Can you type and form sentences in the English language? Reading the above post, it would appear there is little hope for you or your child.
Intelligence never goes out of style.. clothes do.
A sad commentary of today's youth so self absorbed in clothing but not education or their future.

I work with children from a down that started a dress code for the first time this school year. Last year the public school kids wore shorts up to their butt and their belly rings were showing along with their thongs. The boys had their pants half way down their butt. This year they all look so nice. It's not real strict but they could wear longer uniform shorts, pants, clam diggers, skirts, skorts, and pants in Navy, or Tan. Their shirts must be light or dark blue, white, or tan. There are many different styles to choose from. The teachers and aides also have a dress code this year. Last year the teachers wore jeans and sneakers....Now they have to wear a nice pair of pants or a skirt etc and real shoes. They had a slight problem in the high school last year and the authorities could't tell the teachers apart from the students. So dress code it is.

Way to waste time and money with uniforms. we need other changes indone to the schools. it's so sad that the board of education is focusing on something that isn't going to help us in life. i understand that students sometimes do not follow the school code but that has nothing to do with learning. Kids need help with life choices and problems that cross our minds. i, myself am a student that goes to clifton high school so i know what im talking about.

Maybe we should just have teachers and adminstrators that ENFORCE the present dress code. This business with the pants hanging and low cut tops needs to be stopped. Actually most of the kids follow the rules.

Some of the benefits of uniforms far outweigh the arguments against the. Gang colors (and the are everywhere) would be gone. Those who have used them declare that 80% of those schools see a decline in inproper activities in the classroom. Over half of principals surveys nationally agree they have a positive impact.Over 75% of the schools noted a reduction in peer pressure after adopting the uniforms.Former President Clinton in a major address praised the use of uniforms in Long Beach. And no one should get anything for FREE. If it's based on free lunch numbers they are so phoney cause they are not reviewed by anyone. It's a farce that Clifton schools continue to let happen as do other schools. THere sould be 100% review so the Federal government could save money that in turn can be given to the schools to reduce the tax burden that is hurting so many homeowners in New Jersey.Telling families that a certain color shirt/blouse and certain color(s) for slacks will SAVE folks money. Anyone that knows how much school clothes cost today will understand that simple math. Start with K-5 NOW and in six years everyone will be use to the system.

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Taurus

Someone is very short-tempered, and they're liable to fly off the handle at a moment's notice. Maybe they're feeling vulnerable in some way or are desperately trying to defend what they see as their territory. Be sensitive to this and don't goad them into being even more irritable or upset than they are already. Frankly, it's just not worth it.
