This may well be off topic, but does anyone have any information regarding the old flooded rock quarry near Happy Valley? It is near the old ETWNC railroad tracks. Years ago, I spent many a summer day there with childhood friends, fishing and scouting the place, acting like a pioneer. I cannot find any information online of it, other than it was a limestone lode that was transported by the ETWNC railroad. I know for a fact an alligator was caught there on a Zebco rod and reel! Seems a kid set a pet loose there and it was reeled in by a kid with the last name "Hilton". If anyone can give me the history of this quarry, it will be appreciated. Local folklore tells me of many strange happenings there. If any of this rings a bell, please post!
