Cupp is a jerk if he has a bad day and complains from the bench about his case load and the citizens he sits in judgement of. If he begins his session complaining and you happen to be a defendant that day hopefully your case will be continued. If not get ready for a guilty verdict. Go for a jury trial in his court because he is not fair in his rulings.

ALL THE COMMENTS POSTED ABOVE ARE ABSOLUTELY TRUE..JUDGE CUPP IS DEFINATELY NOT A FAIR JUDGE AND MOST ALL PEOPL THAT GO IN FRONY HIM GET A GUILY VERDICT AND ITS REDICULUS!!! I WAS ACTUALLY IN COURTROOM ONE DAY AND WATCHED A LADY WITH 4 FELONY CHARGES GET RELEASED FROM JAIL BECAUSE SHE TOLD THE JUDGE SHE NEEDED TO GO HOME AND TAKE CARE OF HER CAT AND HE RELASED HER BUT ANOTHER PERSON THAT WENT IN FRONT OF HIM HAD WROTE A BAD CHECK AND JUDGE CUPP IMMEDIATELY HAD THE PERSON ARRESTED IN COURT AND THE PERSON HAD A CHILD AND A DISABLED MOTHER TO CARE FOR AND TOLD HIM THIS AND HE TOLD THE PERSON SIT DOWN SHUT UP YOU ARE GOING TO JAIL SO I GUESS A LADY WITH FELONY CHARGES WAS OK TO BE RELASED TO TAKE CARE OF HER CATS BUT NOT A PERSON WITH A CHILD AND A DISABLED MOTHER....HE IS A LOW LIFE PRICK FOR A JUDGE AND A SORRY EXCUSE FOR A HUMAN!!!!

What were you doing in court, just hanging around or were you a defendant? There has to be more to your story than you are telling. Can any of you people give some examples and back it up? Sounds like the judge may have thrown the book at you and you are all just sore over it.

You want proof well hows this; how can a person who was found guilty (they admitted they were guilty) of theft of over 160,000.00 dollars ONLY get six months in jail. Yep that's right they only got a six month sentence of a eight year suspended sentence, then they didn't have to serve it all at once just thirty days a year til sentence is completed. But will throw the book at a lesser charged person. Guess who the judge was that's right Mr Cupp, now that's a sorry excuse for a judge!!!!!!!!!!

I have been hearing there is something wrong with his mind. Man, I'm glad I don't have to deal with someone in that position. Folks need to make this a National Issue. Get it to O'Rielly factor or one of the National News or this guy will ruin many lifes

All the above is true Cupp is a jerk. He treats everyone like they are beneath him. Remember when he ordered the DA to be in his court and explain himself, Clark told him no, and never went to court and explain anything. He gets my vote just for standing up to that power hungry nut. Don't know who will take his place but, doesn't matter he will be gone, and the system will be better off

Stay out of trouble and you won't have to face him. I have served jury duty twice in his court and he seems to be a very confident and reasonable judge. Like I said, behave and you will never have to find out.I know for a fact that he wasn't born into the job out of well to do parents and such. He worked hard menial jobs just as many of us do to achieve his position.

It would be hard to explain in a couple of paragraphs about sentencing guidelines. Personally I think someone who steals $160,000 should be locked up until it's paid back and if it is never paid back they should never be released. But...a judge can't legally do that!
I have not seen Bob Cupp since 2003, but I knew him for over 20 years. I can tell you this - he's a very intelligent and fair person. He can be compassionate but he can be very tough. No judge can please everyone. it's not possible.

I guess he turned into a major ass in the past eleven years since you last saw him. It's sad when someone doesn't know when to quit.

Dear jury, I have a news flash for you. I can tell by the text you are the type that thing just because you end up in front of a judge you are guilty. Take a probs and stats class and you will learn based on the mathematical stats that half the people in jail are not guilty. I will post this again half the people in jail are innocent. This is the same stats used daily and there is a 3% margin of error in both directions. Remember that when you get accused of something and have to go in front of a dictator like Cupp. I'll tell you like a Professor told me once "don't be so na´ve" .

You're sarcasm is funny, but let me tell you from some of the threads I have read. The "Big Gulp" will duly be smoking a turd in hell when his time is done. I've seen him in action and go to one of his courts, these folks posting are right, there is something wrong with his mind. There is only one God and vengeance will be his when you are judged for final and last day, would you want to change places with the "Big Gulp"?

I think the word you are looking for is corruption. And yes he has the reputation for being partial when money is involved. I'm not implying anything on the Judges taking bribes I want to make that clear, but there is a difference in affluence and influence. I would not be surprised at this point of any corruption in Washington County, it has had the reputation for being corrupt for many years. And certain judges have had the reputation for being perverts but you know how rumors get started.

"There are lies, damned lies, and statistics." Ask most convicts in jail and they will tell you they are ALL innocent. That's why we have jurors and lawyers. If you happen to get in trouble, hire your professor to represent you and demand a calculator to be used as evidence. The strength of statistics is on your side! Remember, statistics play an important role in genetics also. For instance, statistics prove that numbers of offspring is an inherited trait. If your parent didn't have any kids, odds are you won't either.
