Fight Al Qaeda in Iraq under Bush= Bad
Fight Al Queda in Afghanistan under Obama= Good

Oh I still haven't found and answer to what 550 metric tons of yellow cake uranium was doing in Iraq and without much fanfare wisked to Canada last year. You make baby formula with that? WMD components?

Just so you know, the upcoming deployment to Afganistan has been in the works since before Obama even started running for president. I'm not saying he is perfect. I am just saying that if you are going to lay blame, you should know what you are talking about.

<quoted text> From my point of view ( THE OBAMA )is at fault for the Vermont National Guard going to Afghanistan. As for everything else I am willing to wait and see. Give him time he might a bigger mess than the Republican Kennedy in Vietnam The Republican Carter with high inflation The Republican Clinton with NAFTA Look how it helped Bennington with Stanley Tools and Johnson Contron Going to Mexico. Hope we don't get a Democrate like Nixon who got us out of Vietnam and ended the draft. Now answer the question ( THE OBAMA )is sending the guard should we ie VERMONTERS not support him by sending 100 %?

If you are a veteran ( WHICH I AM ) you should know that when you get a new commander he has the authority to countermand orders. So as President all he has to do is say IN THE NAME OF THE OBAMA let the Vermont National guard stay home. He could even say IN THE NAME OF OBAMA LEAVE AFGHANISTIAN. So as a veteran please tell mw what would the military do ???

how long will this invasion and evident crime against humanity last? It is lost war just as every invasion and occupation- it leaves only tousends of these innocent Afghans dead and it leaves only debts and nothing more.

So, since you are a veteran as well, you should know that these battle plans/deployments are set well in advance. That being said, do you really think the president looks at every individual unit being sent over everyday? Remember, Bush sent us too. Plus, if Obama did single us out and kept Vermont home, who would have to go in our place? I spent a year in Iraq. Did I want to go? No. Am I going to have to go over again? Probably. But I raised my hand and do my duty to make sure all my guys come home. That is exactly what they are going to do in this deployment as well. We are already getting ready to get out of Iraq. Lets hope we can say the same about Afganistan soon. All we can do as the military is go where we are told. Did you REALLY like Bush? Because you would be the only vet I've heard of that did. Like I said before, I don't think Obama is perfect but he is trying to clean up 8 years of G.W. That would be a daunting task for anyone.

I did not say if I liked Bush or that I disliked Obama. This is aimed at all of the Obama supporters who said they are against any war. I am trying to point out that what happens now is happening on Obama's watch 01/20/09 mean's now that he is president he should get the blame or the credit for what happens. To tell the truth I hope the results are like a Nixon in Vietnam and get everyone out. As you say ( make sure all my guys come home ) the rest of it is all trash talk that is above the pay grade of those who's boot's are one the ground doing the dirty work.
