My sympathy to this man's family and friends. Especially his daughter who was there when this happened. Nobody should have to go through that.

Such a sad story. I hate that the girl had to watch her daddy get killed. Just awful. i hope this woman rots in a prison cell for a long time. Just left that man on the side of the road. What a tragedy

Seems like the autorities are able to charge citizens pretty quick yet seem to lag when an officer or politician is involved...

I also agree this lady is a loser.

OKAY, WHY DID THIS WOMAN EVEN HAE A BAIL? SHE TOOK A MAN'S LIFE BY RIDICULOUSLY DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE. SHE SHOULD HAVE BEEN HELD WITHOUT BOND. MY PRAYERS GO OUT TO THE DAUGHTER AND FAMILY OF THE VICTIM.

Ironic that the newspaper Katrina Cornwell writes for published a story today about a 19-year-old girl who was sentenced to 9 years in prison for drunken driving/vehicular homicide.

I'm angrier about the fact that she posted bond at 10:15 a.m. Now she's back on the streets!!!!!

I feel ya. What makes me fuming mad is that her employer paid the $60k bail money. What the heck does her employer have to do with her UNLAWFUL behavior that they feel compelled to post her bail? I'm glad I don't live near there because the Gazette wouldn't ever get a dime of my money or attention.

If they support her that much, then until this case is completed, the Gazette should be held financially liable for any wrongdoings she commits.

MY MISTAKE!!!! I missed a vital comma or two--I withdraw my comment about the News Examiner, it appears they DID NOT post her bond. I apologize for my error.=(

I was robbed of a precious friend last night and the world in general lost one of it's greatest people. Killer was always about the other guy and making sure everyone around him was safe and comfortable. I never have known him to do for himself. His joy and I think reward was in the happiness of others. He was a wonderful father, uncle, brother and friend. My life was changed forever by knowing him and experiencing his love and Brotherhood. It has now changed again for I will never be able to get over his loss. Rest in peace Brother. You are and will be sorely missed.

Wonder if her newspaper will cover this story?? And like you, I'm angry as hell that she can make bail and be back out on the streets 10 hours after murdering a man in front of his daughter. This just isn't right.
The more comments I read about him the sadder I am. Even though I didn't know him I can tell how special he was by the things his friends and family say about him. Again I send my sympathy to all who loved him.

That is my Brother in-law that she killed. It does'nt take much imagination to know what I believe she deserves. She killed a great man with a wife and children who loved him very much. He will be missed forever.
