They have a high staff turnover, so it's probably a crap place to work.

It's known for being a place with a lot of drugs and high expectations. They will can you if you don't meet their goals.

I worked there for a little while. I had a number of years of working the phones in call centers and ACT is by far the WORST place I have ever worked. I hated every minute of it. If you are going to start working there, do yourself a favor and keep looking. McDonalds would be a better choice. If you havnt started yet then DONT DO IT!!!!!! And Im not a disgruntled employee. I quit. They call me about once a month to come back but theres no way. I would clean toilets before I would go back to ACT. ACT should stand for"Agonizing Call Center Torture!

Its not as bad as some make it out to be. It's no different than any other place of work, there's gonna be crap to deal with. Go in there and do your job and you make decent money, they offer bonuses and depending on your, dept you can get some good overtime.

I also worked there for a short time. They do have a high turnover rate and treat their employees like crap. Go to www.jobvent.com and look them up, I think they are listed as Advanced Call Technologies.

If you choose to work there, you can probably get a few paychecks before you quit or get fired.

I'm working there right now going thru training so it isn't too bad besides working 3:45-midnight. I'm a morning person night a night person. So far it's alright because I'm in training and not doing anthing. I hear they basically make u do overtime which is lame. I wanna work but no more than 40hrs I'm going to college as well so it's hard to juggle everything. I'm hoping to hear from any job soon. I'll take a fast food place over this place any day.

Wow that sounds terrible! Is it really that bad? Is it actually just minimum wage? I had heard it was like $8.50/hr (not much better I know). I just need a job badly, and heard they're easy to get on with.

It blows. I did the AT&T stuff, but I worked on the BoA side for a little while to get extra hours. The collections is way easier, but holy crap, that job sucks ass.

ACT does NOT work around your schedule. When you apply they ask you what shifts you're not available to work and if you require to have any days off in the first 90 days (dr. appts, vacation, etc.) and if you dont answer "any shift" or "I'm free anytime" they wont hire you. They do reqiure mandatory overtime on short notice. You could be leaving in an hour and they'll tell you you have to stay for another three hours. Through training they pay $7.25/hr but as soon as you get out of training they bump you up to $8.00/hr. Some depts will even cut you a check after you're "certified" and pay you the 75 cents difference you missed through training. Some depts will allow you to work as much overtime as you want. My husband worked there for over a year in BOA collections and was bringing home 1200 dollar checks every two weeks. The thing is, it's a job. I think whether or not you'll enjoy it depends on what dept your in and who your supervisor is. My husband missed 5 days of work, was a no call-no show, and was actually planning on quitting. Then he gets a call saying they're promoting him to supervisor. They have crazy rules and the rules depend on who you work under and if your in close with Scott Fox, Crowe, or Santana.(they're pretty much the top guys) They do do bonuses and incentitives (sp?) If you make it to work everyday without being late, at the end of the month you get an attendence bonus just for showing up. Sometimes they give out hard cash for getting payments if you're in collections. It all depends on what type of work you like. Oh and yes, there are TONS of druggies there. And the only reason they dont drug test anyone is because if they did, they'd have no one left. I know this is long but I hope it helped explain a bit of ACT to those who had questions.

Oh my god I know the end of the world has come now that I have the lowest job I can ever take. I service to illegals who have more credit than any american can get. Illegals who scream and yell demand fraud demand american dollars. now I know why our wonderful america was destroyed close the dam borders. These dam illegals do not have the concept. 15,000 to 100,00 credit cards and they keep on giving out the card to any one on tv or internet call pissed off cause they sign the dam contract. really bullshit put them on a boat and float them the hell out of here. The supervisors are a trip especially the grey haired evil women that bitches every one out. I may be new but I see it what I call it and I am nesting I can not imagine what else goes on on the floor. bank of america is a trip I never seen so much crap in one room. Dam do not use the can it smells like pure un-washed. I never worked in such a nasty enviroment and I worked in a factory before. No excuses BOA needs to get the act together.

I worked for ACT for about 3 month. It is the most stressful job I have ever had. The way they do things is horrible. I started out in BOA mortgage but as soon as i got out of training for it they shut it down. I had to go thru more training for short sale, which was so unorganized.

I worked at ACT for 8 months doing outbound.. ppl were doing drugs on their desks and no one gave a shit... the place is horrible, they DO required overtime on short notice and a lot of time if you dont party with the sups they treat u like shit. Im 26 years old and have a family, I HAD to quit for my family because i never saw them.. if u have a family, go to dial america or somewhere else... DO NOT work at ACT that place WILL drain the life out of you
