The “Million Veteran March” has come to Washington D.C. to protest the closing of the monuments dedicated to their honor and sacrifice. Many have theorized that the monuments were barricaded merely to heighten the pain of the government shutdown by the Obama administration, but the vets made short work of the closings.

Somewhere along the line, the media is exaggerating. From the pics on the link, I don't see a million or even a thousand people protesting. Regardless of who's to blame for the shutdown the media is having at with with half truths.

That's what a man like Ted Cruz has the ability to do. And people are actually stupid enough to follow him. I'd punch his wife in the face, then opolgize and pinch him on the gut.

It was yet another tea party lie like the ones Ron Ramsey survives on. How can you people stand to bed led by such a withering little worm.????

Honestly, my estimation is that the tri cities has about 80% almost dumb beyond belief people.

Ted Cruz is a roaring idiot and so is Ron Ramsey. How can you people fall for people who are that stupid.

You were talking good sense until you went off on the tri cities citizens. We are no more or no less ignorant than the rest of the country. One thing for sure, you won't score any points trying to insult and talk down to us. You are always welcome to leave and not come back. Which ever side you decide to align with, keep in mind that you are being shucked and jived either way. It has nothing to do with your locale. You'd be an ass wherever you went.

What country do you live in? The United States has a president, and even though I didn't vote for him, I do respect the office. Just sick and tired of the tea party idiots and the games they are playing with the lives of some of my friends.

I am also a proud veteran, however, I would be more comfortable with this demonstration if it wasn't a clear media opportunity for the hard right. I mean, was it just coincidence that Ted Cruz and Sarah Palin showed up and the anti-Obama signs were everywhere?

Was it just coincidence that Nancy Pelosi showed up when the illegal immigrants had unfettered access to your memorial and you didn't?

Has nothing to do with what I posted. If I wanted to go I would go, however, I wouldn't let myself be used as a poster child for any of these congressional hooligans.

You would punch his wife in the face, yet you think you are the smart one in Johnson City? You're a real man there Yep. I'll give you my estimation ... my estimation that you are a beer drinking redneck blaming all your ills in life on somebody else. Poor you!

Watch out who you punch in the face or the gut, you might just get one back that hurts you a lot worse than yours hurt them. Your childish threats are proof you are the ignorant one and you are more than welcome to leave the Tri-Cities. You are a disgrace to Johnson City.

Firstly, the Tea Party isnt the "Hard Right". They are just basically Reagan Republicans, for the most part.

If Ted Cruz attends a veterans rally to protest the Obama decision to selectively and unfairly shut down the WWII memorial park, while letting the illegals demonstrate in another park, then that isnt anything but what the vast majority of Americans think is right.

Other than the Tea Party, the GOP mainstream establishment bureaucrats wont stand up for anything.

So the Tea Party is just giving a voice to the many millions of Reagan Republicans in America that are ignored and attacked by the mainstream leftist media, and the establishment GOP, and their pet media (Fox News).

But, it is Ted Cruz and the few like him, that actually speaks for the half of America that considers itself conservatives.

The rest of Congress has about a 5% approval rating by the latest polls.

And that means that most conservatives are pretty fed up by the mainstream GOP always caving in to Obama, like the republicans in the Senate are doing right now.

So, leave Ted alone. If he speaks for half the nation, and only a tiny minority (the media talking heads and mainstream GOP establishment bureaucrats) are joining the liberal democrats in attacking him, then they are the ones who are out of touch with America.

Thats probably why they have a 5% approval rating from the American people, dont ya think?

My Gosh, folks! Most of you are going off on tangents and half assed information. Chill out! There's so much polarizing before the facts that it is ridiculous. Face the facts, we are hearing only what we want to hear. After all is said and done, it will pass and both sides will be so hard hearted that they won't consider it as only a flash in the pan and will hold grudges with no real reason. "Tea Party, Liberals, Democrats, Republicans, Semi this or that, hoodwinked, Fox News, CBS, NBC, CNN", etc.- buzzwords to keep us all at odds. This stuff has been run into the ground. So many ifs for people with false senses of premonition and woe begone. Hush up, let it play out and dance with itself for a while. I think in the long run we will all realize most of these predictions and boogieman threats are all in our imaginations. Notice the big thing a few weeks ago was Syria.........now it's old hat and forgotten. Before that it was Trayvon and Zimmerman. All long gone as morbid entertainment. On the bright side, the tv station MeTV has some good old shows with no political affiliation! Settle down and watch it and relax your worried minds.
Don't be a stooge and get too wrapped up in this dialogue. It will all come to pass. I'm not trying to belittle or insult anyone, I'm just saying we are all guilty of going off the deep end from time to time. That's not being happy!

And I cant really be mad at you any more. I realized a while back that you arent capable of a reply that holds any logic.

Just a one liner insult. Thats about the best that you can do, as is the case with most Obama supporters.

Oh well, Im getting used to the idea that Americans arent as smart or as logical as they used to be since the liberal "dumbing down" job they did in our schools, and on pop TV shows.

I may as well get used to being surrounded by liberal, "low information" voters. I suppose we will just have to make the best of it.

So...How are you this morning? Did you have a good breakfast and eat well?

I think this is so awesome. I am loving it. Ugly, messy government! Its about time we had two parties for a change instead of the fascist dictators called Democrats.

You do realize the Tea Party members only number about 80 out of all the 525 congressmen? You give them way to much credit. But you ain't seen nothing yet.

The small number of Tea Party guys made the whole world revolve around them for two weeks.

While the Washington elitist Republicrats wet themselves and looked for 100 different ways to surrender without a fight.

Just look at what Corker and Alexander did (along with the other GOP RINOS)

Instead of fighting the democrats, they stabbed the Tea Party Republicans in the back!

(And voted to protect Obamacare at the same time)

It sort of like the Vietnam War, where our troops had to worry about our "allies" in the ARVN (South Vietnamese Army) shooting them in the back!

America will never get back to sensible government, until we first throw out the Washington elitist in the GOP (especially the Senate) and elect some Senators with some "Fire in the Belly".

And wont vote with the Democrats, or stab the real Republicans in the back like Alexander and Corker do all the time.

And now those two are actually writing (as part of the gang of eight) a whole new Liberal nightmare law they are passing off as immigration reform!

There needs to be a method of recall elections, so the voters of Tennessee can oust these nimrods before they do any more harm to America.
Wondering

Why do you post to your self? You say nothing but the same old propaganda BS everywhere you go, Ted Cruz and his followers only wants their names and faces in the news so they can get rich, he's just another Sara Palin in pants, following the money, he needs to go back to Canada where he was born.
