Thanks to my Dad for being willing to fly at 60 ft. above Cuba during the '60's so that the U2's could get pictures of the Russian Missile sites...

Thanks to all for remembering. I've been out 40 years but some of the memories both good and bad are as vivid as if they happened yesterday. If called today, I would serve again. God Bless America.

Thank God for the men and women who sacrifice everyday to keep us safe and secure, to keep our allies safe, and to ensure that we will remain a free nation. We are fortunate to live in America, especially in a time of such unrest, but it's only because of our fighting forces, active and retired. These soldiers are truly the best we have to offer. For that I respectfully salute you, today and everyday! Thank you heroic veterans. We're proud of you!

As the wife of a veteran, and a member of VFW Auxiliary, I hope everyone takes a moment to salute the brave men and women who have served this Country and fought for our freedoms. I encourage all to attend a local event honoring our veterans and show them support. And don't forget to shake the hand of a veteran and thank them. God Bless America.

I'd like to thank my Cousin Gene who served as a Chaplin during the Vietnam conflict. I'd like to thank my wife Cindy who retired from the Army Corps of Engineers after 23 years of service. And I'll take a little tap for myself as I served in the National Guard from '71 to '76. And also I'd like to thank ALL other veterans for their sacrifices they and their families have made and continue to make to our Country.

It is a wonderful way to say thank you. I encourage everyone to stop by and pick up a star off the tree in the main lobby at the Veterans Home.

Please encourage any Vets that haven't already done so to get interviewed for the "Veterans History Project". Their story will be video taped and sent to the Library of Congress to preserve history. Very worth while project.
