If sexual predator Michael Klunder is responsible for Elizabeth & Lyric's abduction/murder, and I am confident that he is. Imo, the Justice system is complicit in all four of these children's abductions/murders. Everyone involved in MK's release from prison in 2011, should hang their heads in shame, imo...

DAYTON, Iowa (AP)--- When Michael Klunder enticed two girls to enter his pickup truck near a rural Iowa school bus stop Monday, it was at least his third kidnapping in a long criminal history in which he was ordered to receive sex offender treatment as a teenager, according to police.

Even as authorities searched Wednesday for the still missing 15-year-old, residents and some law enforcement officials questioned why the 42-year-old Klunder wasn't locked up in prison or for treatment. In 1991, Klunder kidnapped a 21-year-old woman, who escaped, and later two 3-year-old girls, who were found alive in a garbage bin.

“It's unfortunate, looking at this guy's history, that he was able to walk the streets,” said Bremer County Sheriff Dan Pickett.

imo, the COD for Lizzie & Lyric will be synonymous...
Klunder was incarcerated in Bremer County when he was a teenager. It is rare for a sexual predator to abduct multiple victims at once. There are many indicators that point to Michael Klunder being Lyric & Lizzie's abductor/murderer. How many unknown victims did he have?

MK's MO...Read MK's 1st Victim; Gansen's description of the physical violence that she suffered at the hands of the sadistic monster; Michael Klunder. Multiple bruises and over 100 stitches. A Sadistic Sexual Predator/Serial killer's physical violence and deviant behavior escalates and they hone their evil skills with each innocent victim devoured.

If the 12-year-old Dayton, Iowa, girl had not escaped, predator/sk Michael Klunder, would be hunting his next unsuspecting child in another quiet and friendly community with a false sense of security, imo..
This is why Law Enforcement must share all information with the American Public when a child goes missing, especially when there are indicators of a possible stranger abduction as in Elizabeth Collins, and Lyric Cook's case. The present focus by LE is on prosecution. This priority must be changed, to identifying and locating the predator before other innocent victims are taken...imo

'Tragic Irony'- the two Dayton, Iowa, girls/victims were taken only days before National Missing Children's Day; May 24, 2013 ...

With the info gained by investigators from MJK's timeline, his spouse, other relatives, friends, possible dna & other forensics, It would be reasonable to conclude that a portrait of his dark past is beginning to emerge, imo.

The temporary paper license plate on MJK's red toyota pick up truck leads me to believe that he was up to something; either purchased a new truck recently, lost his old license plate, etc.

In the (LA)Mickey Shunick case, RSO/sexual predator/serial killer Brandon Lavergne, reported his truck stolen, torched it in TX, then bought another identical truck with the insurance money, in a calculated effort to fool LE, friends, & neighbors. An aware citizen/car salesperson alerted LPD to the transaction/ruse.

__________

Police released a photo of Klunder's truck, which had a temporary paper license plate on the back window, a Tommy Lift tailgate and a silver toolbox located on the driver's side. Investigators asked anyone who may have seen the truck Monday to come forward.

Imo, investigators should have known within hours after locating Klunder, whether he was responsible for L & L's abduction & murder. Imo, due to MJK's psychological traits, violent history of sexual assaults of females/children, geographical proximity, and very rare abduction of a pair of child female victims. It should be obvious that MJK is responsible for L & L's abduction/murder, imo. The larger question, imo, is how many other unknown victims is he responsible for, and why would investigators not utilize all investigative resources to seek the truth?

Evansdale investigators: Klunder just one of leads in case
Published 1:19 PM CDT Jun 07, 2013

Investigators looking into the Collins, Cook-Morrissey case have said they are looking at Klunder as a possible suspect in their case.

Chief Deputy Rick Abben of the Black Hawk County Sheriff's Department released the statement:

"While Mr. Klunder's actions in Dayton are of interest to this case, our focus remains on all aspects of the investigation and he is not the sole focus of our attention. Other leads continue to be uncovered and investigators continue to follow-up on any and all information that comes in.

"We will continue to keep the public up to date as information becomes available."

The FBI's Top 10 Most Wanted Fugitives List was established by J Edgar Hoover, over 63 years ago. Yet, many Law Enforcement Investigators cling to the antiquated close to the vest silence strategy. How many more innocent victims must loose their lives or investigations grow cold before their most valuable resource is utilized?

FBI's Top 10 Most Wanted Fugitives
http://www.cbsnews.com/2300-504083_162-100139...

According to the FBI's website, the list is a publicity program designed to publicize particularly dangerous fugitives who might not otherwise merit nationwide attention, according to the FBI's website.

The program was founded on March 14, 1950, when a reporter asked late FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover for the names and descriptions of the "toughest guys" the Bureau would like to capture. The resulting article generated so much publicity and had so much appeal that Hoover implemented the top ten program.

Since its inception, 497 fugitives have been on the top ten list. Among those listed, the FBI says that 466 have been apprehended or located, including 154 fugitives who were captured or located as a result of citizen cooperation.

The current top ten list is maintained on the FBI website and relies on the assistance of citizens and the media..

DCI searching for white SUV in connection with Lyric, Elizabeth

EVANSDALE (KWWL)-
A lead investigator on the case contacted KWWL Monday with new tips that could possibly lead to more information in the Lyric and Elizabeth case.

Evansdale cousins Lyric Cook and Elizabeth Collins were abducted last July while on a bicycle ride in Evansdale.

Months later, their bodies were found in Bremer County.

Authorities on Monday morning said they have three separate witnesses who say they saw a white, older-model, full-size SUV-type vehicle -- similar to a Chevy Suburban or a Ford Bronco -- parked on Arbutus Avenue on July 13.

Investigators want to speak with the person or persons in the vehicle or anyone who has frequented the Meyers Lake area in a similar vehicle.

The person or persons in the vehicle should not be considered a suspect or person of interest at this time, but may have information about the case, officials say.

Arbutus Avenue meets up with the bike trail near Meyers Lake, where Lyric and Elizabeth's bikes were found.

Two of the witnesses say they saw the white SUV parked between these two bike trail signs.

The other witness told police they saw the vehicle parked near the woods on the east side of the lake -- only a few hundred feet from where the bikes were found.

All of three of these individuals say they saw this SUV between the times of 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on July 13, 2012.

Authorities hope this may jog people's memory and they may get more information with this tip now out in the public.

"There (are) just a lot of reports, a lot of information to read through," said Mike Roehrkasse with the Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation. "Now that there's a little bit of a lull, we are able to start pouring through those reports and make those connections."

"I think, and I hope, that this is kind of the beginning," he added.

Why in the he@@ did LE wait nearly a year to release this information, and ask for the public's help.
Memories fade as time goes by. Seems they would have had a better chance of getting useful information if they would have released this to the public a year ago.

Agree King George.. Why did investigators not connect MJ Klunder to the Collins/Cook abduction with his past criminal history. Seems that someone in MJK family, friends, or local Law Enforcement/Correction officials would have connected the dots, long before the Dayton abduction..
