poster. A David Hammond is a turnoff to youngsters and an agent of satan,

We have the worst leadership in America in upper East Tennessee. Haven't met a good one yet. All attention grabbers.

God should be put back into schools. I have been to board meetings and I think that only a few board members are God fearing men. I don't think Dykes is a Godly man. I just get a bad vib from him. Hammons is a man of God. God is ruler and king of all things.

You're a smart guy. I've been saying it for years. If you don't mind, I'd like to ad this to your considerations. You used the term "un intended consequences"........ WHAT IF THEY WERENT SO UNINTENDED?

In the end days, men like these will be wolves in sheeps clothing. What they do on the outside does not match what's on the inside. Don't be fooled by the one who does these things in public ....Christ himself talked about the Ron Ramsey's and this guy here. They're not real. In other words they do not know The Lord. The want the commandments in for the VERY purpose of opening up thenpandoras box and anyone who opposes them appears to be "unchristian"..... Satan plays chess.

Arms yourselves and your family. The tea party will form a murderous army and use fix news as their propaganda station, they will kill us (Christians and they will turn on the Jews, they already hate Hollywood.mit has begun.

God dwells in the hearts of men, not in buildings. Like my daddy said, as long as there are math tests, there will be prayer in school.
