There is a reason why they put seatbelts in cars.

What kind of a sentence is "The highway was not currently closed."? Grammatically incorrect with mixed tenses

Sometimes seatbelts are kind of uncomfortable, but I have to believe it's not as bad as being ejected from a car.

I'd rather deal with the seatbelt. To each his own though.

Thank God he's ok. I hope he gets better and remembers to put it on the next time he drives.
We can not judge him for ne seat belt as we do not know why he did not have it on.
I know those of you do-gooders who never do anything wrong will have plenty to say but let me say this and then I'll leave, Don't judge because one day you will be judged and what goes around comes around. God Bless

Tell me more... what kind of excuses are there for not being able to wear a seatbelt?

Sorry to hear the driver was hurt. Hopefully he makes a quick recovery.

I will be curious to hear from the driver if it was cheaper to fix the broken seatbelt or pay the hospital bills.

May not have prevented the accident nor his injuries, but now we will never know.

Why should anyone have to be made to do something that they don't want to do?
This guy didn't want to wear his seatbelt, he's now hurt because of it, but he made a personal decision on his own. He's a grown up.

We should all be free to make the decisions that we feel are necessary for ourselves.

Anyone ever hear of an accident when the person wearing the seatbelt would have survived if he had chosen not to put it on. It can go either way people. My current belief is that the seatbelt law is crazy, and it should be each individual users choice. My choice so I do not wear one. ;-)

I agree with Hellbound. Replacing the belt would have been easier and cheaper than being ejected from the car. Just wait and see what happens with the insurance co. First they will most likely drop him and will be near impossible to get a new policy. If he does it will be very expensive. Hope he recovers quickly and learns from this.

So if the headlights were broken would you still drive at night? Safety first....

People need to just slow down. Why do people insist on driving like speedracers in this crappy weather?

Can the insurance company decide for itself not to pay a claim caused by a choice that conflicts with the law? Choices go both ways....personal RESPONSIBILITY!
