Some video games can be good. It can teach problem solving and creating strategies. However, I don't know one typical teenage boy that plays less than 2 hours of video games a day. Those with autism tend to be obsessive in one restricted thing they like. Part of being a parent is trying to introduce other things to a child to increase their restricted obsessing behaviors. There's hardly a child on earth who wouldn't do something they really like 24/7, if they were allowed to.

Why not clean up the vaccines that cause the conditions instead of worrying after the injuries and genetic mutations.

There's a lot of good things that can come out of playing video games - if you look at the kids today posting fan art and fan fiction for these games, there's some amazing, AMAZING creative young minds getting fired up out there. From video games, kids get into creative storytelling, art and computer graphics, and even programming games of their own.

People that can't get past the old stereotypes do a real disservice to the possibilities that computers and games hold for any curious mind. Your kid really could be the next Bill Gates - unless you make him feel dirty every time he sits down in front of a keyboard or gamepad because his parents can't see beyond conventional thinking enough to be open minded about understanding that learning can come from absolutely anywhere in life.
