Here's the long and short of it - Americans don't get told by their government what to buy or not buy. That was one of the main points the patriots fought for way back in the 1700's.(Remember the Stamp Act?) Lindsey might as well put out her hands and say "Slap on the shackles." People who support the You-Will-Afford-It-Or-Else Healthcare Act choose to remain ignorant of history, and are therefore doomed to repeat it! The rest of us are fighting tooth-and-nail to hang on to our rights, while they are ready to trade the birthright they received at the cost of others' blood in exchange for a government program that gives them something for nothing.

The CEO of Hobby Lobby has a right to refuse to pay for something with which he does not agree. It's called freedom. Get used to it! If you don't like it, you have the right to not work for him and to not buy from him. That's called capitalism. Last I checked our nation was supposed to embrace these two concepts.

I stand with the CEO and Hobby Lobby Corp. I am glad someone is willing to sacrifice based on principle instead of whining based on pocketbook. So I say to Lindsey: Grow up! Give the man the same rights you claim when you choose not to buy at his store - the right to not spend your money where you don't want to spend it.

The professional educrats have spent decades destroying education. Thank God somebody is trying to bring the self-serving parasites to heal.

What have Gov. Haslam and commissioner Huffman done in the state of Tenn. to improve education? All I read about is both trying to divert money for public schools to fund their pet charter schools. Not to mention their investment in testing companies that encourage more testing than learning! Haslam has tried to reduce teacher's salaries by not paying them for advanced degrees or experience. Now he's done an about face and wants to increase teacher's salaries. Someone must have reminded him that next year there's an election! It will be interesting to see how he can court both educators and public education hating tea party people!

Yeah, and he pushed that "Common Core" crap, which is just streamlining the PC indoctrination process the country is suffering under.

Im a republican, but I cant see any reason for us republicans to support Haslam again. Hes far too liberal for our taste.

I wish we had a guy like Ned Ray Mcquerter back. At least he sort of left everybody alone, and didnt push "Common Core" crap down our throats.

He is complying. He see the law as unacceptable and is legally dealing with his beliefs by shutting down. God Bless him. Lots of businesses refuse to be bankrupted for political correctness. Lots of union idiots and low rent employees going to go part time or lose their jobs because of the something for nothing crowd. How's that Hope and Change working out for you idiots.

So spending money on charter schools which have an outstanding record of teaching children failed by the system is a bad idea? You must be a union educrat parasite. Let's really worry about the kids for a change instead of the proponents of a failed "education" system.

As a point of fact I didn't call teachers parasites. I called educrats parasites. I hope you live long enough to understand the difference and that difference is why the education system is failing our kids.

See how the tea party platform parallels the nazi party

F the tea party and I have to say that nothing would make my Christmas any happier than to learn that Ron Ramsey had developed pancreatic cancer. I love my country.
