Wayne offers family fun

Wayne County will be a buzz of activity this weekend with a wide array of family-friendly fun to entertain the county.

•Odum Day will represent the culmination of the week’s preparations and excitement. T

A cake walk for children and senior citizens will be held at 12:15 p.m.,. The day will conclude with a gospel sing at 7 p.m.

Well it was great. even if you only make 10k. Thanks to all the good people of Odum it was another success. Many reunions and friends connected. Great entertainment and as always some of the best food around. thanks to all who came out and supported us. I am on the committee. The money that is made from this goes back into the next Odum day as well as charities, a scholorship and from time to time we like to help out someone in the community that has financial needs. All those that support it know this that it is a time to help out your community and make memories that your kids cannot find on tv or texting.

Easy there Gufeando/Tink!!! These small town festivals serve a wonderful purpose! Those of us who participate, enjoy our time with neighbors, family and old and new friends. Often we get to see folks who come into town just for the event. Please do not belittle the hard work and effort these committe members put into these festivals.
