Just for you two.

Reminds me of a statement made by Nicolas Cage in the movie, "Con Air", something similar to (I've added to it):

There's only a few people in this world that I really care about what they think of me. None of them are on this board.

Kinda reminds one of junior high or high school.

They have begun a path back to darkness. It's as if the past 300 years never happened for them. They've reverted back to a time when religious dogma was considered absolute. It really does resemble the kind of thinking that exists in the Wahhabists.
goodgodamighty
Play that fiddle. If nothing ever happens, it will be all good. If something does happen, you are in big trouble. Would you have believed the right wingers if they had told you about the IRS, AP and Benghazi situations? No. Look at what's happening. You can stand up and pound your self-righteous chest all you want, but at the end of the day, you just MIGHT be wrong.

Yes Yes to all you sick repubs. We all can tell you all are'nt feeling so well lately, but maybe just maybe in 3 years and 8 months down the road you all will be able to defecate another monster on us but after bush I really doubt it. When it all come down to the rubber meeting the road, you have to convince one third of we voters, that your candidate is better than their candidate. Now you all can wish and hope work each other up into a frenzy over the temporary IRS problem or Benghazi, but your party picks are dead in the road and stink to high heaven.

You obviously have us confused with the Dims posting on this board. They show us quite frequently, even after having Obama in office for almost 5 years, they're STILL unhappy & angry- constantly in attack mode. Why not just be happy ahout it????? Please explain.

The information may be valid, but it requires processing that information in order for it to do anyone any good.
“just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded” as the U.S. military. They also ignore the context...." Actually, looking at the context is what creates the disconnect. Given the purported roles that "national security force" would fill - and then describing it as "just as powerful...strong...well-funde d as the US military" - should make people pause and wonder why such a "force" would be needed.

The purchase of almost 3,000 armored vehicles for use WITHIN the US is also something that should have everyone scratching their head as to the need for that many vehicles of that type within our own borders.- This was not mentioned in the prior post, but certainly is related.

Finally, the rationale for purchasing that much ammunition as a "cost cutting" measure is absurd. Again, the amount of ammunition the Dept of HOMELAND Security bought is enough for 106 YEARS based on past and current usage rates of 15/Million year that are listed in the quoted article. At the same time, the Chief Procurement Officer for DHS, Nick Nayak, claims they "are not" stockpiling ammunition so which is it - are they stockpiling to save money or are they not stockpiling - and if not, what are they doing with all that ammunition?

L Sign at a Gun Show

"My brother and I went to the Gun Show at Reliant Center Saturday, Mar.23, 2013.
An all-day big show and lots of guns. Looked like people buying mostly hand guns and a lot were just looking, as we were. Thousands of people, hundreds signing up and joining the NRA - wow!
The best sign I saw there was at a booth that read :
"IF YOU VOTED FOR OBAMA, WE DO NOT WANT YOUR BUSINESS.
YOU'RE TOO DAMN STUPID TO HAVE A FIREARM!"

Now this is a real background check...!

But give knowledge a try, and perhaps you'll get a grasp on why you'll never see a moderate or progressive allowed to run for national office, until wealth and income disparity is reversed.
Here's a great book -
"What Then Must We Do?: Straight Talk About the Next American Revolution"
author: Gar Alperovitz
Gar Alperovitz is a professor of political economy at the University of Maryland and a co-founder of the Democracy Collaborative. His books include "The Decision to Use the Atomic Bomb" and "America Beyond Capitalism."
"But give knowledge a try, and perhaps you'll get a grasp on why you'll never see a moderate or progressive allowed to run for national office, until wealth and income disparity is reversed."

I would LOVE to hear an explanation of this statement - Are you attempting to claim that Bill Clinton and Obama are neither moderate nor progressive - REALLY? Are you attempting to say Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, Christopher Dodd and Joe Biden are not moderate or progressive? Please define the words then.

And recommending a book by Gar Alperovitz - no, thank you. The man is a loon. He's a good little liberal who pretends he KNOWS what Truman really knew in WWII and he KNOWS what Truman's motivations were in dropping the bombs - never mind all the factual evidence that completely demolishes his pet theories.

<quoted text>Everyday is a bad day for these republicans, let's just keep it that way by keeping them outa the White House. You hear them on this forum and the term "Misery loves company " comes to mind. They are trying to come up with anything to get our President out and nothing now or before is going to do this. Some IRS employees will be fired and someone but our president will take the heat for Benghazi and then we non-republicans are going to expect congress to benghazi on to more important issues, such as immigration reform. But now you wait and see if in their desperate situation republicans put immigration reform on the back burner and burn much precious time on smaller prioities like benghazi and some few IRS people who broke the law.
It is a shame most of you on the Left can't see past your nose and recognize what most of us consider the more troubling aspects of both Benghazi and the IRS scandal.

Benghazi - The questions about the lack of security and even the reduction in security were enough to justify inquiry, but what makes no sense at all is the REASON for all those misleading changes to the talking points - why was the State Dept (and whomever else was involved) so in knots about parsing every word in the talking points and why continue the fiction about a video that they knew was fiction.
It isn't so much they made all the changes and continued to blame a video - it is WHY they did those things that on their face are so STUPID.

And do you really not want to know WHO told military support to stand down, when they were ready to go and help Americans in danger and were just begging for permission? I think you would feel differently if it were one of your family members who were seemingly abandoned.
(and no, I don't think it was Obama, I just want to know who it was and once again, WHY?)

The IRS - HOW can you not see the danger when a government entity with the absolute power the IRS wields goes after organizations that "it" (meaning those in positions of power) disagrees with. And even more frightening - having as one of the criteria for "extra scrutiny" the simple phrase "criticize the government". Do you really care so little about the 1st Amendment?
I do not believe, and the evidence supports that belief , that this was just low level employees. The IG report states DC supervisor involvement as well as involvement of IRS personnel in California, not just Ohio. But even if it were "just" low level employees, don't you think it should bother you that they felt they could get away with harassing organizations simply because THEY disagreed with them? It should.

Great post! Of course you'll get no sensible response from any liberal. What you will get is mockery, hooting, and a lot of whining it was Bush's fault.

None are close to moderate or progressive.

Everyone mentioned is far to the right of Dwight Eisenhower for God's sake.

Clinton signed NAFTA that destroyed millions of American jobs, but added trillions to the profits of corporations who moved those jobs to Mexico.

That's a Right Winger, and he has been repaid in millions and millions of dollars in "contributions" to his "Library",$1 Million Dollar "speeches", and seats on boards of manufactures companies.

Dodd has protected the boards of banks and corporations more the anyone else, providing weak, toothless regulations on banks and corporations to assure no actual oversight occurs.

He is repairs with Millions in contributions.

Elizabeth Warren is the only true moderate in the Senate- and she was not encouraged or supported to the extent she should have been, in fact, Obama refused to appoint to regulating position(s) because the banks hated her so.

Obama is Bush with a brain, and as long as Right Wing Wackos keep accusing him of being liberal, the actual Right Wing money folks just sit back and laugh at you all.

Please.

Keep pretending Right Wingers give a damn about our troops.

What a crock.

5,000 American troops dead for no purpose other than getting Bush re-elected as a "War-Time" president.

13 embassy and consulate attacks under Bush resulting in 60 dead.

And Right Wingers don't say a word.

Suddenly 2 CIA mercenaries and 2 State Department employees are killed under confusing circumstances and suddenly they demand this and demand that.

Anyone who takes them seriously has to believe Right Wing Wackos are just too stupid or ignorant to know that 2001 to 2009 occurred.
