Suspended license? Why? Another person driving who should not be on the road? When will the madness end?

Given a summons for a suspended license in a fatal accident? INSANE!

Driving with a suspended should be treated the same or harsher than DWI.

Only those with multiple prior offenses have their licenses suspended!

The Police should confiscate the Jeep and crush it!

Newsday Editor:

The headline is wrong.

A Jeep Cherokee is classified as a Light Truck not a Car.

Any relation to representative Dave Mejias?

Another pedestrian death on our roads. The government should eliminate all street level pedestrian crossings, and replace them with either bridges or tunnels (like on Hempstead Tpke in Uniondale).

Whatever happened in catching the driver that killed Jeffrey Siegel crossing Mineola Blvd, Roslyn Heights, July 9? I thought they identified the car.

The date in the previous post regarding Mineola Blvd should be July 6, 2007, not the 9th.

Get your facts straight!!!! His license was suspended after due to a ticket that they found that was outstanding. You make it seem as though he was driving when he wasn't supposed to under a suspended license.

Also the paper should get all the facts and publish and not sensationalize.

I know Kenny and he is a good person and hurting so bad over this accident. He had the green to go and along that stretch the street lights were out. The lady was also crossing where she wasn't supposed to. The whole thing was an accident and he is not a scumbag.

It's a horrible thing that happend for them both.

The paper makes no note about the fact that the lady was walking when she didn't have the right of way. She was an elderly lady walking through a dark area. There were tons of witnesses that told the detectives what they saw and that it was an accident. God forbid the paper put any of that in there.

I agree. The main roads on Long Island have become too dangerous. Although tunnels I think would become hangouts for criminals. The average person couldn't walk through them without feeling endangered.

He didn't have multiple prior offenses. He had a HOV ticket. Once they saw that they had to suspend his license until he got it paid.

Nothing is ever black or white...there are always shade of grey and people shouldn't judge unless they have all the facts.

Maybe everyone on here should stop judging we all been down different roads you were not there so dont pass judgement your not god and dont believe everything u read it was a horriable accident and he his distrat about the sitution he was not driving on a suspend license it was given after the fact and they forget to mention the lady was jay walking when the light was green and the street light was also out and he tried to Swerve the car and not strike her.The Ignorant comments are uncalled for. He not a monster he a wonderful person with a good heart and did not mean to hurt her and her family.
My Condolences go out to the family.
