This FNP is a joke. He only perscribes morphine, or the latest drugs out, that are not generic. He must get a kick back from drug reps or companies.

He never listens to his patients. He has absolutely no concern in helpin you deal with you pain than the man in the moon.

My husband who is in 60's, not a drug addict has been seeing him for awhile because he is local. But, he stays in pain. It is pathetic to see a pain management dr and still have this much pain... This dr will not listen, is very rude, talks down to him. I hate him ansd I hope I can stop anyone thinkin of goin there. HE DOES NOT IN ANYWAY CARE TO HELP HIS PATIENTS,,,,ONLY IN IT FOR THE MONEy!!!!!!!!!!

What did Ben do have your husband bring his pain meds in on his appointment ? I know a lot of people that go now or have went there and none have got morphine . You might be mad because Ben counts his patients pills , that I know for a fact .Did your husband came up short on his pills make you mad ? My guess is someone close to your husband might be taking his meds and got caught .

I think sometimes there's confusion with patients of the role of the doctor and the role of the patient. If your husbands pain is so bad he's been prescribed morphine, that's saying a lot in the state of Tennessee. I hope he finds a doctor he's satisfied with soon. Bashing his previous doctor really isn't gonna do you any good. All that will come of this thread is a scenario I spoke of above. Pill heads will now ask for him by name now that you've let the cat out of the bag. He will in turn receive more business and make more money.

My best friend has been going there for a long time and is always in pain and has'nt been able to sleep many nights and he never gave her anything stronger than what he had her on that did'nt help her very much . She is in constant pain most of the time . If someone is trying to feed their addiction going there wont work .

Hopefully they'll read your comment here and not try. Doctors in TN are between a rock and a hard place prescribing narcotics now. Too many people use them as added income. It's too bad your friend has to suffer because of it. Hopefully as time goes on they'll be able to find a proper way to manage her pain. I hate to hear stories of people suffering.

at-home, Know one is stealing his meds. And he has never failed a drug test or a piil count. So you and Cheese Puff are so missing my point. What I am saying is you go to Pain Clinic because you have pain. They are suppose to help you and work with you to make you have as pain-free life as possible. This man dont listen period.

He stil is in EXTREME PAIN, Have you all ever had or lived with someone that lives this way. IT is no fun, and I dont wish it on anyway. My husband and I would love for him to never need a pain pill. But thats not gonna happen, so it would be nice to have a sympathetic DR that will treat you to the best of there ability! THATS MY POINT!!!!

I will answer your question as best I cam . I have had several back surgerys also many shots directly in my spine and shoulder over the years and can hardly get around now . My wife has put up with me being in constent pain for months at a time and took the care of me being up alnight , getting me ice packs , tens units now its my turn to take care of her if I can . She is going throwgh a lot of the same things I go through and she is also in pain most of the time She has had all the shots in her neck and spinet that they allow . The only thing left for her is several surgeries . She is up late almost everynight trying to ease the pain. I think you should seek another doctor as my wife has .Sshe still goes to Ben but she will have surgeries soon . I wife and I both know how bad pain can be and I hope you find something that will help your husbands pain . Goodluck to both of you

I too am married to someone with chronic pain, and know the emotional toll it takes on a marriage. My spouse is now treated for depression and anxiety, because someone hit him head on and left him permanently disabled. My husband is lucky to be alive, but has also endured multiple surgeries, a severe limp, chronic pain, and met with a Nurse Practitioner today, who prescribed him Lyrica. I understand people who think someone may have come up short on a pill count, but let me tell you, I have worked in a detox unit as a substance abuse counselor, so I was always cautious with my husband's treatment and care. I encouraged him to follow up with a pain management clinic, so he might experience a life with only moderate in lieu of severe pain, and again have feelings of hope. Ben Meeks, does not have the ability to provide the needs of my husband. He isn't qualified and didn't deserve the amount of money my insurance paid out today. Yes, I work everyday, in a profession that serves our substance abuse and mental health population. AND, by the way, my husband is a veteran of the Iraq war--he served his country and worked up until the day a man took his ability to do so. Do not go to this clinic. Do not let Ben Meeks treat anyone you care about.
