Such talk really surprises me. Kids are going to be kids, you know. They don't have the "hurry up" mentality, it's against their nature. What are you going to do, fine parents and bus drivers? Too many people in Vermont have gone fanatic.

All I have to do is go to NYC and look around Times Square to figure out that this kind of thinking is nonsense. We could stop everyone in Brattleboro from idleing their vehicles for the rest of their lives and not make a dent in the wasted energy in Times Square.
But that being said I think we should get some of those stickers like they use at the Food Coop and send out grade school kids into the neighborhoods and put those hard to remove stickers on every car they find idleing on a cold January morning. How dare they idle their cars when it is 3 degrees. We should make them pay. Acutally maybe we could make it a violation and put a boot on every car we find idleing. Then they'd have to walk to the police department and pay a fine and walk home which would help out with the obesity problem.
As long as we are on obesity. Let's get Daims to petition to put on the ballot an inititive to ban the sale of potato chips in the Brattleboro grocery stores.
