Verizon Wireless Rip off

Am I the only one getting screw by Verizon wireless with the bills? I know 6 people already woth bills over $3000. They just send me one for $5247. I upgraded my 2 year old phone and they want to charged me full retail price ($599.00) for the phone WKOS is this in addition the charged me for unreturned equipments ( my 2 year old phone ) Im taking this blood suckers to court. Im not paying that. Verizon customers run while you can.

Let everyone know how this goes & exactly why Verizon billed you this amount. Sounds like there is more to the story, but could be wrong as business morals seem to be at an all time low! Good Luck.

Have you called them and asked what the additional charges are? I have been with Verizon for about 10 years and have never had an issue. Going to the store is a challenge sometimes but usually the Customer Service line is great. Maybe you have internet charges with your new phone. Alot of times when you upgrade some companies don't tell you that you need to get unlimited internet. Especially with the smart phones because they are constantly running. Just call them and have them go over your bill with you and anything you aren't sure about. Usually if you bitch enough they will get you to the point that you both are satisfied.

I tried them a couple of years ago. They gave us a price. Within two weeks we were sent notices that our price had changed. This happened 3 times. Our price had doubled what we were quoted at first. We finally got out of the conract. File a complaint with the FCC.

Ditch ALL contract phone companies and go with a flat rate prepaid service. No bill surprises, no worries.

Verizon is the worst one of them all. RIDICULOUS pricing! They are making a fortune off of those who stay with them.

Ive been with Verizon and never had a problem but I do think i could do better than $70 a month for only talk and text, no internet. My problem is finding a decent phone that works between Eliz and Unicoi where I work and isn't a piece of crap. I dont even really care about having internet on my phone but all prepaid plans seems to be alot less than what Im paying now and I hate to leave my ENV3 phone which i really like.

I am with sprint right now and they seen pretty decent i have 3 smart phones on their everything data plan for 180 a month. Fcc complaint has been filed.

So glad I read above posts Verizon wireless is what gets signal where I live, but they've falsified charges (equipment) on my bill .... I have paid them $1750.00 since 1-9-12 IDIOT should be across my forehead I've got 2 smartphones droid&iphone unlimited plans , data plans and one line for INTERNET USB modem!!! I feel punished after loosing alltel I hope God 4 gives me for The hard feelings I felt reading "Verizon employes" post how much did they pay for u to lie lime that ????? Bitch enough I've spent at least 24 hrs w customer serv who all lie and make my life miserable!!! I pray for GSM tower soon when it happens I'll leave Vzw out to dry like they do HUMAN BEINGS!!!! I wonder if their corporates in charge would even bleed if poked? SERIOUSLY I WONDER HOW ANY VZW EMPLOYEE ON ANY LEVEL SLEEPS AT NIGHT?????

I will need to figure out where ti een begin , but my husband and I are gonna file FCC Complaint too eventually they'll Have to get right or get out!!!! Out of business that is I can't believe they hadn't been penalized more than what they have!!! But it's coming and when Vzw has to give minimum 3 months free service to customers I'll feel the system worked!!! Afterall this is USA these communist at Verizon will have to conform!

Verizon is a scam company. Their customer service reps are trained to lie and nothing else. I had a Jet Pack device that broke. I called the blood suckers Verizon to replace it they wanted $300 to replace. I decided to cancel since the termination fee is about the same. One of the well trained liars agent talked me into upgrading to a glaxy 4 and it would cheaper and better. Stupid me got convinced with the scam because he said he would not charge me the termination fee. 2 months later. I received a bill for $300. I called them and they said that they see the note on the acct and it will be removed within 24 to 48 hrs. Waited 48 hours the charges were still on my verizon portal. I called again they said that I owe the amount minus $14 adjustment. I complained they transffered me to a different department which gave a long story that 197 of the amount were charges for the month after I upgraded which to me is false charges. But they would not take no for an answer so I paid the 197. They said they would take the 111 charge off since the acct was canceled. They never did. I keep calling them and no good answer and no one knows whats going on.
What Verizon does not know is for being greedy over $300 they screwed with the wrong person. I already contacted a lawyer. Complained the Fcc and they lost a potential multi million account from the company that I own.
Thank you verizon for the lesson you taught me to never deal with you.

Know what ? The world got along fine without cell phones for millions of years. I looked at mine one day, decided 60 bucks/mo to make a few phone calls while I was out from home was simply ridiculous.

Dumped the phone, dumped the phone company, and don't miss it a bit.

99% of the text and talk on phones is totally useless crap.

Free yourself.......or keep letting them stick it up your asses.

I wish I could but my employer requires me to be on call 24 hours a day. They do not furnish a phone so I guess I am being forcibly fondled.

Then you have an economic reason for keeping a cell phone.....and a tax deduction as well if required by your employer. REALLY, I'd be having a talk with them about that 24/hr requirement and them not paying for it.....you're subsidizing their business model.

But a WHOLE lot of folks simply have them for the stupid reasons that Sprint commercial shows James Earl Jones (black guy) and Malcolm McDowell (white guy), making fun of the idiot texts that people send back and forth. Sprint apparently doesn't think ( probably quite correctly ) that their users can recognize when they are the subject of a joke.

I couldn't agree with you more! After my divorce I was really financially strapped & couldn't even afford cable. Now, for the difference I'm saving with Straight Talk v Verizon I can have cable again. The next rip off is when you realize you can't take your Verizon smartphone & have to buy a new one. I'm putting old phone on eBay & upgrading equipment. After buying a new phone is factored in, I will be saving at least $50/month! I've not had a single problem with my service either :)
