Look at the plight of the poorest. What right do we have to our "things"? To simplify: "We are all stealing from somebody". The wealthy have stolen the most that is for sure. But, those with just a fully belly have stolen from those who are hungry.

There is such a thing as fairness. Our society has created far too much inequity. Hopefully wealth and opportunity will be redistributed soon.

Anne, you are a social worker. Isn't there somebody in yoru office that councils for money management and setting priorities?
I mean seriously, Tasha owes $5600 in back child support and $4000 in payday loans, yet somehow found the need to have her/his car detailed and still has cable? Tasha will never escape the poverty cycle unless she/he learns to set priorities. You don't buy luxuries like car detailing and cable if you cannot cover the basics.

And you wonder why there is so much outrage.

You begrudge a family cable and a clean car?

Yes...if they can't pay for it.

Compared to many people, my family would be considered well off.

I've never had my car detailed.

I have a very basic cell phone. No smartphone with data package.

I do not have any of teh premium channels in my cable package.

I've never spent more than $20K on a car.

I've never spent over $80 on sneakers for myself or my children.

I don't wear an expensive watch and the only jewelry I wear is my wedding band.

I get my hair cut at a barber shop and pay $12.

I buy my clothes on sales or clearances. Yet I manage to present myself as a professional.

All of these are non essentials. I could afford many of the above, but by spending on these useless and vain items i would not be able to save for my childrens educations, my retirement and take family vacations.

When I found myself out of work three years ago, I cut out all the non necessary spending until my financial situation changed. Thats called being an adult. Being responsible.

Yet you expect me to feel all compassionate for somebody who has a car detailing bill, yet is grossly behind paying for child support?? I'd hate to think what else this person is spending their scant resources on. If you find this acceptable, then you have a mixed up sense of priorities.

Well Josh, you can either choose to live a disciplined life, where goals are set and a level of comfort is achieved or you can chose to live an undisciplined life like yourself, and live with the consequences. The difference is that if I want to go to SF I can go and not beg for money from some little girl to go. You claim to be free...but o don't see much freedom there buddy.

Have you planned your death too. Mr. Money Bags. You are rigid and uptight. You have no discipline. Look at that gut. You do not know consequences yet. Think about eternal damnation. You want comfort. You got it now. Soon you won't be able to get a drop of water. Your life is a drag.

Well..yes. I have planned in the event of my untimely death that my family is cared for. I wouldn't want my wife and kids to be out on the street, cold and hungry. Its called being responsible. I know in your warped world they would be better being left cold, hungry and homeless.

Maybe after you enter into this marriage with Kerri for a free airline ticket to SF, and spawn a child your perspective will change. But you are a narcisist and a hedonist, so i'm guessing you'll ditch Kerri-ditz at the first opportunity.

not cool dude.

Yes, it is true. If we are taking more than you need or have stored or hoarded money or goods you are stealing. The racism on this board is apparent.

The younger people realize that this is true. Older people who benefit the most from this kind of theft wan to keep the current system. Talk radio shows promote the idea that the older citizens deserve their money. When things are equalized the WHOLE planet will be better off.
