Their are good reasons bad thing happen to good people. What we see as Bad is often actually good in the Long run. I will be praying for you, and I hope the others on this site share that same Love.read "The Charles Darwin Bible" I really believe it will enlighten you in many ways. By the way Charles Darwin was a seminary study and was on the HMS Beagle as part thesis at the insistence of his botany professor Rev. Henslow .Originally slated for a 2 year coastal survey of South America it was extended to a 5 year adventure. Original theses was adaption of the mockingbird.
His Origin of Species was only and abstract to a larger work which he never completed. He persuaded to release his abstract when he learned that a naturalist by the name of Alfred Wallace was going to present his works which closely paralleled Darwin.

Cool, I'll have to take a look at that.

But I will ask of you, give me one good example of how something bad happening to somebody good can lead to something positive. Especially in the case where I gave earlier about the 4 fatherless children. I know that example is extreme but it proves my point well. No matter how good the next step-father that comes along is to those kids, nobody will ever take the place of their father. Bottom line, nothing good can come from that situation, I just hope the girl can keep a positive attitude about it. I understand your perspective, say for instance: somebody can lose their job after a long time of being with a company, thereafter he/she can return to school for a better career. That would be one example of something good coming from something bad, but it's not quite the same.

I can understand how the situation could be very difficult, and they will never beable to replace their father.I can not think of all scenarios but lets say a step father comes along who has lost his family and he is able to give the children a Love that only he can share because he has suffered a lose himself. Or someday those children may be able to help others through their grief having suffered as they have. If it is a good Stepfather who Loves and respects them and their mother they might someday be stepparents themselves These are just a few cases I'm sure their are many more, and my heart goes out to them, How long ago did they lose their Father? Will they be able to have a Christmas? On the later please let me know.

This actually just happened to a family out of Jeff Davis county around 4 weeks ago. He died of complications from the flu. They have alot of family and friends looking out for them which is a good thing. His name was Stanley Bohannon and his wife is Kimberly.

Granted, I hope that is the case, perhaps she will find a good family man to help her raise her kids. However, one could argue that no matter if she finds the perfect person for the job, nobody will be able to be to those 4 kids what their daddy was. The only point I was making is that there was no benevolent spirit watching over Stanley. This would be an insensitive thing to say to the family right now, but you have to see the situation for what it is. There is absolutely nothing good that comes from this sort of tragedy. They just have to pick up the pieces and move on with the best attitude possible; not focusing on "why it happened" but rather focus on finding strength and happiness after the fact.

Your Right on the point it would be very insensitive to try show them a bright side right now. My Love and prayers go out to this family. Know that I will be thinking of them. I would challenge you to keep and eye and be concerned for them, and know that what you call coincidence and I call miracles will probably occur in their lives. Just look for them they will occur, maybe not as fast as we would hope for, but they will.

Why didn't you just go talk to the Preacher? Letter on the window? Animal Control? The Mayor? Might be a little paranoia going on.

Where did you get your information ?? You should have remained silent and let peopl think you were an Iddiot, instead of opening your mouth and removing all doubt... You non-believers are all alike.. you make invalid and unsubstantiated ignorant comments about the only source of Truth there is... Any time you want a debate on whether He is or isn't the Savior based on proven facts come see me... But you must have a validation source acceptable.

I am sorry you have had this terrible experience, Sharon. And no, if these people responded this way to your request of them not to park in your yard, then they are NOT christians, just name-droppers. True christians are by no means perfect, but when they realized they had offended you, they should have apologized and offered to pay for repairs to your yard. Name-droppers do as they please without remorse. They seek vengeance out of spite and do things only to "serve themselves."
Again, I am sorry for your experience. I only ask that you not judge everyone who may call themselves "christians" by the actions of these pretenders. The only real difference between a true christian and everyone else is that a true christian asks forgiveness - from God, from himself, and from his fellow man...
