Well I have lived in this town for 37 years now paid all there rediculous taxes and then some. I have yet to get any help from this mayor or the 2 previous ones. The only good thing about this one is at least he is starting some where and firing some of the people that think Oh well he wont do anything becauuse he doesnt want to piss anyone off! This is the greatest thing Thats happened in 28 years I have lived here. Make the people with the gimme jobs that dont do shit and havent for years realize and feel the same pressure of keeping a job as anyone else has. It is not right to fire someon thats doing there job as best they can but these people treat it like welfare they show up and spo we owe em something? They act like they are doing you a favor if they do even show up. Scotty Church is the sorriest of them all and has given me his attitude every time I have had a problem or had any dealings with him. He is the first one that should have gotten fired. Not very hard to replace he does nothing and yet has been kepy on tax payers and city pay roll way to long! If Mr. Kincer does make any further changes to better the town get some people in these position that relize u are suppose to work and earn your living not sit on your a$$ and get paid!

I don't know if you are familiar with the guy that got fired, but that guy had been there for every shift for 14 years, gone to the school & training and got all the proper certification to run the water plant, and keep it in compliance with the law, never lied, cheat or stole anything. He didn't just sit on his butt. He did the job he was assigned to do, and that was to monitor and keep our water at proper levels. Thats hard to do when the BOSS lies, cheats and steals. Yet the boss is still there. Strange, huh? The fired kid also picked up trash up and down the road and did other chores at night. Everything he was given to do, he did. The only thing he did wrong was call the out on some illegal stuff they were doing and they couldn't take the heat. So they fired the honest guy and kept the crooks. That's not the kind of change I want in my city.

Well what ever happened to FREEDOM OF SPEECH??????????

I would like to know why we need to mayors? We have G. C and Todd. What the ........ We have never needed to Mayors before why now? Oh I guess Todd needed a job, that would not take much of his time or effort. G.C you better get your spending under control, guess that explains the new tax.

Yep, that also explain why he is so broke that he is driving around in a city vehicle that the police should be driving since 4 of their cars are broke down. What a JOKE!!!!!!!!!!

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but don't the city sticker money go for the upkeep of the roads and stuff. And if it does, has anyone payed attention to the condition of the roads lately? My holler and a whole lot more are absolutely pathetic. I see the mayor driving a brand new ride, but yet it's like driving around on a logging road when I go home. Whats the deal? Between the tax increase and these stupid stickers, you think we could get a little asphalt, at least patch the potholes. But, oh well, just another pathetic good for nothing douchebag to go on the wall as our fearless leader.

We pay the highest taxes in Letcher county. I live and work in Jenkins. You can't drink the water. Can't get a pot hole fixed that was caused by the city letting a coal company destroy the road. And the police are a joke. Told an officer about a lady who drives like a crazy person in our neighborhood. Speed limit 15 she does about 60. He told us they can't do anything to her.
Now tell me again what has this mayor done for us. Nothing tried to talk to him and was told he wasn't in. Saw him go in the building in front of me and go upstairs. Thanks alot for nothing.
Oh and if you go to a meeting and talk against the mayor or the city you get escorted out.

I watch the meetings on channel 98 and this whole post is nothing but garbage. While Jenkins is not perfect, the water is just fine and much better than most places. If your speed limit is 15 and someone drives 60 there is going to be a wreck. Some people need to get a life or get out.

No, the water is not "fine". Just call the division of water in frankfort and ask them about the tests that come back contaminated all the time in Jenkins! and yes people do speed.

Yes people do speed, but 60 mph in a 15 mph zone, get real. If the division of water thought there was an emergency with the water they would have been here from day one.

If you don't line the mayor say it to his face and move on.

People in our community have tried on several occassion to talk to Mr. Kincer only to be told he is not in or is out of town. That's funny I saw him the other day walk in city hall and when I ask to speak to him I was told he is not in today.
All we want is a lttle return for all the taxes we pay. As for the water we get letter's all the time with our water bill telling us that levels of different chemicals are high. And when you turn on the faucet and the water is brown. All we get told by the water company is we need to flush lines. Ok flush them already.
The speeding problem you don't live in this neighborhood. It's one person that does it. And the police have told us she is untouchable. That doesn't make since.
Mr. Kincer can keep dodging us. But come election time he might as well not come here looking for votes.
I live here and pay my taxes and all other bills on time. I've known MR. Kincer for years when he got elected I thought he would be good for Jenkins. But he has turned out to be just like the ones before him..

The last two post are by the same person or two friends wanting to stir trouble. As the old saying goes "the more your stir it, the more it stinks" applies here. I don't know which part of town you live on but the water is clear here.

The statement made about someone going 60 in a 15 mph zone is way off. The biggest problem in town now is the unsupervised kids riding dirt bikes, 4-wheelers, and other types of ATVs. This does need attention before someone does get hurt.

well that for a with some of the other posts that they cops aren't doing anything because they are afraid to make the mayors buddys or wife mad and will be fired or harassed like other have been. Open your eyes. And yes I hold a grudge against people not doing the right thing. Let's just let everyone do what ever they want and see what happens! Oh yea, the mayor is already Doing that. Never mind then LOL.

The lake is a joke. They need to have an open season on those damn geese but too bad the first lady mayor is a PETA person. Can't walk around anywhere without stepping on geese and duck shit. The Half million dollar pool will be full of geese shit before it even opens. The softball and football field are already full. The lake needs cleaned, and stocked with fish to make people want to come to what used to be one of the nicest areas in the town. It has become one of the nastiest places in town. The sidewalks are stained from all the bird/duck/geese shit!!

Anoth thing are beavers. Those things need out of here. They are building dams higher than the sewer manholes causing the creek to dump into the sewer system, then downstream the sewer system is over capacity and mushrooming out of the manholes and running back into the creek! Too bad the first lady stopped that too. What a fail. Animals are tasty, shoot them and throw them on the grill with some BBQ sauce! Clean up the city!
