And you read the tabloids too much and put faith in the reporting of Don Weber and his ilk. How is that objective (or intelligent for that matter?)

I'm fine. But I do take offense when someone calls my father names. How'd you like if I insulted your family? Wouldn't like it much, would you?

You'd think I'd be the one with a temper, growing up in a state with people who call my dad a murderer. Whatever.

I realize I won't change people's minds. Some people are just determined to be ignorant. But so help me, I'll defend myself and those in my life to the bitter end. I won't let others talk smack about them. I won't stand for it.

I think the thing that stops a lot of people feeling that she suffered from a mental illness was the fact that she killed only her daughters

PPD is a serious condition no doubt about that... it MAY explain why she killed dear loralei but what explains dumping her poor nakid body in the woods lie about a intruder and keep this up for over 3 years ? to only go on and kill yet another innocent soul and dump her like trash ?? and yet AGAIN lie about an intruder ? PPD... i think not ! funny PPD doesn't discriminate against the babies sex.... and paula's so called PPD did... leave her where she is !respect 2 innocent souls that never had a chance and let her die there alone..

in response to "stunned" yes we're all entitled to our opinion but there's a fine line between an opinion and an insult no matter what you or anyone thinks of Robert Sims we have no right throwing crude and hurtful remarks towards someone who loves his father & family very much when he himself was an innocent child at the time, unless you we're there 24/7 no-body can have a "right" perspective on Robert Sims perhaps listening to someone who was there 24/7 (randy) might be the way to go ? all the best Randy keep your head up hun.

I went to school with Paula and she was strange then. I then lived next door to Paula #2, who had 4 childredn, 2 boys, 2 girls. When I first moved there, the girls were the apple of her eyes, and the boys were just there, not really noticed by her in any way, they just existed and she did feed and cloth them. A few months after she started dating Robert Sims, it was a complete turn around. The girls were no longer her favorites, and the boys were getting way with murder and doing whatever they wanted and being dressed to the hilt and paraded around like they were her only kids and favored over the girls daily. Don't even tell me that Robert Sims had nothing to do with that. Even she said it was him turning her against her own daughters, and thankfully she got away from him. I saw 2 beautiful little girls go from princesses to rags and 2 little boys go from rags to princes, so don't tell me that Robert is innocent in any way. Hes just as guilty because he can brain wash a person to think, and Randy had to be taken care of to make his dad look good.

Perhaps ruined was too strong a word. I've done my best go overcome this, but I have certainly been at a disadvantage. My dad did the best he could raising me, but I still did not have a normal childhood. Since most of the state considers my dad an accessory to murder, it was difficult growing up a few miles from where the murders took place.
Much of what Precious Victims says are outright fabrications. Don Weber is an ass who's only consideration was to make money and advance in political office. It was a pleasure to vote against him in his recent bid to become a judge.
I'm glad that not all of you are so judgemental towards my dad. I've spoken to several of you by email.
Then why didn't you move away from the area?

why should he move.... he's the most innocent one in this besides his 2 angel sisters....randy has done no wrong for people to judge him for what his father may or may not have done is insane...

Millions of women in this country have suffered from PPD and they have not killed their babies. Paula Sims is right where she deserves to be.

Randy...I applaud you for posting on this board. I can only imagine how rough things have been for you. I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive Paula because hate will eat you up and you deserve better.

Excuse me. I don't think that is what I would classify as "intelligent conversation". Don't post like that in our section. I'll "suggest" to the site admins that you need "removed".

I happened on to this site by freak accident and saw this forum.
I was in Lamaze with Paula and Robert when she was pregnant with Loralei.
I remember them well and although I hate to judge people she appeared very despondent even then.
My son was born on May 16th, 1986 and she was only a few weeks behind him. I was upset over the news of what had happened, but somehow skeptical at the beginning.
I feel bad for Randy because no matter what the circumstances were, he did not ask for any of this and the very fact that he is furthering his education and not a deadbeat lowlife lazy bum says alot for his character. I've seen spoiled kids do alot less with their lives with a hell of alot more advantages.

I remember looking at Paula during her trial and thinking her lawyer was not very good at representing her. I felt sorry for her
and believe she was going through post partum suffering.
This woman murdered 2 innocent babies. Her husband was guilty also inasmuch as she had to leave the marriage bed when she had girl babies...apparently neither liked girls. She should NEVER get out of prison, and though she did the crime, her husband was just as guilty as she killed to please him and get back in the marriage bed. These were two really twisted individuals who should have NEVER had children period. No offense to the son who has posted here but he was the prized child; certainly he has remorse for the sisters that were brutally taken away from him. May Paula & her demented husband rot in hell.

Another thought about this case. The husband stated they had the most lasting sex ever after the 2nd baby was murdered (of course he wasn't admitting to the murder only the disappearance of the baby)...what kind of perverts are these two anyway.

One never knows what goes on in another persons head, nor should we always try. I only have a small clue as to how Paula feels, and how Randy might feel. In reality I have not been on either side of what they have gone threw. What I do wonder is when is it okay to forgive, let go, and let someone have some kind of limited life? When is it time for a Son to stop repeting what he has heard from others and not from the true source?

I am supposed to forgive, but it hasn't happened yet. Telling me that I'm supposed to is all well and good, but in reality it is very difficult. Maybe I will someday.

Allowing a cold blooded murderer to be free, on the other hand, is not something God requires me to do. Under His law, the woman should have been executed.

I have heard what happened from those most affected. Who cares about the reasons from a cold blooded murderer? Nothing she could say would make anything right and would only enrage me. I have made my own decisions. My father is not forcing me to write this. I want to because I will not allow you people to talk about me in this way. I will not allow ignorance to flow without putting in my opinion.

Randy, I can never know what you and your family went through during this. I was just a kid myself when that happened. It was so long ago that I can't honestly say that I remember many of the details but I hope that God helps you and your father find peace in this. God would ask that you forgive her but no one who has commented in this forum could ask you such a thing, unless they themselves have gone through what your family has. I don't feel that "Gods law" requires that she be "put to death", as he did command us that "Thou shalt not kill" and I imagine that it does include this instance. Although, I feel that for what she has done, she should probably spend the remainder of her life in jail. God will forgive her if she asks him, and he would ask you to do the same as he would, but I don't feel that she should get a shorter sentence and I don't feel that any of us have the right to ask or expect you to do anything.
