While Diamond Exhange on Facebook has encouraged people to get out and risk lives and cars while risking their employees lives for a dollar. Dempseys Jewelers thought the safety of thier employees and customers were more important than profit. Dempseys also does not sale the jewelry bought off the streets as Diamond Exchange does.
Make sure to ask whether jewelry is new.

When my jwelry was stolen Dempseys cooperated. Diamond exchange bought many stolen goods and put them in cases. funny Iwas always told they do not resale used jewelry but I think they are under new ownership because of the people are not same ones from Market street store where more professional yrs ago.

I've done business with the owner for over 10 years, and he's still the guy I do business with today. I can't see them selling anything under false pretenses, they're as honest of people over there as I've ever seen. You sound like you are very hurt for some reason. If you have a problem with them, maybe you should go talk to them instead of posting on a forum.

Never dealt with them but my neighbor had several items stolen from a family member over a period of time. three of the pieces stolen were custom made. When she asked a guy named Trey what happen with bought jewelry he stated it was all scrapped out regardless of shape. He blatantly lied because several of those pieces were for sale in showcase and she called them on that. After talking to authorities which is a matter of public record diamond exchange had no alternative but to turn it over. When another gentleman who works there part time was asked about selling used jewelry he stated they did at times. So who is telling the truth. I work with another gentleman who said he sold a custom mens ring -he wanted to keep the stones but was told there was a charge to get them back even though the ring was going to be destroyed anyway(makes no sense to him until his wife saw ring in showcase for sale)Does make me wonder.

My wife one of diamond exchange fans on facebook but after being treated rudely she removed it. We checked it this afternoon and they were so obvious about seeing these post because all of sudden they were concerned and closing early. Now this after posting on facebook come in for an extra 10% off while local and state police are saying dont be out unless you have to. It is very obvious they did this to correct there ignorant and greedy statment this morning. Thank you Mr. Dempsey for putting the safety of your employees and the public before profit. From the looks of your store website and the number of fans you have God has truly blessed you. Me and my neighbors posting live in north jc dont know why gallatin is showing up.

So first you say "When my jwelry was stolen" and then later say "Never dealt with them" which one is true? And if you "Never dealt with them" it's very impressive that you remember the story so clearly and felt the need to post something so negative about them in the first place.

This whole posting is starting to seem suspicious to me. It seems like somebody has a grudge against Diamond Exchange or somebody that works there, or worse is doing this specifically to promote another business over another.

Its also pretty funny to think that a business would close their doors early just because of a post from an angry person on a forum that most people don't even know exists.

I now see where confusion is my neighbors post is under name victim. I can only say never caught her in a lie.

It's painfully obvious that "victim" and "dont know" are the same person. Both people are listed in Gallatin, TN (you say its a mistake, but what are the odds that two different people's computers would have the same glitch). Also, "victim" and "dont know" apparently monitor Diamond Exchange on Facebook. Both of you can't make a post without telling everyone how Mr. Dempsey is the greatest person since Jesus Christ himself.

I'm not sure if you're a family member of Mr. Dempsey, but you're doing him no favor by coming here and slandering his competition. Even if you are Mr.Dempsey's number one fan and a have not been put up to it in any way by him, it would be easy to think that you are. This does nothing but make him look bad, even if he has nothing to do with it.

So with this reasoning every post from Jonesborough we can assume is the same person?

If Jonesborough, TN was half way across the state like Gallatin is, and every post from Jonesborough on a specific topic said essentially the same thing, yes. It would be extremely easy for me to pretend to be as many people as I want to be... just have to type something different into the name box.

My experience with Dempsey's is not a good one. Years ago my wife took several pieces of jewelry for repair to them. They were ever so nice on that visit. She took a tennis bracelet and several rings to be repaired with the owner's blessings. After repair, one of the rings looked like a blacksmith had a go at,it and after a half-ass repair of the bracelet,he stated that he was having a problem with the bracelet and that after the Christmas rush, he would repair it properly at no charge. Well, lo and behold after the Christmas rush, he reneged and tried to deny his original agreement. Needless to say, we didn't do any further business with them.

Dempseys is an honest and reputable place. They do the work in store and do not send it out as some jewelry stores do.

I have known Dempsey since 1984. I worked for Service Merchandise for many years and come to know him through my employment there. Dempsey done ALL the repair work for them. His work has always been exceptional and I found him to be a very honest man. I am happy to see his business doing so well.

Are you Rob Bowman? Bowman's cut the seat too deep when mounting a diamond for me, and the diamond came out. Pipes had to be taken apart to retrieve the diamond and Dempsey's reset it to perfection I will never go back to Bowman's. Dempsey's is 100% trustworthy and their repair work is exceptional.

No sir, I am not. I'm just a feller who got the shit end of the stick thanks to Dempsey's. Diamonds and jewelry are not my thing, but I know a crook when I see one. I also had a men's gold ring resized there and it had a big ugly blob on it that aggravated the heck out of me. Found out it was a filling of Babbitt, the same stuff used for dirt cheap wheel balancers on a car wheel. Just the facts, Jack.

Well, I'm not making this stuff up. I'm just telling what happened to me. Maybe you have had good luck with them, but I didn't. I won't ever pass thru their doorway again. I don't think I'm the only person who got a bum deal from them. I have no horse in this race, just relating my bad experience with them to anyone who wants to know. Maybe things have changed since then, but I doubt it.
